Chapter-2 (Reminence of Past)

Few construction machines and drilling equipments could be seen along with many people scattered around searching for something at the barren Rocky place in middle of the jungle

"Sir it's been over a day since our men been searching the area and they are yet to find anything. Do you feel what we looking for might have just been destroyed during the blast or something?" As a tall dark man in his white laboratory coat looked at his subordinate thoughtfully "have patience Kim. This place been left for 5 long years. Ofcourse it won't be a few hours of work to find something. And.. we don't have a choice but to find the box if we want our heads to stay attached. Come with me" causing Kim to gulp as he followed the man with a specially designed edge cutting machine for excavation in his hand.

Sounds of clanging metal against the rocky surface and trucks lowered as they came further towards the river area where the grass started growing back a bit. The man took out a small device from his pocket and placed it on the ground and turned it on and jumped back. A small booming sound came from the device causing some dirt to fly around it. Few seconds later beeping sound started coming from the device as he smirked

"Let's see what we got here" he picked the device up and looked at the radar system on its top which was showing 3 red dots "it seems like it found something sir. Could it be what we looking for?" Kim looked at the man curiously as the man didn't said anything and started following towards the closest red dot "Kim.. the machine" as Kim placed the machine on the ground as it started cutting through the ground at a rapid pace.

The 4 blades of the machine worked like hands slowly cutting around the edges of the thing below and slowly grabbed picking it up. It was a large badge which had the symbol of their organisation with 3 golden horn like designs "i-is it wh-what i think it is sir?" Kim looked shocked "yes.. it's the badge of our great lord Zander himself" as the man took a deep breath "does that mean this is where he was killed?" Looking at the symbol and it's condition as it was burnt, he checked the radar where it was signalling towards the other two red dots "let's move Kim" as he started running towards the second dot as it was a good distance away from it.

It was a bit of hard sand on the surface. The man took out a brush and knife from the pocket of his coat. He slowly brushed the sand away then used the knife to cut the hard sand away from the spot but suddenly his knife struck something mettalic. He cleaned it's top and it had a Z symbol on it in silver.

"Sir if you may.." as the man got up and stepped back as Kim placed the machine right above the object and the machine slowly started cutting the rocky sand around it carefully. Slowly the object started looking clearer as it was a handle of a sword. It was red in color with a purple in between with some red liquid in it with ancient designs on the handle. It looked like a very rare metal but suddenly the machine stopped working. It couldn't cut the ground further confusing Kim.

"It won't work Kim. Get up. The sword is a lineage itself. Only our lord can take it out from this. No one else can" making Kim look at him curiously as he pressed the speaker on his collar "Team A get the refining machine and a holder" while the man started cleaning the handle of the sword to look at it better. There was blood on it as well at few places but completely dried.

He looked at the radar and saw the last signal is coming from the opposite side of the river. He took the machine from Kim. As the river wasn't deep. Just a bit above his ankle so he crossed the river going towards the spot with the machine. As he reached the place where the signals were coming it was much grassier place. He saw a triangular black thing coming out of the ground like a corner of something.

Soon Team A reached the spot with a special air tight glass container "alright this sword shouldn't be touched ok. We need to retrieve it. We will take it with the rock itself. So cut it out from the ground" Kim looked as the grunts started doing what he said. He turned and saw the Man at the opposite side of the lake. He ran towards him as he saw him digging something with his machine.

When he reached he saw the man sitting on one knee observing something in the ground. As he went closer he saw it was a black colored cube like object. It matched the description he got earlier "sir.. is it what i think it is?" As the man looked at him and smirked "well Kim. Congratulations. Our heads will stay intact" he turned his face back at the cube picking it up slowly causing Kim to grin "for now atleast" which made Kim frown

"Did you see that man with the boss? He was looking so dashing" a women wearing a special fibre made sleek jacket having black color on the outer arm and the whole back divided by a thick white line from the arms to the sidelines of the the jacket. The inner side and front of the jacket were dark blue with a big O written in the middle of the jacket separated in two half by the chain.

"Oh yes i saw him! You know he even winked at me?" Causing the first women to look at her in jealousy "oh he just winked at you. To me he even gave a flying kiss" as the two girls started gossiping among eachother about the mystery man at the base.

