Chapter 7: Acquaintance Party I

The very next day, Sophia felt rather energized. She sneakily got herself a sleeping pill last night while she was at her Mom's room.

"Sophia baby, I'll be there before you know it~" Kylie is very excited for the event later.

"Alright Aunt, Just let me wear a comfortable footwear please"

"Of course! You're so going to love it."

After their breakfast, she headed to school with all sorts of decorations. She instructed her uncle Danny to drop her in front of her building. That way, it'd be easier for her to unload her stuffs. She was surprised to see that the number of students that arrived early today tripled. Xin and their other classmates carried the things Sophia brought. Alden was also inside the classroom when she arrived. He only glanced at her and get back to napping.

"Sophia! You look extra beautiful today!" Xin exclaimed. Sophia smiled at Xin and sent her a warning look. Xin got used to her though. Since Kylie is there, Sophia can only give in to her nagging and let Kylie doll her up. Luckily, Kylie did not overdo things and she still looks like a simple student. Then, there is also Kexin that never fails to praise her everyday.

After the decorations were unloaded, Sophia instructed Xin to call the Class Presidents of the whole Grade 7. Though its only been a month, Sophia gained their trust and loyalty. She lost her position as the treasurer of the class because the Student Union Officers can not be part of any other organization or take on other officership.

At exactly 10 AM, the class ended. The two hours will be given to them to prepare their classroom. When the clock hit 12:00, Alden and Sophia headed to the Student Union Office. Lunch was prepared for them the moment they enter. Drake, Damien, Alexa, Brandon, and Rex are already there. Louis arrived alongside them.

Sophia was rather in a good mood. She enjoyed her lunch that she haven't even noticed that four pairs of eyes were silently observing her. Alden and Sophia only eat inside the classroom, So it can be said, he got used to eating with her. But he felt like today she is livelier. Most of their days, Sophia looked really bored while she eats lunch. As for Drake, he can't help but smile while he's observing her. He remembered asking Nam what Sophia's favorite food is. Her answer is simple, Crispy Chicken from her favorite fast food restaurant. She even told him her obsession to chili-garlic sauce. As for the other two people, they are Damien and Alexa. Drake personally buy their lunch and Damien went along with him to help him carry the take outs. Drake even gave special instruction for one of the orders. He was even more shocked that his cousin ordered an extra Chili-garlic sauce and a fried siomai. His cousin is a clean freak for goodness sake! Love does change people. Alexa wasn't much concern of Sophia but rather the behavior of the three block face that kept staring at her. Not until Sophia came that they started to display emotion. He have only seen the President when Sophia entered. She was also the first girl the cold Drake have taken a liking on. As for Damien, he looks rather complicated. Alexa can only sigh not even knowing how to react.

The principal can't help but feel amused. Her three little devils have changed ever since the princess came. Alden who hates showing up, showed up and more efficiently lead the group. Drake who shoulders everything for the Union also learned how to give others a chance. As for Damien who only knows how to give her troubles back then started to effectively lead his batch and stopped relying on Drake. The three gave her a hard time the very moment she appointed them. Alden wanted to use Wolf to cover up his identity. Drake wanted a separate building for the Student Union outside the school campus. While Damien wanted a music and a dance studio on the second floor of the Student Union building. Considering that the school can't recklessly request for a new building to be made, Drake pulled some strings and his father financed the construction. Wolf and Damien also got their big man to handle the purchase of equipments needed. Also, it have become an exclusive building only for the Student Union Officers and Adviser. The meeting room is equipped with all the high end technology. Even the very table and chairs used are imported from other countries. But what's even crazier is though it was officially the Student Union Office it is not part of the school nor owned by the school. It was named after Drake. The students that studies in Panglao High doesn't only come from poor to average families but even big shots like them. The school is even better than the private school's there. Also, their families wanted them to gain experience and understanding of the lives of others. Drake and Damien were homeschooled. As for Alden, he insisted on studying in public schools ever since elementary but he was also tutored at home. He won every single contest then. When he was in sixth Grade, the former President of the Student Union, Walter Craig, appointed him to be the next president. His condition is simple, that is to keep his identity unknown. As for Sophia, her background is rather simple but the number of schools she transferred to in a span of six years isn't. Based on the rules, she should be placed in a regular class for observation. But upon checking on her previous school records, she was rather an excellent student. Since the teacher can't allow such talent to be amongst the average ones, they requested permission from the principal and place her in Section A. Surprisingly, her IQ was above others and only a point less than Alden. The reason why Alden did not show up in the first day is this. The result of the pretest isn't important but it is the unknown key to become part of the Student Union.

