Eredeti looked at Xander full of confidence and said "I will comply with your quality check of course, however you shouldn't underestimate someone you just met" Eredeti said. Xander scoffed, looked towards Alex and said "Your friend here really is cocky isn't he". Alex could barely look him in the eye and let out a slight laugh "hahaha" Xander's eyes returned back to Eredeti "Well if you really think your that good shall we go ahead and see first". "Of course!' Eredeti replied, Xander walked out from behind the counter and led the way and signaled Eredeti to follow however Alex stayed. Once Eredeti followed him he was led down another dark hallway and he couldn't help but think 'do these guys really work for the kingdom if so it seems rather suspicious with all of this darkness and secretiveness'. As the pair kept walking down the hallway taking a few turns they arrived at a large stone wall with a wooden and metal door looking almost like a gate it was nearly 10 meters tall and 5 meters wide with numerous archers and some swordsman guarding it, as Eredeti could finally see the large wall and let out a surprised gasp. "Why do you even have such a large gate in this underground tunnel? It looks like your defending a fortress!" Eredeti said "Well you could say we are defending from something but not from the outside but from the inside of the gate!" Xander said with a slight grin.
"What would warrant such attention as to seal it with a giant wall!" Eredeti asked "You'll see when we enter!" Xander said as he led Eredeti up to the gate he looked at one of the swordsman on the wall and shouted "Open it up!". Once the guards heard this 2 of them instantly ran over to the winches and started to slowly lift up the gate, out of curiosity Eredeti asked "wouldn't you normally use some type of an portcullis for a gate? Why would you go through all this unnecessary materials to make a gate that is rather weak?" Xander looked at him and let out a small laugh. "Hahahah good question young man however your observation is wrong, if it was a opening gate it would indeed be much easier to breach however just like portcullis they have a thick metal spike usually half a meter inside the ground! Combine it with the wood of an Faery tree and some black iron this gate is unimaginably sturdy. This of course would cause the weight of this gate to be unimaginably hard to lift up with regular winches, That is precisely why we instead used magic winches with runes to make the gate nearly 10 times lighter than normal. Although it comes at the price of some mana input here and there but other than that it has little to no flaws". Eredeti looked at the slowly opening gate in amazement not only has he never heard of such martials but he was even more excited after hearing 'runes!' Eredeti's curiously peaked at this moment. However it almost Immediately died down 'Focus! there is obviously going to be something incredibly strong in here otherwise they wouldn't have sealed it here in the first place' Eredeti thought to himself.
As the gate was raised high enough for Eredeti to peek in he couldn't help but be shocked by what he saw, It was monsters! and a lot of them but not only were their an obscene amount of monsters but as well as bones however what was especially eye catching was that their was a huge skeleton of a dragon sealed in place on top of what looked like a magic formation. Even though the dragon died it was still emitting enough aura to make Eredeti nearly fall to his knees however he caught himself with his sword before he fell as he gripped the sword that was now in the ground as hard as he could almost as if he let go he would truly die. "Scary thing isn't it?" Xander said although Xander was in a much better condition than Eredeti he was still profusely sweating. Eredeti struggled to stand and looked up at Xander and said "Is that thing really dead?!" "Of course it is! It has been for a long time nearly 200 years in fact!" when Eredeti heard this he couldn't help but to feel despair. "Your telling me this thing has been dead for nearly 200 years! Yet it's still letting out such a suffocating aura" Xander looked at the struggling Eredeti and replied "Enough of the questions now it's time for the real test! Get up or else your truly die!". Once Eredeti heard this he looked at Xander who was going to unleash a cage that had an extremely ugly creature in it worse than any of the goblins and orcs he's seen it had dark red skin a ferocious smile on it's face a black tail that reached down to the ground and most importantly a pair of small horns on its head, as Eredeti looked at it he realized it was a demon! Although Eredeti has never fought a demon he asked a few questions through his travel with his allies and one of them were demons! Although Eredeti heard Steve and the rest say that the pure demon bloodline should be relatively rare as they were either killed in war and could never reproduce to the point of replenishing their numbers. As well as the commanders of the dark lords army not being able to summon any more for some reason as such the numbers of the demons inevitably shrunk.
