GOOD NEWS.

CHAPTER 31: GOOD NEWS.

"How was your day at the office and the meeting you had today?" Justin asked Mr Bishop who had just returned from the office.

"Everything went well as planned," Mr Bishop responded.

Justin nodded and he sat on one of the chairs in front of Mr Bishop's table.

"I trust you had a good time at home too?" Mr Bishop asked as he was face down engrossed in the paperwork before him.

"Yes, I did," Justin answered. "Although, I wasn't home all day."

"Hmm," Mr Bishop sighed and looked at Justin, slightly furrowing his brow, leaning into his reclining chair.

"You left the Estate? Where did you go this time?" Mr Bishop asked. "haven't I told you to stay calm for now?"

"Am sorry, but it wasn't to defy your directive," Justin said.

"What was it then?" Mr Bishop asked.

"I just needed to go check my things at my apartment, just to make sure they were still intact, and get the necessary things, like my personal effects," he explained.

"Mm. But at least you should have informed me or Gomez so as to have some guards accompany you," Mr Bishop said and he signed.

"Yeah, I didn't go all by myself. Frank instructed one of the guard to accompany me."

"Good. That was wise of him," Mr Bishop said, nodding.

"I believe you didn't get into trouble?" Mr Bishop asked.

"Well, nothing we couldn't handle. We were approached by a couple of thugs, demanding I gave them my valuables, and car," Just reported.

"Where you hurt?" Mr Bishop asked.

"Nah. They couldn't get away with anything, and I wasn't touched," Justin replied.

"Just make to not go to such places unguarded."

"Yes. I won't," Justin assured.

"Speaking of, one of the reasons I came to see you was to let you know my thoughts regarding your proposition," Justin said.

"I'm all ears," Mr Bishop paid attention.

"Okay," Justin sighed. "I thought about it, and yeah, I accept. I accept the offer to be the CEO."

"Are you sure?" Mr Bishop asked. "I want you to be sure that you're not being coerced, or under pressure to take on this responsibility."

"I mean, it''s your birthright and I want you to have access to it on time," Mr Bishop added.

"I mean it from my heart when I say, am not being pressured, at all. Hell, it's been a dream of mine. I know that I can handle it with your help and guidance, of course," Justin said.

"Mm, I see. I know you will make a great CEO," Mr Bishop said, smiling satisfactorily.

"Thank you," Justin appreciated him.

Mr Bishop nodded in acknowledgement, as he stood up and opened his arms widely requesting a hug from Justin.

Justin stood up as well and gave him a hug.

"You are truly my son, with all my observations. You reminded me of my youthful days," Mr Bishop recounted.

Justin held him very tight and was in tears. Tears of joy I mean. As he began reflecting back on everything he had gone through in the hands of the Adams family.

"Hush now. Everything is alright," Mr Bishop consoled Justin, parting his back softly.

Shortly after, Gomez requested to come in. They broke off their hug and Mr Bishop unlocked the door as Gomez came into the study.

"I hope I wasn't interrupting?" Gomez asked politely, noticing the two were probably having a moment.

"Mm," Mr Bishop grunted as he took his seat.

"I should head back to my room," Justin said looking at his father, as he thought it wise to give them some privacy.

"Not yet son," Mr Bishop said. "I think you should be fully involved in everything now, that's means you will always be here with me in the study whenever am here, and we will always be together at the office."

Justin looked at Gomez to see his reaction. Gomez shrugged, smiled at him softly.

"Alright," Justin said as he took his seat.

Mr Bishop handed him some document and requested him to go through them before the next morning.

"Has everything been set for tomorrow?" Mr Bishop asked Gomez.

"Yes sir. It's all set," Gomez responded.

"There will be no need for me to be stressing myself anymore, since you'll be stepping up, as I will be stepping down immediately."

"With respect to that, you will be introduced to the board members. Then the date for the official announcement will be fixed. It'll be a grand party. Get ready to be famous kiddo," Me Bishop smiled, with dreamy eyes.

Justin smiled softly, imagining everything.

"Gomez will put everything in order, and he will be there for you at anytime to guide you in the necessary area."

"Alright" Justin said.

"Your outfits for tomorrow is already in your room," Gomez said.

"That will be all for today. You can go get some rest," Mr Bishop said to Gomez.

"Alright sir," Gomez said as bowed and exited the study leaving Justin and his father in the study.

"Thank you sir, for entrusting the Cap Industries into my hands. I will do my best not to disappoint you," Justin assured.

"It's alright son. You can go get some rest and do not worry about how you will begin. I know you do just fine."

Justin nodded his head in agreement.

"Have a good night rest," Justin said as he bowed slightly and he exited the study heading to his room.

Justin got to his room, and broke down in tears, this could only be a tears of a mixed feelings.

"Is this real or am I dreaming?" Justin asked himself.

The life Justin had only ever dreamed of living was now right before him.

"So from tomorrow, I will be addressed as the CEO of Cap Industries? Man, I can't wait to see the look of Alex and Duke's faces," Justin scoffed.

Soon after, he heard a knock on his door.

"Come in."

Frank opened the door as he entered the room.

"Do you want anything before I go get some rest for the day?" he asked.

"Yeah. Just some wine," Justin said, sounding elated.

"Alright master Justin," Frank responded as he looked at Justin, wondering what was making him to be so.

Frank exited the room to go get him a drink. Shortly after, Frank returned to the room with the bottle of wine.

"Here is the wine master Justin," Frank said.

"Thank you," Justin said as he collected the bottle of wine and glass cup.

"That will be all for today," Justin said.

"Alright master Justin. If I may, you seem so happy tonight," Frank said.

"You must have had a good time with your father?"

"Sure," Justin replied.

Frank nodded his head in acknowledgement. "I will be retiring for today."

Frank exited the room, gently shutting the door.

Justin smiled and opened the bottle of wine and poured some in the glass cup, gulping it down.
