CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE ~Alina

Chanel is on the ground with Rémy in her hands just staring into space. That seems weird. I thought we were all walking together a second ago. No, most importantly, why is Rémy on the ground? Siobhan and the new girl both have grim looks on their faces.

"What's wrong, Chanel? Why are you guys on the ground?" I ask Chanel.

She looks up at me, staring into my eyes without uttering a word. She just looks at me strangely. As I'm about to squat down to touch Rémy, an ambulance drives hurriedly into the arena, the emergency medical technicians rush down, running towards us with their stretcher in hand. They carry Rémy, place him on the stretcher, and rush back to the ambulance. Everything seems like a movie to me, everyone is acting so busy, everything is happening too fast, and there's barely time for me to grasp what is happening.