The only demons that were left were all relatively powerful, of course this was obvious for only the strong could survive the flames of war and the lucky few who escaped or were captured for experimentation. Although the ones captured couldn't exactly be called lucky for they had to go through painful experiments conducted by the wizards and were disposed of shortly after and the demon Eredeti was facing was exactly that, merely a low rank demon that needed to be disposed of however even a low rank demon can't be underestimated. For a low rank demon can be considered extremely strong in the eyes of normal people and only those who could use mana efficiently would only have a slight problem dealing with them. Eredeti could see the demon in front of him looking at him with eyes full of bloodlust and a mouth full of foam although Eredeti was quite confident he could deal with something only slightly stronger than an orc. However Eredeti's body wouldn't listen to him almost as if the aura of the dragon was increasing his gravity ten fold he was simply unable to react as the short demon rushed towards him with his claws ready to strike him down. Xander who was looking at Eredeti from the side frowned and thought 'another failure huh?' he let out a low sigh and said under his breath "it's a shame we really needed more man power but what can you expect with someone with all bark and no bite"
However Eredeti wasn't willing to give up he looked at the blood hungry demon rush towards him Eredeti started to spread his mana through out his body and finally the gravity seemed to lighten up on him. Yet the aura seemed to be slightly suppressing his mana although he could circulate it through his body it was rather difficult to cause any external effects. However Eredeti could still stand he took this chance before the low rank demon could get to him he activated leap as he felt the mana surge to his legs which made his legs bulge. He grabbed his sword as he flew towards the demon before it could react properly Eredeti slashed at the demon's abdomen as he sliced clean through the side leaving a large gap. Eredeti looked back surprised 'I thought it would cause more damage' the demon squealed in pain before quickly charging at Eredeti almost as it didn't care about the injury Eredeti quickly reacted blocking the demon's claws from touching him as Eredeti activated bash and made the demon slide to the ground. Eredeti didn't miss this opportunity and quickly charged in! Eredeti stomped onto the demons chest causing it to cough in pain as it was held in place. Eredeti then took out another small dagger and pierced it into the left wrist of the demon and stopped on it firmly making the demon squirm with pain. The demon started to slash at Eredeti's leg attempting to get Eredeti off struggling with all his strength Eredeti could only ignore the pain as he started to slash ferociously at the little demon when Eredeti saw the damage being dealt to it was not as effective he grabbed his dagger. As Eredeti crouched down and continuously stabbed the demon over and over even when the demon stopped resisting Eredeti kept stabbing until his armor turned a weird purplish red color dyeing his armor. Eredeti only stopped when he saw the color of this demons soul, however he didn't stop because he saw it was dead but because he was curious as to why this demon's soul was pitch black. Before Eredeti could think of anything else the souls started to slowly sink Eredeti thinking that this soul would disappear if he let it continue however before it could sink further Eredeti instantly grabbed it and held it in his hand.
When Eredeti tried absorbing the soul he felt a little resistance as if the soul didn't want to go into Eredeti's space it was resisting however Eredeti felt this resistance and felt the power in his soul wanting to consume it even more so he guided the mana from his body into this demon's soul dyeing it a deep green color. Finally it disappeared as he felt it enter his space of souls Eredeti felt relived and finally let out a deep sigh before falling to the ground a little exhausted however he still felt the aura of the dead dragon but as if his body and mana was adapting to the pressure. He felt his body and mana slightly increase as if it was evolving to resist this external pressure however he also felt that if this could truly improve his being that he wouldn't do it now and only attempt this when he felt he was at a bottle neck. For if Eredeti would waste this chance of growth now he feared it would be a waste since he wasn't at his peak and the opportunity would be wasted while he was weak and not when he needed it. Xander on the side however was quite surprised to see Eredeti still standing and the sudden burst of aggression and ruthlessness to kill the demon Xander finally thought 'I found a good one this time!' as he let out a smirk. "Good job, Eredeti!" Xander said as he reached his hand out and lifted Eredeti up "So did I pass?" Eredeti asked. "Of course you did!" Xander replied "Can we leave this place now? I feel like if I stay here for a moment longer I'm going to collapse" Eredeti said as he looked at the dragon remains Xander also followed his gaze slapped his head and said "Yes we should leave before anything else happens". As Xander motioned the swordsman to once again open up the gate as they walked out to leave.
