Chapter 54: Kushina and Kurama

The Nine-Tails didn't forget its promise and calmly explained the situation to Asahi.

Asahi expressed understanding, believing that with Kushina's cooperation, she could master the Nine-Tails' power in less than two years.

"This little brat, Kushina, is lucky to be valued by you," the Nine-Tails remarked, glancing at the still-sleeping Kushina.

Asahi didn't argue; he did give Kushina a chance to change her fate, and she was worth it.

"Believe me, when you wholeheartedly accept Kushina, you will slowly be changed by her."

Asahi looked deeply at the Nine-Tails; after all, Tailed Beasts were lonely, and Jinchuriki were no different. 

When an important light appears in one's life, be it a human or a Tailed Beast, they would do their utmost to protect it.

With Kushina's personality, Asahi believed she could warm the Nine-Tails' lonely heart.

This time, the Nine-Tails didn't argue but fell into silence.

Gazing deeply at Kushina, the Nine-Tails suddenly smiled.

"Change me? After what you said, I'm quite looking forward to it."

Swift and decisive, living up to the name of Blood-Red Chili Pepper.

Freed from the chain restraints, the Kurama instantly dropped to the ground, producing a thunderous roar.

With the sudden ability to move, the Kurama sat on the ground, twisted its neck, and then extended its massive head in front of Kushina.

The colossal body made Kushina appear exceptionally tiny in front of it, with her whole person just about the size of its eyes.

Looking at the Kurama up close, Kushina felt an indescribable sense of malevolence in its gaze.

Even Kushina could sense the heavy breathing of the Kurama, and a drop of cold sweat involuntarily fell from her forehead.

For a moment, Kushina almost couldn't help but want to take control of the Kurama. But she held back; she couldn't afford to show weakness.

Kushina breathed a sigh of relief. Honestly, she was quite nervous just now.
