CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR ~Chanel

"Chanel, you have to get up. People cannot unfreeze and meet you in the position you were not." Shiv tells me. How do I get up when my brother lay on the ground lifeless? Just how? I do not care about anything, I do not care if people find out we are witches, I just want Rémy to wake up.

"What do we do?" I hear Shiv ask Tobi.

"Get her to call her parents while I freeze time again. Then I will use the whisper of lies on everyone to make them believe what we want them to believe happened. So, when I unfreeze time, no one will be suspicious."

"Okay. Good idea." Then she turns to me, "You have to call your mom, Nel. She needs to know and tell us what to do about the body."

Shiv is right. I need to inform my mom. She helps me dial my mom's number on her phone because I don't even know where my phone is at the moment. She holds the phone up for me and puts it on speaker. My mom picks on the second ring.

"Hello, Siobhan. Are you guys okay? Something is wrong, isn't it? I sensed it."