"Just look at the girls. Already fawning over the new guy. Am sure he is just some rookie who thinks he's super cool and boss offered him a job here or Something" a man said having similar dress as the ladies "i agree. I am sure i can beat him within a minute. What's even so great about him?" A hand was placed on his shoulder "yea man but he sure seems suspicious. Even that Riley guy seemed to be careful around him. Usually he don't even care who's around" as they continued to chat.

"My my.. i left for give years and look at this place! I expected it to be just as rubbish as the first day i came here. But no.. it actually looks quite more better and futuristic even designer now" Aelius admired the insides of the base with a smile taking a 360 view of the surrounding

"well your girlfriend seemed quite down when you left. But after few months i offered her to renovate this place as she want. And it worked atleast for next two years. She really worked hard changing the things here Aelius. Our system and way of working. Technology. Communication. Weaponry. And credibility has increased tremendously over the time. All thanks to her hardwork" Lawrence proudly told about his second best agent in the organisation after Aelius himself.

He took a deep breath and pulled out his sunglasses wearing them "am sure in deep water huh?" Causing Lawrence to chuckle "oh well what do you expect after ghosting Ms Nyssa for so many years. You don't even know how she felt and what all she went through alone" Riley scoffed causing Aelius to raise a brow at him "and what do YOU even know about Nyssa kid?" as Lawrence butted in "relax Riley. Well Aelius after you went Nyssa went on a small mission where she found Riley. And since then he has been working with us. Nyssa took it upon herself to train him for being the best" causing Riley to look away frowning

Aelius took in the new info but before he could say anything an old man came in his late 50's came running at him causing him to grin "Aelius My boy! It's been years since i last saw you. Where have you been? Do you know how much me and my wife missed you? She was so heartbroken when she got to know you left" as they both hugged eachother tightly "am sorry Mr Lee.. i was.. just trying to get life back on track. How's Mrs Martha?"

The old man nodded "it's alright Son. Am glad you are back now. She is great and is very excited to meet you again. Others are also quite excited you know. You won't leave us all again right?" He asked hopefully causing Aelius to feel hesitant "ahhh Mr Lee i totally forgot about your awesome meals! I can't wait to taste it all again. I will surely come to meet her and others soon. Just have a bit of work with sir then will come to you" he smiled at the old man who got happy hearing the sweet words about his dishes "ofcourse son i will be making many more dishes for you now. We will waiting for ya. Come soon alright" as Aelius nodded and smiled sending the old man away.

Meanwhile Lawrence and Riley stood a Lil away chatting in a hushed tone "sir.. that old man! He never even gave me a cup of tea without glaring. I only ever heard scolding from him. And saw same treatment with others too. Barely ever i saw him treating someone kindly but this!" Looking at Riley's frustration made Lawrence chuckle

"You know Riley.. this organisation was not like how you see it to be right now. When you came alot had changed already. And your teacher made it only better. But you know who started this change?" Riley shook his head in no "it was him. Aelius was not like others.. not like me.. he was a free spirit. The organisation rules and everything was way too strict and laughing or chatting in open like you see these days. It dosen't used to happen. Discipline is the word" as Lawrence remembered the old days.

Riley placed his hand on his shoulder causing him to look at him "then what happened sir?" As Lawrence smiled "He was like a typical bad boy rule breaker but with a heart of gold. One thing he hated was.. Orders. He hated when someone ordered him something. There's barely anyone to whom he even listened to. Like me or your teacher. You are being too hard on him son. He was not just the top agent of the whole organisation. But he was a hero for our people" causing Riley to go in deep thought when suddenly they heard a coughing sound behind them.

"why you two looking so serious? Did Riley peed or something?" Causing Lawrence to laugh "what the- how dare you!! Do you think everyone has low standards like you!!" Riley looked at Aelius fuming in anger while Lawrence sighed "so high standards huh? I didn't knew you had a kink of Aerial Peeing" as he laughed hard while Lawrence couldn't help but snicker turning his head away causing Riley to blush in embarrassment at the backfire "i.. uhh.. sir! You can't laugh at me as well!! Ahhhh!!" As the two continued to laugh causing Riley to sigh.

"You were watching live at your tv screen the speech of the mayor. Let's hear about the situation from him itself " as the lady reporter started pushing through the crowd making her way towards the Mayor who was trying to reach his car with his secretary and guards as many other reporters were trying to ask him questions.

