Chapter 9

I grabbed her hand out of the room, walked downstairs and I heard rushing footsteps coming from the door. I pulled her behind me And grabbed my gun from the waistband.

I could feel her hand holding tight on my shirt.

"Kiari!!!" I heard his voice and stopped when he saw us. I shot the floor in front of him and he was shocked.

"What the heck?!" He asked angrily surprised. I smirked and rolled my eyes.

"You're late Baron!" I shouted at him with my burning gaze.

"Hello!! Kiari The Man! we can't locate you immediately, You know!" He said sarcastic rubbing his neck.

I hold her hand and looked at her. She looked pale, what just happened terrified her. I hugged her tight and she hugged me back.

"Hey stopped that romance, the police are on their way," Baron said and we sprinted out the big house.

Baron drove my motorbike and I drove his car. I looked at Selina and she's still crying.

I sighed "Hey, Are you okay?" I asked blankly deep, though I already know that she's not.

She shook her head and wiped her tears.

"Why the dude wants to kill me?" She asked between sobbing.

I didn't answer her, I don't know how or what to answer. Their target was me and she was only a victim.

I drove to my condo when we arrived I get off and walked on the passenger seat and opened the door for her. She gets off slowly, she looked at me with swollen eyes. I shut the door and pulled her to my room.

"Why are we here?" She asked and with running nose.

I walked heading to the kitchen and grabbed a glass filled it with water and go back to the living room and handing it to her.

She drank the water and coughed I rubbed her back slowly.

She stood up and hugged me placing her head on my chest.

I hugged her back, I don't know why I've done that, but I kissed her head.

"Thank you for saving me Kiari." She said and began to sobs.

"I don't know Andy is a bad guy, He injected something on my neck." Fuck that sedative drug. I sighed deeply and hold her arms looking straight on her eyes.

"Don't trust Andy and his friends. Okay?" I asked her emotionless, I furrowed my eyebrows emotionless.

She nodded "I just don't know why Andy did that, what is his connection to the Dude?" She asked furrowed and a tear slipped from her eyes. I wiped the tear emotionless. But the truth is deep down, I could die in worries, I was just used to show the "I don't on give a fuck" expression because that's how Dad Saynel trained me.

"Cris is Andy's Dad, "I said and deeply cold. And the way she looked at my change.

"Who killed my Mom kiari?" She asked seriously cold.

I sighed " Cris." I replied, sighing.

"He's dead right?" She asked furrowed her brows. I nodded and she hugged me.

"Thank you so much kiari." She said buried her face on my chest.

We spent the rest of the night on the terrace and watched the city light. I looked at her she shivered slightly, I took off my cotton jacket and placing it on her. She looked at me and smiled a little.

"Thanks." She mumbled and looked straightly forward expressionless, I heard her sighed.

"Uhmm Kiari." She said looking at me, seemingly shame. " Is that true that you almost killed Tiffany's boyfriend?" She asked furrowed and waiting for my reply.

I did a single nodded nonchalantly avoiding her gaze.

"Why?" She frowned. I looked at her nothing but a restrained expression.

She sighed and smile a little, She nodded and looked at me.

"Whatever your reason is. I believe in your kindness still." She said sincerely and that hit me hard. I turned my back at her, heading to my bedroom.

She followed I turned around to face her.

"Selina," I said casual and she looked at me raising her eyebrowed.

"rest," I said emotionless and I laid down on my bed. I looked at her, she was stunned.

I stared at her blankly and tapped the bed beside me. She raised her brows. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

"Laid here," I said tapping the bed and she nodded doubtfully.

She laid down making sure the gap between us.

"Wait?!" She shouted and that surprises me, she sits immediately looking at me with those big eyes.

"What?!" I asked annoyed and I rolled my eyes.

She moved quickly and pinched my cheeks. Then, placed her hand on my chest and in my wrist.

I pulled my hand away from her hand and looked at her with a burning gaze.

"What are you doing?" I asked furrowed and confused.

"I remember what happened in that big house. Cris shot you!" She said unbelievable and shook her head.

