ALEXANDER

Alexander wasn't much of a talker. That was clear after Stella had been rambling by herself for the past one hour with no response from him.

"Ok so we go find the other three people who-, hey are you even listening to me?" Stella shouted waving her hand frantically in front of his face.

"What yes, yes I am," he stuttered diverting his attention from the window and looked towards Stella who looked annoyed. He ran his hand through his hair for about the sixteenth time. A nervous habit.

It was night now and Alexander was one second away from dozing off, and being trapped in a burning building a few hours ago just added to his exhaustion. "Nice listening to your plan I'm going to sleep now," he said patting Stella's shoulder and pretended to doze off. To his surprise Stella didn't say anything and heard her footsteps retreating upstairs. He opened one eye to see that he was alone and stretched his legs on the couch letting out a sigh of relief before actually going to sleep.

Alexander didn't mind being woken up from his sleep , a side effect of being a light sleeper. However he did mind being woken up from the loud blaring noises of gunshots. After hearing the first shot he woke up startled and clenched his fists tightly which made them erupt in flames. He was ready to attack and slowly turned around to find no one.

He sighed in relief and turned his head back to find Stella right in front of him handgun pointed towards his head. He let out a short yelp before freezing on his spot, hands in the air.

"And that's what you get for not listening," she said with an amused grin before pulling him up by the collar and leading him out the door, following behind.

"Not cool," Alexander shook his head while following suite.

The night was freezing cold making both of them shudder in response. It was as if the world had been covered in a blanket of ice. It was pitch dark outside, the pale moonlight being the only source of light. Even then it was hard to see. It was also an inconvenience that Stella's house was located in the middle of nowhere surrounded densely by trees. Long, slender trees that reached heights that Alexander couldn't even imagine climbing, despite being an excellent climber. Or atleast that's what his father always told him.

"Can we not find the others tomorrow?" Alexander asked, his hands around his body to provide some warmth.

Stella only shook her head in response. Both of them trudged on the muddy path for about one hour before they made it out of the forest. Stella was noticeably shivering from the cold since none of them were dressed appropriately for this weather. When they made it out in to the clearing there was virtually nothing to see except a gas station a few blocks away. "Hold my hand," Stella instructed and he complied. He knew better not to. Stella was going to teleport before muttering under breath, "Fair warning you might get a bit disoriented so brace yourself."

Unfortunately Alexander didn't have time to do so as in a matter of seconds a blue portal was conjured up and the next thing he knew he was somewhere else.Alexander stumbled a bit before gaining his composure but still felt like he was going to throw up.

"You go right I'll go left come back here when you find something, ok?"

Alexander only nodded in response. In an instant Stella was gone leaving him alone to find the person. A shiver ran down his spine as he looked around the forest to see naked branches that stretched out making them look like something from a horror movie. "You got this Alex," he assured himself before once again trying to summon some flames but this time it didn't work. So now Alexander ventured through forest, defenseless trying his hardest to keep his composure.
