'what I'm I doing with my life? I can't be going around acting without thinking like that.' Sora thought while blankly looking at the sky, before taking a deep breath, after which he opened his mouth to sleep, but a hand covered his mouth.

"I didn't expect you to be so... Weak." She said softly while standing up, allowing her body to be seen in its full glory. Merlin was over 90 years old, yet she looked as if she was in her late 20s. She was a beautiful woman with long white hair and beautiful blue eyes.

She could easily be ranked as the most beautiful woman on Earth's land, with beings like the demon lord being her only rival. Sora was enchanted by her beauty for a moment before he snapped out of it with her words. To which, Merlin smiled slightly

"I always saw you as this free guy, sure you had trouble with the past, but you never allowed it to slow you down... Yet, now you letting a miss understanding from your past life stop you from living. What can I call you but weak... Or does coward best suit you?" She said softly, making Sora's eyes turn cold as he stood up

"To think I thought I fell in love with you, but a man so fearful of a fight, and run away from the truth of the matter... He isn't worthy. The fact I lost my first time with you... Another disappointment." She said before disappearing, leaving Sora standing there, not following.

{She is right,} the system said in a soft voice, to which Sora turned to face the river before him, before letting out a deep sight.

'I know...' Sora thought while looking at the water, in his past life there was an anime called one piece he watched. There the MC of that anime gained a form called Gear 5, a point where he is so free he breaks free from the laws of the universe, giving him pretty much toon force. Like those cartoons,

Sora wanted to be free of his past, but that was pretty much impossible. How could be ever gain inner peace...

Sora looked at the river for some time before disappearing, appearing near a water wall, around the waterfall was the beauty of nature shown at its fullest. Sora looked at it for some time, before sitting down and entering his mind to fight his trauma

"..." a little kid with dark soon froze as he found himself in a basement. Sora's body shook feeling the chain around his leg, his body shook even more when he noticed his body condition.

The door to the basement slowly opened, and from upstairs, someone slowly came downstairs, their footsteps sending blow after blow to his heart.

"... dad!" Sora's pupils shrink in horror while looking at the burnt skin of a man, walking towards him hatred burning in his eyes. With a shaking his, this man pointed at Sora

"you did this to me... To us!." He roared at Sora, as other people came downstairs. Sora quickly tried to use his magic to cool his head, yet he quickly found that he had no magic. Sora backed away from them, as they all took burning hot rods while nearing him.

't-this is all in my head, they are just my trauma...' Sora thought while taking deep breaths before his eyes landed on his mother and twin brother from his past life.

"I have no regrets about killing you two, I simply gave back to you everything you gave me. I would have given you two a worse death if I had magic." Sora said calmly, that's right, I killed my whole family.

My father was an accident, one which pushed me to make many mistakes I will regret for years to come... But I turned for the better, so I burned away my past, along with the house I was forced to live in the basement off

I forced my twin brother and Mother down there, they were lucky as I wasn't trying to relive the past, or else I would have reminded them how I got every scar. I simply set the only place on fire and made sure they faced the heat of the flames before being burned.

Like the Phoenix, the old Sora died along with them, and a new Sora was raised from the ashes. Took steps to change his life, fell in love, and become the best version of himself. Even so, the weight of his past remained, Sora want to ignore it of course, but that was an act of the weak.

Of course, I don't feel anything from killing my mother or brother. The only reason they were here was because of his father, would he hate him for this? A thought he ignored for years...

Facing my father right now, it was hard to keep a clear mind. But after a few breaths, my mind cleared up slightly to understand that this was not my dad, just my trauma. I was at war right now with his trauma,

So I began thinking of ways to deal with this, from the anime I watched, I knew that trying to fight this with power was useless, I have to face it, and find it within me to forgive myself.

Sora was capable of enduring pain, far more sure than others. But this... It felt like he was an average person taking this rod.

"you forgave me... But I could never stop hating myself for what I did. But why? After so many years, what's stopping me from going beyond this trauma?" Sora said through deep breaths.

"now that I think of it... My mother and brother beat it into me. How can I ever get over such a thing when all I did was grow up hearing I'm a monster? Again, it's you two." Sora said as his eyes landed on his mother and brother

"Your impact on my life was huge... It would be hard for me to move on." Sora said softly while looking at the two transformings. Taking the forms of demons which hunted his dreams when he was a kid, this was how he looked at these two growing up.

He now knew the root of his trauma, and he was unwilling to accept what he had to do... So as they torture him, his body shook, but his eyes had an unwillingness to them.

"... I forgive you," Sora said with a soft sigh, his heart becoming clear and calm like the ocean. The two demons stopped in their actions, looking at Sora in shock

"But It doesn't mean I like you two or anything. I will meet in the middle, a balance between hatred and love. Freedom from your impact on me." Sora said softly as the two of them began to disappear, breaking apart

Sora sat with cross legs, his mind space breaking apart. Around him, his mind became... Blank. A blank paper. At this moment, Sora was free. Free of hatred, free of love. This was a unique state of being, where Sora felt like anything he wished to understand, he could easily gain said knowledge of

But this state came and left in a matter of seconds, Sora opened his eyes and found himself back in reality.