"Kindly move aside you all. Sir is getting late for a meeting" the secretary came in front of the mayor as the lady pushed her Mike from above his shoulder right near the mayor's face "sir what is your government doing about the increasing crime rate in the city especially of robbery and ransom cases?" Causing the secretary to frown as the mayor pushed his hand down

"see. We are working towards that only. That is one of the important part of the meeting that i am going to attend right now. I will talk to the other members and police and then will take appropriate measures. You will be informed of whatever actions that will be taken. Now get out of my way you all" as the mayor pushed through and everyone stumbled back as he sat in his black car with his secretary and went away.

The lady straightened up and looked back at her cameraman "so that was our mayor live on our channel. Now we have to see what actions are the mayor and the police are going to take for keeping the city safe. Signing off reporter Lisa Cyrus and cameraman Steve Carlson" as the camera turned off and it started raining.

She quickly reached her van "Steve! Can you tell me why are we doing this nonsense all over again?" Her voice annoyed as removed her coat and place it on the side on her seat as Steve started the engine of the van "cause that's what we are paid for Lisa. Running here and there in the crowd to get the interviews of these arrogant powerful people and be pushed away then. It's how life is" talking like a wise men Steve started driving.

Lisa sighed as she put some coffee in a mug and took a sip "i miss my old life.." looking at the blank screen of her phone when suddenly it started ringing by a unknown number. She picked it up "hello?-" when she suddenly got cut by the voice from the other side "Ms Lisa Cyrus. Investigation and detective wing class S. You have been asked to come back and join the organisation. You will retain your past position. If you agree your mission will be assigned to you. It's code black. Do you want to join the organisation back?"

Lisa was in shock for a moment. Her voice hitched in her throat "this call will be cut in the next 10 seconds if no reply recieved" causing her eyes to widen "ahhhh.. yes! Yes i agree to join back. Give me my mission" she waited as a few moments passed "voice detection complete. Welcome back Ms Lisa. You will recieve your mission from Alfred. Our communication and transportation chief in Spain. You will find him near the southern port. You know how to find him" call disconnected as Lisa was quiet for a few moments

"Hey Steve! Ig i will be quitting the job" she smiled at the thought of finally getting what she wanted for so long as the car came to a sudden halt "what!!" Steve screamed

Huge black busses with red Z symbol on the sides reached in an open place where was a huge lake spread in acres "team Zeta reporting. Access to base. Mission accomplished" The Man in the laboratory coat said on his speaker while sitting in the bus as some weird noises came from the lake edge near them as suddenly the water started separating.

It turned out to be a huge entrance to an underwater base as all the busses slowly started going inside highly developed path filled with lots of security systems scanning each bus along with the people inside it.

Soon the busses came to an stop and the door opened. All the people came out "Kim get the three objects and come with me. Send all the other things we found on the site to the laboratory" the man started walking ahead as Kim signalled his men by making some signs from hands as four people the huge rock in the vessel while one was holding the black cube and Kim himself was holding the glorious badge of Zander as they followed behind the Man.

They soon came to the insides of the base it was much wide and open from inside going several storeys down in the ground making. They went straight ahead at the table in the front near the area where all the offices were. A women was sitting in an all black jacket and pant with two thick red stripes on the front towards the side with a red Z symbol in the middle separated in two halves by the chain.

"I want to meet lord Zyrax now" the man said to the lady sitting on the counter "sir he is currently busy in a small meeting. If you can wait-" she was cut shorted as the man slammed his hand on the table "this is urgent! Tell him the mission is successful" the lady gulped and nodded as she picked up the phone and dialled a number "My lord.. Team Zeta has came back. Mr Kray wants to meet you. He said mission is successful" a few seconds passed when a sound came from the other side "alright sir i will send him right away" she placed the phone down "sir you can go to his office. He has called you" as the man named Kray went ahead.

He passed all the offices and labs. Soon he reached the end of the passage and turned right from there. Straight ahead was a huge black door. He took a deep breath and knocked as the door opened automatically he saw it was all back. But there was light right in the middle of the room. He slowly made his way forward and stood under the light. He could make out the stairs ahead and the majestic throne on which someone was sitting looking at him. His eyes unwavering causing Kray to gulp.