"And so?" I asked nonchalantly and furrowed my eyebrows.

"You're not dead right?" I chuckled her expression gave me amusement.

"I don't know," I said I like to play in this kind of instance.

She smacked me and stood up instantly. She looked at me like she was seeing ghosts.

"OMG! I can see a dead person!" She said about to cry. I throw her the pillow and she looked at me madly.

I stared at her blankly.

Then she walked close to me and hold my hand. And she shrugged twisting her lips upward. And looked at me then she pouts and rolled her eyes. She feels my warm to confirm I'm alive.

She laid back at my bed and gently closed her eyes. I watched her as she slowly falls asleep. I fix the mattress and get up, I stunned when she held my hand tight.

"Don't leave me." She said and tears slipped from her swollen eyes.

I laid back wiped her tears and she hugged me. I hugged her rubbing her back with the use of my single hand. I don't know if she will be able to sleep when her head near my chest, I'm sure she can hear my heartbeat and feel its vibration.

I slowly grabbed my phone from the bedside table and lowered the brightness. I looked at the messaged Baron's sent me.

Baron;

They are now preparing for his burial.

I tapped the message box,

Replied to Baron;

Go to hell, Moron.

Baron;

Hahaha!! Yiee the bad boy gone wild.

I rolled my eyes and put down my phone, I'd be crazy if I'll mind him. And dozen off.

I woke up at 4 o'clock and I looked at Selina she's still sleeping, Silently dreaming she smiled a little enough to made me smile.

I get up and walked to the kitchen, I made coffee, then heading to the terrace. I sighed and read the random article, I fold the article dropping it at the table.

I was surprised when I heard a broken glass inside. I walked heading to the kitchen and saw Melisa on the floor picking the broken glass. And I pulled her when her finger starts bleeding because of cuts from broken glass. She was surprised when I pulled her and washed her hand into the sink and put some band-aid onto it.

"I'm sorry." She said looking down embarrassed slightly. I nodded sighing. She's clumsy and careless. 

"It slipped off from my hand." She added.

I cleaned the broken glass on the floor. I heard a growling commotion and I looked at her she's holding her stomach.

I'm her personal cooked, confirmed!

I opened the fridge and looked for something to cook. But I'm tired to do the longed cooking process so cooked instant noodles.

"I can fried egg." She offers but I immediately shook my heat. Maybe she'll burn the house.

She groaned and turned away, I looked at her from behind she looked at her dress. And go back to the kitchen.

"Hmm, can I go out?" She asked me and I looked at her coldly.

"Why?" I asked while putting the noodles on the boiling bowl.

"Nothing" Was all she said before walking away. I knew it she wanna buy clothes outside. The boutique beside the streets that sells cheap clothes. I'm done cooking instant noodles.

"Selina," I called out her name with my deep voice and she strides through the kitchen.

"What?" she asked nonchalantly.

"eat," I said blankly deep.

She nodded and sat on the chair.

I walked heading to my bedroom and opened my closet grabbing my white sweater. And walked out of the room and hand it to her. She looked at me confused, she furrowed her eyebrows, I rolled my eyes.

"Take a bath when you have done," I said and grabbed my chopstick and munching the noodles.

"Ha? Uhmm... I'll take, next to you." She said sheepishly.

"Why? you want me to bath you?" I asked her and she coughed. I smirked and gave her a glass of water.  She instantly drinks and sighed.

"Don't do that next time!" She said mad and melting me with her burning gazed but my appearance didn't show it. I gave her a blank looked and she rolled her eyes.

She gets up walked out from the kitchen.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" She shouted and I sprinting through her. She breathes rapidly loud.

"Hi, Selina.goodmorning! Ugly," He said with idiotic behavior He sit crossing his legs and arm.  I smirked rolling my eyes and walked close to him and hit him using the pillow from the couch.

"Ouch! what the heck! Ugly!" He shouted holding his head and rubbed his neck. I smirked and looked at Selina standing watching us.

She looked at me and locking our eyes and instantly avoid it and walked into the bathroom.

"Hey, why you're intruding on my place?" I asked cuffufled and furrowed my eyebrows.

