The story is overall quite nice. I like the idea. But in my opinion almost every book/novel with the viking/nordic theme is good. There is in my opinion only one problem which makes the reading harder. The author's internal problems with christianity/religion and author's need to bark about it behind every corner...
well I don't think author should use our world as background because this may looks like to easy to predict the reaction of characters and also God is real or not is not a issue but how religious beliefs are definitely people who say religion free is basically a hypocrite because most off the time we get to see something in religion such as in Egypt mycology the technology they have are not till this time recreate and plus the issue with how character development I mean how he really accepted reality and first thing he makes is a weapon i mean doesn't he first make any sense and clinge line such makes mc looks like a waking hypocrite how denied reality and wants to concure the continent I don't know but this looks like a pre planned sat up to me literally he created a javelin and gunpowder telling her and also offering her knowledge on medical I think he's mind became radical and revenge on God like shit stuff after death of his wife and daughter and here we sleeping on bed with another woman in just a day after it it makes no sense to me π€¦ββοΈwell going to read so more chapter before decision I have bad habit of comparing every such novel with realse that witch so don't matter my opinion on this one
MC is just an angry atheist, he is unable to cope with the loss, his daughter has a dream that the plane will crash and he totally ignores it, the MC is literally reincarnated but believes that there is no God, it is obvious that he is incapable to deal with what he cannot see, he glorifies Nordic religion a barbarian religion that preached massacre and sacrifice while saying that the christian inquisition that killed less than 500 people in history was wrong, most colleges and academies were created by the church , scholars were faithful and even scientists too, is a historically inaccurate work that spits out lies
The concept is amazing but there is a LOT of problems atΓ© the start of this novel. The characters and story atΓ© the start is a mesa, a mexican military man going to Europe and plain explosion, then he can speak latim and for god forsaken reason that you have to turn off your brain, there is a woman there to understand. Obs in history major you dont learn latim, this is one of MANY plot devices inserted in the novel to connect the narrativa, BUT in turn makes It all fake and shallow, Just like the dialogue that isnt How normal people speak daily. I will try to read more and the author getting better, but the start need a serious look.