"My lord.. i brought what you asked me and something more as well. Here's the prism box and.." he took the badge from Kim and the cube and made his way up towards the throne and slowly kneeled down on one knee while offering the two items to the man in front. The man took the black prism box first and looked at it carefully as a small smirk formed on his face.

Kray was still looking down nervously when he felt a hand on his shoulder "get up Kray. You did your job well. Just as i expected from you. What's this thing in your hand?" A deep heavy voice came causing him to relax with a breath of relief "my lord.. this.. it's the badge of our former leader. Your father Lord Zander's. We found it nearby the box" Zyrax took the badge from his hand and looked at it closely noticing the dried blood on it causing him to clench it tighter "but that's not the only thing we found at the sight. There's something more interesting that might catch your attention My lord" causing Zyrax to look at him as he saw Kray motioning from his hand.

Kim turned and motioned the four men to place the vessel down and open it. They took the rock out and closed the vessel again making Zyrax look at it curiously "what is that Kray?" Causing Kray to grin sinisterly "My lord you would be happy to know we found the Sword of your Father which has a glorious history from centuries" an intense look formed upon Zyrax face as he got up from his throne.

Zyrax had a mighty built. Lean yet broad and his armour sticked to his muscles with his cape flowing down his back just a bit below his knees. He slowly made each step down giving a booming sound against the floor. Soon he came into the light as his face cleared. A handsome young man with a sharp edged beard and moustache with thick siny black hairs complimenting his looks. His eyes had a light red tone.

He smoothly moved his fingers along the handle of the sword 'always remember son. This sword will one day be yours. It's the most valuable thing our ancestors left for us. It's power and quality and unmatchable. One day you will hold it and it will respond to you alone. Only a true blood can take control of this sword' he took a deep breath remembering his father's words.

He lightly kicked the vessel towards the rock and climbed on top of it. Kim and Kray were looking at the scene as the stone in the sword starting shining brightly the moment Zyrax took hold of it. Purple lighting started going up his hand as he grunted closing his eyes when suddenly the light calmed and his body looked like in a trance. He stayed like that for a few seconds

"Sir.. what happened to lord Zyrax.. he isn't moving!?" Kray knew what was happening cause he had seen the same happen with Zander himself when he became the king "the sword is showing him the last memory of lord Zander. It's power is tremendous. It's testing lord Zyrax capability to become the next holder of this magical Sword.." Kim looked at him in astonishment.

When suddenly the stone shined much more brighter but in a soothing way. Zyrax suddenly opened his eyes and placed his left leg on the rock and pulled the sword up with all his strength "aaaarrrghhhhh!!!" And *booom* the stone cracked into pieces and vessel broke as well and smoke rised up.

Kray and others covered their faces from the small blast as the smoke slowly started to fade. They saw Zyrax down one knee supporting himself up with the sword as he breathed heavily "lord Zyrax.. you controlled the sword.. you did it. What did it showed you my lord?" Smoke was coming out of the sword as a deep chuckle echoed throughout the room as Zyrax looked up at Kray

"you know Kray.. what brought down my father?" Kray looked visibly tensed at the question "the Orions? That one who killed lord Zander. Aelius?" Zyrax got up shaking his head "no.. it was his pride and arrogance. The shit with the lineage. Underestimating his opponent was his downfall!" Kim shuddered at his outburst

"but I... Am not him. It's not a battle which is going from years between two organisations. Not anymore. It's my personal fight now. It's my goal to take humanity where my father wanted to see it. He took his steps in light of the Orions making sure they are hindered. It only redirected him from his goal. Ultimately his aim became destruction of Orion. But i won't do the same mistake. Let them feel the rage of Zander's army.. or shall I say Zyrax's Army and drown in fear" audible gasps were heard in the room "but lord Zyrax-" Kray stopped as he saw the eyes of Zyrax shining purple as he was glaring at him

"Do you dare to defy my words Kray!" Zyrax reached him at an inhumane speed as his sword was on his kray's neck who was scared "n-no my lord.." as he stared at his sword "then let's start the operations. Send Shane to me. Call him back wherever he is. I got an important mission for him" cracking his knuckles he pulled his sword away from his neck and went back to his throne as all them quickly ran out of the room.