As everyone else were preparing, the officers were having a final meeting while wearing their uniforms and armlets. They have one simple goal- Perfection. As passive as their President looks, he was the one that finalized everything Drake prepared.

Inside the campus, students have dressed up diversely. As some were too formal, others were too extravagant. But the Grade 7 stood out even more. Their theme is trendy and it holds double meaning. They can choose to wear trendy styles, or they can wear something new and make it a trend. Amongst the busy students is Nam. Nam was chosen to be the Grade Level Queen Representative. She was unaware of who the King is. Her classmates/ best friends have helped her up. She have actually prepared two dresses for today. One is a white Chiffon long-back off-shoulder dress while the other one is a champagne off shoulder ruffled Midi Dress. But after she took out the two dresses she prepared, she noticed another box is inside. With a brand name owned by Kylie, their aunt that loves Sophia very much. When Kylie arrived from Cebu, she brought along 4 boxes for Sophia. She also gave Nam a new pair of heels that she added designs on which she will be wearing today. Nam picked up the box and opened it. She was flabbergasted when she saw the words "To my dearest Sophia" imprinted inside the box. She remembered Sophia just leaning on the couch reading a novel while she was having a headache picking out what dress she will wear.

"Ugh! Hey Sophie, mind helping me choose?"

"Those dresses were made for me. I like all of them" Sophie answered boringly.

"But you don't wear them." I can't help but snort. This girl is so lucky. Everything in her closet were all custom made for her and only one in this world. It's so hard to choose not because I don't like them but because they are equally beautiful. Also, I'm afraid that I will degrade its elegance and Aunt Kylie will notice it.

"I will wear them in the right occasion. They are too eye-catching, aren't they? Aunt Kylie will be heartbroken if she sees me wearing it casually." When she said the last sentence, I swallowed all my complaints. All her dresses were embroidered with Sophia Luna in hidden parts. Not just the dresses, but also the jeans, shirts, blouses, bags, and even shoes given to her by Aunt Kylie. Instead of embroidering "Kylie" as the brand name, it's her name instead.

Nam had been staring at the box and after minutes of uneasiness, she picked up the dress. The moment she unfolded it, a letter dropped with a single sentence.

"This will pair perfectly pair with your heels" Nam really felt like crying. She have seen how this dress looks. Kylie have let them see the designs from the three out four boxes that she brought. The one with the biggest box wasn't shown to them. She thought maybe, inside the box were Sophia's accessories and shoes. Nam went to the dressing area to change. The dress looks breathtaking. It is like a champagne color fairy dress with glitters and accents. It's also off shoulders and close fitting. The cut accented Nam's hourglass body and she looks rather seductive yet formal. She's jaw dropping gorgeous. When she came out, the room fell silent. When she realize their gazes she confidently smiled and spoke.

"Everyone please don't praise me too much, Also, this dress is my dear cousin, Sophia's dress which she have let me borrow." After she spoke, everyone clapped and started praising her. When the other sections heard their loud screaming and praises, they walked over and left confidently. They are confident enough to win the Queen of the Night award with Nam. Nam felt rather shy. The dress have Sophia's name sewn in the lace near the shoulder. But if one would't look clearly, it's rather unnoticeable.
