What is this club? Why is it taking effect suddenly?

The topic of not such club existing was weirded out by the next set of information that blew down upon us.

"Weird" Eric said.

"I know, right?" Cedric, the one we met when two girls were fighting, said. "but word is that he can tell info about everyone and give riddles about their future" Basically this guy is hanging out with us just because we helped him get out. From what he said, he hadn't even still made a friend from Truffles, his house. People might think he's a startrekker by the way he spends time with us.

"Don't you think that's pretty cool?" Kristiana asked me and I just nodded. Deep down, I found it creepy. What dude does that? They were talking about a superior in our planet's army and as all of us know, Superiors have the weirdest power.

"What, talking in riddles, so people don't understand?" Eric asked, as if he read my mind. The problem in a school filled with superheroes is that you have the frightened urge to think that someone is reading your mind.

I should really stop thinking too much. Oh gosh, I zoned out. Are they still continuing the conversation?

Kristiana rolled her eyes and continued, "He can see future! That's a rare power! Things that are associated with time are so rare"

She looked at me. I gulped. I am rare. Yeah, I am, but still if you all stare at me down like that, I am going to get a panic attack. I am not rare enough to not have a panic attack.

Kristoff, then asked "So, what's the guy's name again?" fixing his gaze at Cedric.

"RISHTER"

"And you are telling he's staying at Gagenoble? But why? It's not like it's a hotel....It's an academy!" Actual logic there but adults are not predictable. From my experience as a teenager, adults always do things that are unpredictably boring. Deep down, I don't want to be such an adult like Mr. Ralph Tarantula, whose expression will give you an impression that he ate a cockroach or this Rishter guy who is getting trolled by a group of teenagers.

"He's staying for a work with Mr. Herbertor."

It's a school, right? What type of business does occur here? I am curious to meet him and find what type of work he does.

"Is it possible for us to meet him?" I asked timidly. Eric and Cedric looked at me confused while Kristoff and Kristiana said at the same time, "No. We are not allowed to talk to people from spy squad"

Spy Squad. That rang a bell. A secret that I had to with hold. I froze for a moment and continued again to shake off any doubts from my friends. I trust them, but I just met them and I want to know more before I can take a move.

"The what?" Cedric asked while Eric said, "Is that a twin thing, syncing sentences?"

Kristiana made a crazy face while Kristoff stated, "Well, in our fifth year, we have to select a squad we should be a part of. First is the Protection Squad. It's to give protection to humans. Second is the defense squad. It's to protect our own kind, Empires and Shadows. Third is the Fighting Squad, to fight against the Calics' army. Fourth is the Brilliance squad, to find innovative products for Empires and studying Magic core. Fifth is the spy squad. They deal with secret things, we have no idea of. They are prohibited to talk to students."

Eric made a face, "Don't tell me West, Cole, Luca told you that!"

"Of course, they didn't! I read it in......."

"The Squad's divisions by Jess Rawk" Kristiana completed. What kind of parents buy their kids such books? Or the question is what type of kids read such books?

"Aren't your parents in Brilliance Squad?" Eric asked "Wouldn't be easy if you ask them? You had to read a book?" He had a point, to be honest.

"Well, they have many details.....What squad your parents were in?" He directed at me and Cedric.

"I am a shadow. My father works at a university. My mom's a housewife. She's a human" Cedric said.

"Same. My father and mother run a café" I said and looked at Cedric, "I am a shadow too" Well, this ought to shadow the lie I told before. What? I am girl with secrets too.

Eric became confused. "My father is in Defense squad. My mother worked for Protection squad. Well, as you know, we have to study in human schools up to thirteen years.....My younger sister had some trouble in studying, so she left her job to look after her.....I was homeschooled along with Kristoff and Kristiana....so, I had no idea"

"We all are so different" I said while Kristiana asked me about my earlier school life. I didn't think Empires can be home schooled. From what I gathered, Empires need to complete at least a year in high school to understand human nature. Guess that's not true.

"It was alright, I had to take subjects such as Math, Science etc....."

Eric looked disgruntled. Kristoff's eyes were gleaming, he said, "The subjects look interesting. No wonder most of the shadows decide to go with human jobs" Human jobs are safe, not interesting. Personally, I favour interesting than safe.

"Yes. They take human jobs leaving the risky jobs to us. That's another reason I hate shadows" Eric said but was met with Cedric and Kristiana's death glares and my disgusted look, "until a few hours back" There you go, typical Eric Bracer.

"So anyway, How did you know about Rishter and his powers, Cedric?" Kristoff asked.

"A good detective never reveals his source" he said and formed a mini fire in his forefinger.

"Show off" Eric said. That's true, Cedric is a perfect match for Eric, I mean in showing off.

Cedric gave a smirk and told in a mocking tone, "I have heard a rumour about you, Eric."

"What?" He asked, maintaining his image in a carefree look.

"About you and the green dorm" He said and Eric became red.

"What?" I asked and Kristoff, Kristiana laughed out loud.

"Don't you dare tell her!" Eric said and I became annoyed, "Why shouldn't I know?"

"Well, if you accidentally fell all the way down the stairs in the green dorm, would you like people to know you were such a baby?"

Oh my, Eric's a blabbermouth, but I don't know why I have this calm and happy feeling when I hear him talk.

"Eric, technically, you told her what happened!!" Kristiana said her mouth full of laughter. He turned red again. She continued, "Serves you right, you shouldn't have tried to get to the green dorm. It's only for people with rare abilities like Ellie."

So that's the boy who fell down the stairs, the girls in Emersons were gossiping about earlier when I used the loo. They told he was handsome, didn't expect him to be Eric.

"I didn't know it's for limited people. If I remember correctly, we all went there when Ellie went to meet Mr.Herbertor." Eric supplied.

They came for me, my little heart's gonna melt.

"Well, we did warn you"

"huh" he said and turned while Cedric asked, " I heard there are six people in your dorm. But why, you always leave out the other two?" It's because they both became close friends, I said to myself.

"They are hanging out with Emersons, that's why!" Kristoff said. I didn't know that.

We all were chatting in the play area when a man with brown eyes and grey hair came and looked at us, "I am looking for Athea from Truffles." He's the only person who looked like he didn't jump from a Disney movie, but sure he looked like a supeior.

"That's my sister. She's in second year. I will fetch her. Why do you need her, sir?"

This man is not a professor. Why is Cedric being formal and calling him sir?

"Just tell her I am Rishter. She knows"
