Agility, Strength and Cunning teamwork. Those traits make up a Wolf, but, what if there was a Wolf that had more? What if it could see things others did not? What if it could understand the forgotten? What if it had an ever growing intelligence that would aid it many a times in the future? Wolves are Leaders. Wolves are the rulers of the Forest. Wolves are Cunning. Created by Ancients, defying fate, fighting if he so desires, watch him fight and rise! Hati looked at the Kira with a very serious look.

He told him per telepathy.

"Well, first of all, I am sorry for killing and eating your kin like before. I just wanted to say that since I also got mad when I saw my kins abused corpses."

The Kira was surprised about Hati's words.

Hati continued.

"As I told you before, I will need you to undertake an Blood Oath to be my subordinate. Don't take it personal, but, you just betrayed your friends after all. I need some assurance."

The Kira nodded. It understood what Kira meant.

It would be utter foolishness to trust someone that just helped kill his old friends to survive.

Thus, the Blood Oath.

The Blood Oath was something used for making contracts of any kind. Ranging from Marriage, a Fight to the Death, becoming a slave all such things can be used with the Blood Oath.

The first step to create a Blood Oath is done by slitting some part of the body open to let a bit Blood ooze out. After a certain amount oozed out, the one contracting and the one accepting the contract mix their blood together and and the one creating the contract states the conditions for the Oath to be created.

The one accepting the contract thus accepts and becomes bound by the Blood Oath. Once an Blood Oath is broken, the one breaking it will immediately lose half his or her life force or in serious cases even die.

"I will state my conditions first and you tell me whether you'll be able to agree to them or not."

"Fine."

"Good. First is to be my loyal subordinate and to never, and I mean never, betray me in any kind of form, such as giving information about us out, attacking me, or doing something that you're not supposed to do like running away without permission.

Second is to train to get stronger since you're rather weak right now and wouldn't be of too much use if you were to stay like that.

Thirdly and also lastly, you must be dedicated in doing your jobs since I will give you more jobs with time that will also only get more important."

"Hmmmm… I agree." The Kira wasn't sure, but it thought that Hati may not be so bad if he got along with him in the future.

Although the Kira was still a bit saddened by his kins death, he'd get over it given enough time.

"Now then, let's do the Blood Oath."

"Alright."

They slashed their paw and hand respectively and let it ooze onto the ground. After it was enough to form a small puddle, the Kira took two handful of the mixed blood and drank it.

Hati said his conditions again while the Kira drank the blood.

"...I agree to the conditions." The Kira said, still a bit scared of Hati abusing him.

The Kira felt something amazing enter its body. It was hot yet cold.

It wasn't just the Power of the Blood Oath binding him to his contract. It was something else.

It felt its body getting lighter and some impurities got pushed out of his body. The Kira felt the need to kneel to Hati since it got to know a bit about him.

It found out that Hati's bloodline was ancient. More than just ancient though.

It was from the time where the world was in its building phase. There weren't many that would have a bloodline from that age and time since nearly all of them are already extinct.

It knew the bloodlines ancient roots because it could feel it out of the blood. An ancient bloodline always had an commanding and ruling power to it that the others didn't.

Even Deities are only of the same strength in regard to that.

However, the Kira couldn't make out what kind of bloodline it was since it knew not much about the ancient times aside from what it was told from its dead ancestors.

The Kira also felt his bloodlines purity increase, thus increasing his potential and reducing the chances of growing weaker with time.

Most bloodlines got impure due to beasts mating with other races and the original bloodlines thinning out as an result.

It wasn't like they would only get weaker in every case though. There also were cases where the beasts grew stronger instead of weaker with mixed bloodlines. Those were very rare though.

"I nearly forgot, but, do you have a name?" Asked Hati. He truly nearly forgot this.

"I don't have one as much as I remember..."

The Kira said with respect. It was astonished to have found one of the ancient bloodlines. He was curious why Hati was here and what he was planning on doing here.

He already nearly forgot about Hati killing his friends and kin out of sheer reverence.