"I'm spying at you wanna see you make love." He said and playfully smiled and I faintly smirked at him and shot a deadly glare.

"Pervert," I said shaking my head and crossing my arms.

"Hahaha, btw I'm going to the bar later. Wanna come?" He asked roaming his gaze. I shook my head and blankly stared at him.

he sighed " I guess you need to babysit her." He said and I furrowed and looked at him with a burning gazed.

"I'm just kidding man." He said and smile nervously.

I heard the door opened behind.

Baron looked at there and his eyes went big.

"Wit wew!" He said and I turned around and saw Selina. Walking only with short towels. I stood up and pushed Baron out of my condo. " Get out!" I shoo him away and he looked at me and moved his eyebrows up-down-up-down.

I rolled my eyes and we reached the door. "Hey, Ugly good luck!" She said biting his lower lip and giving me thumbs up. I darkly smirked at him and closed the door.

I walked back to the bedroom and saw Selina rubbing her hair with a dry towel. My sweater looks good in her, it's liked she was wearing a dress. I entered the bathroom to do my business and wear a blue sweater and faded black pants.

"Where are you going?" She asked me furrowed and still rubbing her hair.

"We are going somewhere," I said deeply cold and checked my phone.

"Okay," she said nodding.

She wears her white shoes. She's cute.

And we get out to the condo and entered the elevator. The man standing beside him slowly moved closer to her. I pulled Selina and change our spot the man failed to notice and get closer to me and touched my hand. I quickly moved my hand and hit his nose he groaned, I looked at him a deadly glare and before elevator opened I stepped hard on his foot, I smirked. He groaned contorting in pain and grimaced.

I grabbed her hand and dragged ourselves to the parking lot. We get in my Ferrari and start the engine and speeding up through the streets. We stopped at the mall of America she looks confused and stunned. But didn't bother herself to ask, I get off from the car and so she was. I grabbed her hand as we entered the mall, heading straight to the apple station.

"Choose," I said blankly deep. Looking at the displayed Apple. Since I need a new phone and Selina too.

"No, need I still have my phone." She said showing me her old phone.

"Just choose," I said deeply dark and she yips.

"Okay, okay chillax." She said and rolled her eyes. I waited for her to chose what phone she like but it took her one hour, and She walked to me.

"I like this one!" She exclaimed and holding the phone, I nodded.

And pick the same phone for her. I paid to the counter,

"We have a promo buy two apples and get a free phone case, Ma,m." The lady on the counter said to Selina.

"Really? I can take look?" She asked the lading and the lady nodded and get something behind her. She places the box with many phone cases. Selina chooses the case colored pink with floral. I sighed,

She looked at me with a bright smile and hand me one case the same as her. I looked blankly to the case and grabbed it and paid the lady.

We are walking out of the Apple shop and she grabbed my phone.

I looked at her she was placing it to the pink floral phone case. I let her do what she wants, when she's she gave me back my phone.

And she does the same to her, we walked out of the mall when we passed to mcdo. I looked at her and I was right she was looking there. I grabbed her hand and we enter the mcdo, and she gave me her sweetest smile.

We stop at the counter,

"Hi Sir and Ma, am have a good day! what's order?" She asked smiling.

I looked at Selina and she looked at me, I smirked.

"Fries and soda," I said darkly cold. "Please," Selina said again. And the lady ghastly type our order.

"Just wait for your order Ma, am and Sir." She said but not throwing glance on me.

"Okay Thank you!" Selina said happily and grabbed me on the sit we sat before. Our order came and she starts munching the fries.

"Hey eat." She said grueling. I sighed and pick one fries and drink soda. I looked around outside the mcdo glass and saw someone. Simon, shopping with his wife and 4 bodyguards following them.

"Stay here," I said to her and she stops munching her fries and looked at me.

"Why? Where are you going?" She asked confused and I know that she's afraid too for what happened last time gave her trauma.

"I'll be back, Just stay here. I will come to get you." I said blankly and she nodded, a single tear slipped from her eyes. I wiped it and hushed." I promise." I said and stormed away out of the mcdo.
