Chapter 2 Reborn as the Emo's Kid

September 9 1993

Being born is kinda weird. I dont know how to explain it, its like being able to reach the light in a dark tunnel but not? Man I can't explain! Its too weird. All I know I was crying uncontrollably when I was born.

Bu then I felt it. The warmth of my mother I received by being held by her. And her joyous cries for birthing me. I couldn't help but but stop crying and start giggling like an idiot.

It was a uncontrollable reflex. From the sound of it I can tell my mother became even happier when I laughed .

"My aren't you an energetic one, I didn't expect that from you, you being you're father's son."

As this she pulled me closer and I can finally see her properly. Jet black hair reaching her back and beautiful ruby red eyes that's filled with warmth, kindess an a bit of childishness. She also had translucent white porcelain skin. If I didn't know any better I would have thought she was a vampire. But hopefully not, I would rather not suck people's blood or die with the contact from the sun.

She smiled at me and said.

"Your name shall be Ashbourne  Smith, Son of Ruby Smith and Hades Lord of the Underworld."

'Hades? '

If I wasn't shock being the son of a greek god I would have laugh at my mother being named after the color of her eyes or look at her weirdly for naming be Ashbourne.

As I was shock I didn't notice she was giving me to another person, a man. He had Black hair and black eyes and had an unhealthy pale skin. He had a Godly aura around him an aura of death and darkness. Strangely enough I didn't fear his aura more like I feel safer being closer to it. Then I realized who was holding me. It was Hades, or should I say my father.

"Here Hades as his father you need to hold him, atleast once" She whispered the last words so I didn't hear what she said.

When I realized it was him, I panicked. This was Hades Son of Kronos, God of the Dead, God of Riches, Lord of the Underworld, The Emo God, Our Friend Downstairs, Our Friend Way Downstairs-

"He's my son, my son..." he said with so much emotion that I wondered is this really the guy the greek mythology labeled as an Evil God?

"He is." My mother fondly said to him.

This got my father to realize that we weren't alone. He looked and smiled sheepishly at her.

He nodded at her and looked at me straight in the eye and said.

"My son, I know you probably won't remember any of this but I'll say it anyway. You are my demigod son. Life of a demigod is never easy, life of a Son of Hades is even harder. As a demigod of one of the Big 3, you will be constantly attacked and sought out by monsters. And as a son of Hades there's a high chance you will be outcast by your fellow demigod in fear of me. And I am sorry for that." He told me with pity.

'Wait hold up, sought out by monsters?' With those words I started to panick.

" But as your father I know you will stay strong and overcome and adversary that may come your way. "He said with so much confidence that it made me stop panicking and I looked at him strangely. He didn't notice and continued saying.

"Curse the Fates and Ancient Laws, because of them I wouldn't be able to protect you and your mother myself." He said with a sigh of regret.

'So, he'll just give up and leave just like that?

He'll give up on me and mom? But he's a god. Gods do everything they want so why-'

"But I know you'll be strong and protect yourself and your mother. Won't you?" He said with a confident smile.

I wanted to say of course but I couldn't speak, so all that I could do was nod.

" Good " He says as he nods in approval.

He gave my back to my mother and began to say his goodblye to her.

I didn't know why but I began to fell drowsy in my mothers arms and I fell asleep last seeing my mother crying with a sad smile.

That was the first time I saw my father and the last time I saw him before I went on my adventures.