"What do you think about Yami then? It means 'Darkness' which fits your element."

"It does seem to fit me…" The Kira said, a bit puzzled. 'From which language is that name? It sounds weird…'

"Okay then! Yami it is!"

"Your first job will be to show me what you can do."

"Okay."

Yami then started to show his abilities. He Disappeared into his shadow, created an shadow that could separate from him and fuse with the shadow of another being to track its position while still being far away, see in the dark like it was day time, and also create a small black sphere which could make one unable to see, hear or smell anything if said one touched the black sphere.

Yami got the last ability after his bloodline got cleansed of a few impurities.

Yami was beaming with happiness. None of his kin ever had this ability. Besides, it seemed like this small black sphere could grow if he got stronger and added more spiritual energy into it.

Hati then looked at the corpses.

'I need to test him at least once.'

"I will eat the corpses now. Do not disturb me while I'm at it. You can look away while your kin is eaten though."

Hati said and walked towards the corpses.

'Sigh.' Yami sighed. It was a sigh of relief to get the chance to grow stronger and sadness because his kin got killed and eaten by the one allowing him to grow stronger.

Yami turned around and continued sighing.

Hati saw that and turned his attention towards the corpses. 'I will eat them fast, no need to drag it out now.'

He quickly ate all the intact corpses.

The Kiras and the Lechys. The wood was eaten along with the lifeless core.

'It was a bit crunchy.' Hati thought. He didn't know that wood normally wouldn't be eaten.

Especially the wood of Lechys since it was strengthened by their constant pumping of spiritual energy into the wood to move it.

Their wood was usually used for making weapons to train such as wooden swords, rods, even shields and the like.

Hati's body grew stronger again and he himself grew a few centimeters.

He was as big as a full grown Wolf now. Not even the tiniest part of him would make out that he was but a few weeks old.

He also gained the memories of the corpses. The Lechys forest was burned down by Humans. That was the reason they went into this dungeon.

As for the Kiras, they were born in the forest with the Lechys. They were once not only six but twenty. There was one time when they were attacked by a very large group of Humans. Most of the Kiras were still childs and thus only six survived after the incoming attack.

The happenings were very gruesome to look at.

They were massacred while the few childs ran away to this place. After days full of running and fleeing with nearly no food, they came to this place.

Yami was the calmest of them all and was thus appointed their leader.

The Lechys joined the dungeon a few days after them since the Humans didn't stop at their Massacre, they started burning the forest down too.

These beasts were very infuriated as a result and swore revenge on Humanity as a result.

Hati also saw a few other things apart from those memories.

They started hunting Humans in nearby areas if there were any and started eating them.

Hati got to know more of the nearby areas and made a map in his mind. This rough map would get very important once he'd go out of this dungeon.

He didn't want to wander around with no plan in mind and accidentally run in circles while getting hungry…

He then turned to Yami and spoke to his mind.

"I'm done with eating."

Yami saw nearly nothing of his old friends and family left.

'Sigh!' He continued sighing, still conflicted by his emotions.

"I want you to tell me everything about you and your old group." Yami heard Hati say in his mind.

"How did you find this dungeon? What happened to have made your two groups start living here? Why did you not go out? What is the reason for you and the Lechys to have continued being here even though you wanted revenge? Tell me."

Yami was baffled by the amount of questions he got asked.

'Hmmm? Wait a second. Why does he know about us having wanted to get revenge? Is it a coincidence? Or did he do something again?'

He was quite curious about that.

"I.. ummm..Okay, I will tell you all I know."

Hati could confirm whether the key points would be truthful or not. However, Yami knew more things since he was already the leader of the Kiras at that time. He knew more than the others did.

Thus, Hati wanted to hear his story and and confirm Yamis sincerity a bit.

Don't blame me for posting the chap a bit later than usual. I had a serious headache and writers block.

Also, since I have a bad naming sense, I just asked around and 'RenYianYou' gave me the name 'Yami' for the old Kira leader. Thank you again, bro.
