A middle-aged man was seated in the leading chair. He was Shu Haoran, Shu's father. Despite his looks, he possessed an intimidating aura that made him look imposing. He was also one of the great elders of the Splitting Heaven Sect, representing the Shu Family.

There were also a few other young men whom he didn't recognize and a few other girls who looked around his age. Apart from them, there were a few women and men who were most likely his uncle and aunt.

"Yu'er, you finally woke up... HAHAHA! I knew you wouldn't leave us, as expected of my son!" His father burst out laughing.

Seeing this, Shu felt a little bit relieved as his father adored him deeply. He thought that his father wouldn't care at all about him. Thinking about this, he no longer had anything to worry about.

"I'm sorry, Father. I made you worry."

“Hahaha, it’s alright my son… you have woken up that’s all that matters,” his father replied.

“Mmm…!” Shu Haoyu nodded without saying anything.

“Come! Sit here and have a toast of the meal, we have prepared a lot just for you!” His father gestured to the chair next to him.

The moment he sat down, he noticed from afar that there was someone who looked a few years older than him standing on a balcony under the bright moon while looking up at the sky filled with starlight.

“Ahh no, this is enough,” he quickly denied and started focusing on eating.

After eating, everyone greeted him and asked about his well-being.

“Haaaaa, this is more like an interview than a banquet,” he left a heavy sigh.

“That girl? Who is she?” he accidentally said it clearly.

“You curious? Don’t tell me you don’t even know how your fiancée looks like?” a voice suddenly could be heard from his back.

He turned and replied.

“M-my F-fiancée?” He said with a surprised expression on his face.

“Yes, she is your fiancée. Honestly, what did our father think huh? Letting you get engaged at such a young age and plus you didn’t even know what your fiancée looks like.”

“And you, the first thing you ever think of is another girl huh. What about me? Your sister is also a beautiful girl you know? Hmph!”

Standing in front of him was Shu Ningxi. His elder sister.

“Why would I be thinking of you? You’re just an idiot sister of mine,” he teased her.

Haoyu became confused.
