Chapter 266: Going shopping

"I wonder what this your hero looks like. You praise him so much. I can't wait to see him. For your information, your dad is very handsome." She snarled.

"I hope so." He muttered as he relaxed in the chair.

Minutes later.

The taxi came to a halt in front of the mall.

"We are here." The driver declared as Daisy passed him money in the car, and Ryan opened the door of the taxi and ran out as she followed behind him.

"It's so big." He muttered with his mouth wide open, staring at the mall.

"Is this your first time at the mall?" She inquired.

He turned to look at her.

"You haven't brought me here before." He muttered, glaring at her.

"Anyway, that doesn't matter. Come with me." She stated she was trying to grab his hand as he pulled his hand away.

"I can walk myself." He protested.

She started walking into the mall as he followed her closely.

Ryan was scrutinizing the mall as Daisy took a cart from the group of carts and started rolling it into the balloon section.

She stopped in front of a shelf filled with balloons when she noticed Ryan wasn't with her.

She looked around as she sighted him on a shelf with action figurines.

She left the cart and walked over to him, grabbed his ear and started leading him to where the cart was.

"Ouch! That hurt! Let go of my ear." He groaned as she let go of his ear, which turned bright red.

"What were you doing there?" She asked, glaring at him.

"I was just staring at the figurines. They are so cool. I want one." He muttered, smiling nervously.

"You can't get that, it's too expensive. We came here to shop for your birthday, not to buy toys." She snarled.

"Okay." He mumbled, folding his hand as he put on a sad face. She ignored him and started going through the balloons. She tossed a sachet of balloons that had happy birthday written on them into the cart and started pushing it to another shelf as he walked behind her.

She stopped at a shelf with fire crackers.

"Yaay! Fire crackers, buy it mom." He beamed as she took a magic candle and tossed it into the cart.

"I will buy just a little." She muttered as she grabbed it and started hearing Chris's voice.

"Cupcake, you like spending a lot." Chris whined.

Daisy froze as she slowly turned her head and saw him with a girl with his hand wrapped around her waist.

"What's wrong, mommy? Take it." Ryan declared.

"Shh." She muttered, putting her finger on her lips as she grabbed a cracker as she used it to cover her face as she started pushing the cart really fast.

"Mommy, slow down." Ryan muttered, running after her as she hid behind a shelf with him.

"Why are we hiding?" Ryan inquired.

"Keep your voice down." Daisy declared as Chris and his girlfriend started walking towards where they were.

"Mom...Ryan couldn't talk when Daisy closed his mouth with her hand as Chris walked past them with his girlfriend. He didn't notice them because he was busy looking at his girlfriend.