Without using energy, Sora lightly moved his hand, causing the water to flow along his finger. With how slow he was moving, the water should have flowed through his fingers, yet the water seemed like a solid.

The water was held in his palm for some time, before it acted like water, flowing down his hand and back into the water. This wasn't magic, this was inner peace, allowing him to be in tune with the world around him to such a deeper level.

'I'm more worthy of being the embodiment of war now.' Sora thought calmly,

So, Sora sat down and began to meditate. By doing this, he can slowly level up this ability. It would be slow, but worth it. For now, Sora was at level 1. And already, he had inner peace, which came with a great boost to his stats. if the system graded abilities by their reality or their overall capability, then this ability would be of the highest rarity,

Just this alone allowed Sora to be in a state where he tune in with the world around him, and sense the world's rhythm, its waves, ripples, and patterns. this had many benefits, like instantly giving Sora height control over his body, allowing him to go longer without the need for food or water. this gave him better control of both his body and mind and more things

best of all, this gave him greater control over his energy, allowing him to have near-perfect energy control, infinitely close to perfections, and be still infinitely far. at which Sora Stats gained a huge job. Sora without the need for telepathy can just will his energy to do anything he wants, giving him almost any and all techniques he could think of.

Sora stats gained a 10,000-times boost. Sora meditate, forcing not only on himself but the world around him. it's then Sora found that he had been meditating for 4 years, meaning the war has been going on for 5 years now.

many things happened during this time, for one, thanks to Ankhseram, many gods stepped forward to help the humans. but for beings of other dimensions to appear within other dimensions, special conditions were needed.

So, either the gods were summoned, or they gave their magic to humans, which took the form of God Slayer's magic. Magic allowed those few choices to be able to kill the gods but also gave them the power to slaughter the likes of the demons.

God Slayer Magic took form in many ways, Fire God Slayer Magic, Water God Slayer Magic, and so on. Fire God Slayers can devour other flames, strengthen them, restore lost energy, and so on. this made them immune to their elements as they eat them,

Ellen and many others gained such power, but they didn't stop there. Thanks to Merlin, they were able to break the demon lord's donations on the demons, allowing a few demons to turn their blades to the demon lord, and at the same time give their magic to humans, birth Devil Slayer Magic.

Things were not looking good for the demon lord, and she was slowly being pushed back. but this didn't end there, in the end, they were humans taking on powers of other races, and their bodies were affected in some way shape, or form.

Many saw that those with God Slayer Magic slowly became what was called a fallen god, a lifeform that went berserk seeking destruction, and those with Devil Slayer Magic also turned into demons.

this was the current state things were in, the side against the demon lord army was in a state of unease. One of the strongest forces they had on their side was now turning against them, and many of their allies had fallen to such things, and the demon lord was taking full advantage of such things.

the thing about those who used Slayer magic is its effect of turning one into a monster took effect when one emotion was uncontrolled. and in battles that lasted years, it was of course a place where they easily lost control, but things were only getting worse for the human side

"I finally did it." within the demon lord camp, the demon lord smiled slightly while looking at her palm. with 5 years of war, the human side had only grown stronger, those like Ellen gained the powers of the gods, increasing their power to greater heights. but Ellen took this to a new state, fusing both devil and God Slayer magic with her enchanting magic, allowing her alone to rival the demon lord, and with the other's support, the demon lord had no choice but to be on full retreat

for the past 5 years, she had of course grown stronger, growing stronger from slaughtering dragons or humans, using only her hands, she bathed in the blood of countless people, and it was enjoyable.

But she had to keep her strength in check, making sure she didn't show that she was growing stronger, and waiting for a key moment to strike and kill the hero. now, her energy control had taken a step closer to 100%

She had near perfection energy control, but there were levels to this, giving a person an increase of strength anywhere from 1,000 times to a million times. her power to dominate only allowed her to instantly gain that 1,000 times boost to her stats, now she could gain a 99,999 times boost to her stats

She was not like Sora, and their systems were different. Sora had fewer stats than her but had more abilities that could boost his strength. She had more stats than Sora but had no ability which could boost her stats, and in return had {Dominations}

adding the fact her stats can now be increased by 99,999 times, her stats could now reach the billions, making her amongst the strongest in the universe. So, she waited for the upcoming battle, where the hero's party along with an army came to face her for the final battle.

after this battle, either she is defeated and forced to retreat, or she dies. it was clear to many in the past few battles that she was no match for the whole heroe party, so what could she do now other than fall back to the demon realm?

