CHAPTER 49: RELIEF IN GLASSES

After lunch, Jhon asks Raul how the interview with detectives went.

John can notice something somber about his friend's attitude, no doubt dismay, but he does not know if it is for Samantha or for Rose.

Raul, babbles some vague phrases.

This indicates to Jhon that, Raúl is still processing that interrogation, like himself, his ideas are very scrambled.

Even, he doubts himself, lately he has been drinking too much.

Having sexual fantasies with many women, this is what has calmed his cravings to look for women for the night a bit.

His experiences have been so vivid that he doubts if he did anything to Samantha, being under the influence of alcohol.

Raul, did not want to touch the subject much, only manages to say that Rose will be affected by the visit of the agents.

This sounds complicated, and they take it for granted that these agents will come back a few more times.

Jhon didn't want to touch on the subject much in the following days either.

One of the afternoons, Jhon, runs into Alice in the office cafeteria (a room that doubles as a lounge with cafeteria, refrigerator and microwave for staff use).

The two people who were with them, leave the room since it is time to return to their cubicle.
