A Parent's Hopes and Wishes

Han Eugine groaned in pain.

After realizing that Eugine's shoulder was dislocated, the school's doctor decided to pop his arm bone back into the shoulder socket at the clinic at that exact moment since it will be better to treat his shoulder as soon as possible.

Mira and the rest looked at Eugine worriedly. His face was pale and he was breathing hard.

It was Jamie who spoke for them. "Will he be fine?"

Dr. Summers nodded. "The pain should start to lessen once the bone was popped back into place."

True to her words, Eugine started to have some color to his previous pale face.

"Although we set it back, you still have to go to a hospital to get it properly checked to make sure that nothing was wrong. They will be the one to put a sling on it and give you a prescription for the pain if there is any need." She added.

Eugine nodded.

"Wait here, I'll get ice." Dr. Summer said before leaving.

They watched as the doctor leaves the clinic.

Seeing that Eugine was really fine, they started teasing him.

"Just what did you do to dislocate your arm like that? Dont tell me that you really slammed your body against the door to open it, like in those drama?" Kang Jun guffawed.

"Tsk. You owe him then Mira." Jamie added while looking at her knowingly. "The prince became like that trying to save the damsel. How nice."

Mira winced while Eugine looked away. He didn't speak. However, his ears are red. Seeing this, Kang Jun laughed harder.

After laughing, Kang Jun became serious. "What do you think will happen to Hannah?"

The other three became quiet. They know the severity of the situation. A student tried to kill herself in the school, no matter what, ISOA will not let the event to tarnish the school's reputation. Somebody will have to be responsible and take the blame.

They sighed. They really have no idea how the school will handle the situation. They just hope that the conclusion will be favorable to Hannah.

Seeing that none of them offered an opinion, Kang Jun looked outside the window. His eyes are unreadable.

In the Guidance Office, Hannah sat in silence. Her whole body was shaking but her mind was blank. The teachers looked at her worriedly.

A moment later, the door opened and the Principal went in with Hannah's parents in tow.

When Hannah saw her parents, her head that was blank suddenly became clear. Looking at her parents's worried face, she suddenly realized the severity of what she almost did. Tears started streaming down her face.

When her mother saw her, she immediately hugged Hannah.

"What's wrong?" She asked her daughter but Hannah only cried silently. Her mother turned to the teachers for answers.

The school haven't told them yet what happened. Hannah's class adviser who was called Mrs. Chavez by the students contemplated how to tell them what happened. As Hannah's adviser, the responsibility falls to her.

"Madam, Sir; its like this." She started. "Please listen calmly to what Im about to tell you. Your daughter tried to jump from the rooftop of the school."

Hannah's parents were given no time to react. Afraid that they might react too badly, Mrs. Chavez quickly told them what happened, omitting useless informations and getting straight to the point steadily. After she finished telling them what happened, she waited for their reaction.

Hannah's mother burst into tears. She held Hannah while sobbing. "Why did you do that? Why?"

Hannah sobbed. "Sorry Ma.. Im sorry."

Beside them, Hannah's father was silently shaking, his face pale and eyes red.

Mrs. Chavez exchanged a glance with the principal. Seeing that Hannah's parents are hysterical and in shock, she didn't want to bother them anymore but as Hannah's parents, they have the right to know everything, no matter how ugly it is.

She handed them a cellphone and showed them the video.

When Hannah saw her father received the cellphone, she started to panic. She clutched her mother's arm while sobbing. "Its not me. Its not me." She cried. "I really didn't do that Ma. Its not really me."

Hannah's father took the cellphone and looked at the video. Seeing what kind of video it is, he quickly looked away after barely watching it. He had seen enough.

His remaining composure finally collapsed and he started crying too.

He clutched the Principal's hand. "Thats not my daughter. My daughter is not like that."

"Is my daughter in trouble? Will you punish her because of that video? Im begging you, please dont. That's not our daughter. My Hannah will never do that kind of video." Hannah's mother started begging too.

They did not finish their studies so they know how hard it is to find a living when you're uneducated. That's why no matter how hard it is, they tried to send and support Hannah into studying in ISOA. They are hoping that their duaghter would be educated enough so that she will never experienced the same hardships that they went through. They are poor and they have nothing to leave to Hannah. The only thing that they could do for her is to give her a good education. All parents hope for the best for their children.

They couldn't take it if Hannah gets expelled because of this.

Seeing her parents beg, Hannah's heart broke. While standing in the rooftop, she thought that her existence was a burden to her parents and that if she died, they would have a better life without her. She just realized how selfish and self-centered she'd been.

She never thought of how her parents would feel if they lost their only daughter.

The sight of her parents crying and begging became imprinted on her mind. At that moment, Hannah swore that she would never let her parents cry and beg like that again.

The principal calmed her parents down.

"Please calm down. We already had someone analyzed the video. We believed that its not your daughter. However, the fact that it is uploaded in the school's forum with a caption saying that the video is about a student here, it means that someone was purposely trying to harm your daughter." The principal explained.

"Now, what we want to ask your daughter is this. Is there someone that you think who might harm you like this? Were you in fight with anyone? We need clues in order to narrow down the list of who might be the culprit."

Hannah started to calm down. She remembered what Mira told her: "Why should you die because of the people who wronged you?"

So she told the faculty the only name she could think of.