So, Ellen and the others arrived, and their battle began. like always, Linda, Merlin, Ellen, and Abel faced off against the demon lord, while the army faced off against the demon lord army. so, their clash happened, taking place within a barrier created by Merlin.

their shock wave seemed as if they would destroy the barrier, causing the army below to feel uneasy, and the dragons fighting in the area to avoid that place. but the barrier suddenly shattered, causing everyone to look up to find the demon lord holding an arm

Abel let out a scream as he was missing an army, behind him, Ellen's eyes widened as the sword created by the gods was shattered, and the demon lord's hand pierced through her chest.

Everyone looked around to find Merlin, and they found her in a mountain far away, both of her arms and legs missing. Linda, had many of her celestial spirits destroyed, with a few 12 remaining. The air went quiet, with the demon lord slowly pulling her arm out of Ellen's chest to like the blood on her hands.

"You're surprised? did you think all these years it was just your group growing stronger?" She asked with a huge smile, leaving Ellen's face pale. she wanted to stay in the air to fight, but after coughing up a mouth full of blood, before she came rocketing down to the ground,

Linda shot over to help Ellen, but her neck suddenly found itself in the hands of the demon lord, the air the quiet. Ellen was not weak, they were all not weak. but they were all caught off guard, if they knew of her might and were not caught off guard, then they could have at least put up a fight, but they were not given that chance.

the demon lord smirked while looking at Linda, before looking down at Ellen, wanting to see this woman breathe her last. but she froze seeing Ellen landing in the arms of someone. her face darkened seeing Sora, catching Ellen and even healing her.

"You said you would stay out of this." She said coldly, causing everyone's eyes to land on Sora, leaving them shocked and confused as Sora was a human.

"I did... but she is my twin sister. and a ghost would hunt me if I let her little sister die." Sora said as Lisa formed beside him, tearfully looking at her little sister in the arms of the demon lord.

"So you want to get in my way?" She asked coldly, to which Sora shook his head,

"1,000 years. you stepped back and wait for 1,000 years. use that time to rebuild your army, and build get stronger. In return, you get 3 favors from me." Sora said calmly, making the demon lord's eyebrow raise

"Anything? Or is it going to be like now, with you going back on your words?" She asked to which Sora shook her head

"not anything, there are a few things I will not do. I will not do something that would conflict with myself. that along with a few other things." Sora said calmly, making the demon lord's eyes narrow slightly before her aura filled the air, slamming down upon Sora.

Sora spilled out, and the two auras slammed against each other, causing the space and time around everyone to start shattering. everyone was horrified seeing such a sight, such power, was like nothing they have ever seen before, forcing everyone to start fleeing as if they were running for their lives.

'he is weaker, but again, his martial arts capability instincts, and so on. I would lose,' She thought while pulling back her aura, before throwing Linda towards Sora, who caught her.

"I will take you on your offer. in 1,000 years, you shall help me invade this world along with all its life forms. Haha, those 2 other favors I shall take. so you humans sit back and wait, one of your kind would be your downfall." She laughed, her voice being heard by every human

"as for you demons which betrayed me... if I don't see you in the demon realms in the next minute, I will give you all the most painful death imaginable." She said with a cold smile, before turning around, and leaving with her army.

those demons which betrayed her shook in fear, many of them knew she could do as she said, as any magic she wants can be willed into reality. many of them fearfully returned to the demon realm,

Sora ignored all of this, as Merlin floated over to him. her arms and legs regrowing, he put Ellen down who was too stunned to say anything. out of anyone who would have saved her, she didn't expect Sora to be the one to save her.

once Sora placed her down, she suddenly jumped into Sora's arms, her armor slamming hard into Sora.

"it has been so long since I saw you. I was so happy when I found out we are siblings, but you never came to see me again. I was sad." She said softly, to which Sora ignored and simply looked at Merlin who was looking at him in shock, as she could feel the growth Sora went through, but she couldn't say anything right now.

"... in 1,000 years, you would all be gone. so enjoy the time I gave you." Sora said calmly, stunning Ellen and the others, all but Merlin who already knew Sora was not lying when he gave those 3 favors.

"You would help her?" Ellen asked in shock, to which Sora nodded slightly, before getting her off him and turning around. with a step, he disappeared, leaving the group standing there in shock.

Lisa who was hugging her little sister in relief, was forced to say goodbye as she couldn't be too far from Sora. so she disappeared, following Sora who appeared in a beautiful force, but as Sora made a house using the nature around him, Merlin appeared

"you plan to spend your 1,000 years here?" She asked softly, to which Sora nodded slightly. the air went quiet for some time, forcing Lisa to disappear once more as things were too award around these two.

"My words were a bit harsh last time... I tried looking for you to apologize, but like always, you were hard to find." She said softly, to which Sora shook his head.

"what you said was true, I was a crowd and a weakling," Sora said softly, Merlin went quiet for a moment, and after some hesitation, she spoke.

"... I want to give us a chance, although what we did last time was in the moment. I don't care about you the helping the demon lord part, by now it's hard not to believe your words after seeing both of your strengths" Merlin said stunning Sora for a moment, but he nodded in the end, he too wanted to give this a chance...
