Thinking about the next step to take

Hati was currently resting and concentrating on refilling his spiritual energy while thinking about something that seemed very important for him.

'Would it work like that? I need to test it later.'

He then saw Yami walking towards him.

"Hati, I might have found a temporary solution for the problem of me being unable to move while using the black sphere."

"Hmmm? What kind of Idea?" Hati asked.

"I can't really explain it. I can try to show it though." Yami answered.

Yami then started creating the small black sphere after Hati gave him the ok.

The small black sphere formed itself until it was fully stable.

This time however, there wasn't a thin string binding the sphere with his arm.

"I don't know how to properly describe it...but it seems to be able to emerge out of shadows within a range of 50 meters. I mean that I can decide which shadow it will be as long as I can see it and it will emerge out of the shadow.

Also, after it emerges, it then automatically moves to the head of the being of the owner of the shadow. Even in case that it isn't a living being, it will move to its highest point and stop there.

I know I described it kinda weird, but that's also why I want you to see it. I already tested it on me and the rocks here and it worked like I described."

"You can test it on me if you want to make sure." Hati said and took a distance of roughly 50 meters.

Yami looked at Hati's shadow and the sphere disintegrated while floating in air.

It completely disintegrated and slowly appeared in Hati's shadow. Hati then saw it rushing to his head after coming out of his shadow.

The only thing he felt while it was in his shadow was darkness. He only felt like he was being watched.

This was also true to some extent since Yami could extend his senses with the sphere and see and hear things with the small sphere.

"It seems like it works. This should really be a good solution for now. He still needs to learn how to better control it though."

"Okay, it works. You can let it disappear or I will eat it. You decide" Hati spoke to Yami's mind directly which caused Yami to smile bitterly.

"I'll release it, please wait a second." Yami quickly said. He didn't want it to be eaten by Hati.

He heard Hati explain how he took control of the situation when his sphere was getting out of his control and thought something along the lines 'Truly worthy of having the ancient bloodline! He even has a stomach made of iron!'.

Hati looked at him after he released the sphere.

"You know, why are we fighting each room on each floor? We practically don't have anything to do here anyways..." Hati said, a bit curious about why he was still here.

His original objective was to find out about his surroundings and travel a bit. He was kind of forced to go into this 'dungeon' because there was no other place for him to stay at after he got lost and found this place after hours long of searching.

He already found out about the surroundings since he ate the Hobgoblins, Kiras and also Lechys.

Hati was currently eating the Minotaurs after he was done recuperating.

Yami was getting hungry too, so he ate parts of a few Human corpses that were in the stored in the food storage.

Hati tried to test his idea on the Minotaurs meat.

He activated his fire coated teeth and chewed a bit of the flesh off the corpse.

The piece of flesh got burned to ash and left a sour aftertaste in his throat.

He decided to try again, this time with less spiritual energy in his teeth.

He let the piece of meat in his mouth for a bit before gulping it down. While this way of eating was way slower than just eating it raw, it was much tastier!

He would definitely try this from time to time. He then decided to use his extended fire coated claws to cut the flesh apart from the corpse and eat it as is.

He needed a few tries until he got the hang out of it… But, all in all it could be said to be a huge success since he was now able to roast his food!

He slowly ate the corpses. One after another, he didn't seem to get satisfied even after eating all three Minotaurs! It was the exact opposite! He only seemed to get hungrier while roasting his food.

He suppressed his hunger and went to Yami.

"Are you also already done?" Hati asked.

"I was waiting for you to finish to be frank." Yami said.

"Hahaha, I don't want to talk too much about it to you since you knew them...But, it was very delicious! The meat was practically the best I've ever eaten! I need to let you try in the future too." Hati was really happy about gaining a companion he could trust.

"Now, what do you want to do? Go further inside and fight or go outside and explore the world?" Yami didn't really want to fight and kill everyone in this dungeon. Thus

"What do you want to do?" Hati answered with a question on his own.

"I, to be honest, don't want to kill in here anymore. I'd rather just go out and explore the world outside." Yami said with a honest look in his eyes.

"Hmmm, not much to do here anyway so why not? I also know what we can do for now!"

"What we can do for now? What would that be then?" Yami asked, a bit puzzled.

"Hehehe, we will go to the remains of the burned down forest where you once came from!" Hati chuckled while saying so.

"Huh? Why would we?" Yami asked him.

"Don't you want to find out if there are other survivors of the Lechy village? I also honestly want to visit it and see it with my own eyes." Hati said with a very serious look in his eyes.

"I do want to find out if there are any other survivors, even if not of the Kira village. I want to ascertain your claim of the Lechys being the cause of this 'war'."

"Okay then, it's settled! But I want to know how long the journey would take to the remains with your current speed? I'd be faster so I'll adapt to you for now." Hati asked.

"I think about ten hours without any breaks should be enough to get there with my current speed and stamina…" Yami said.

He was a bit embarrassed for the small journey to take so long because of his insufficient stamina.

'Well, I just need to take it slow then.' Hati thought.

He estimated that he would only need about four to five hours at most when going at his highest speed.

We will need to eat until our stomach is packed full though. I don't want to get hungry while walking there.

"Let's eat as much food from the food storage as we can before leaving." Yami suggested.

"Are there any corpses of my kin?" Hati asked with a very cold voice.

He took matters that concerned his race very seriously. Heck, he may even decide to kill everyone in the entire dungeon apart from Yami and himself out of sheer rage. He simply didn't want his kin mistreated.

"Don't worry, there aren't any Wolf corpses." Yami said while heaving a sigh.

'I thank God that there weren't any Wolf corpses in there. Who knows what he might have done this time.' Yami thought while being relieved.

"Then that's good." Hati calmed down and quickly went back to his cheerful attitude.

They ate about everything that was there with Hati eating more than 3/4 while Yami only ate 1/4. It wasn't that Yami didn't want to eat more, it was that he simply couldn't. Yami couldn't eat nearly as much as Hati could.

Hati's stomach seemed to be a black hole to be able to stuff that much meat into it without his stomach getting bigger.

Hati used his fire coated claws and teeth to eat the meat which made it so tasty that he was able to eat those 3/4 of the food storage.

"Hahaha, sorry, I ate the most. Do you want me to get some food for you?" Hati asked Yami since he felt a bit guilty for eating more than 3/4 of the food here.

"Nonono, I am already fully packed and can't eat anymore." Yami responded to Hati's question by answering as fast as he could.

"Okay, let's go then." Hati said, satisfied.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somewhere very far away from Hati and Yami.

"Well, did you find 'it' again?" A very old voice asked.

"No, I couldn't find 'it'. But I do have a clue on where 'it' might be right now." A females voice sounded out.

"Then go there and see if 'it' is there. I need you to find 'it' as soon as possible." The old voice said with a bit of longing.

'I truly want to see what 'it' will do once he grows. Will 'it' do what they wished 'it' to do? Or will 'it' have 'its' own consciousness and decide for itself? I truly wonder.' The old voice seemed deep in thought and the female disappeared to let her master think while she'd be completing her task.

I really hate to say this but my current shedule won't allow me to write one chapter everyday. I will thus release one chapter every Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun.

Hati also only got the ability to roast his meat thanks to Unk0wnzz and Jackie22 that kinda commented it. Hati also kinda wants to eat power stones...

I hope you had fun reading.
