'That was way easier than I expected. Must be the power of the mask.'

Past the main entrance, he could choose to go either right or left.

'Must be a way to circumvent congestion during peak hours.'

Taking a quick glance at either path, he decided to go right, as that side had a smaller crowd queueing to get in. After a few minutes of waiting, he was in.

He gasped. It was truly a sight to behold. A massive hall, music blaring at maximum volume, and an absolutely gargantuan crowd in the middle, jamming out to whatever the DJ saw fit to play. A thousand hands in the air, all moving in sync with the beat of the music.

Riley shook his head, snapping himself out of his daze.

'This is no time to be impressed. I need to complete the quest.'

The layout of the first floor was fairly simple. Facing away from the door he had come in from, the bar was just on his left, surrounded by bar stools and cocktail tables. Behind the bar was a kitchen of some sort, evidenced by the existence of double push-doors to the left of the bar. To the far right, at the other end of the building, was the DJ stage. Perpendicular to the stage and bar, were four booths; two on each side of the hall. And of course, smack in the middle was the dance floor.

Above him was the second floor. There was a huge gap in the middle of the floor overlooking the dance floor and DJ stage, with railings all around. There were also five more booths; one above the bar and the other four above the first floor booths.

'Those must be the VIP rooms. And if there's a second floor, then there must be stairs.'

Looking around, he spied a group of people moving towards a door that was situated to the right of the DJ stage. Before they could enter the door, the man standing in front of the door stopped them. After a brief exchange, the leader of the group handed something over to the man.

Straining his eyes to focus on the object, Riley used <Analyze> on it.

"Ticket used to gain access to nightclub "The Thorn's" second floor VIP section. Must be presented at the entrance to the staircase, even for re-entry. Printed in-house by the nightclub administration."

The man stepped aside, allowing them to pass. After awhile, the group appeared on the second floor. They crossed over the space that was above the DJ stage, presumably to get to one of the VIP booths that were on the left side of the hall.

'There we go. But it looks like the entire second floor is exclusive only to groups with tickets. Getting in might be tougher than expected.'

As he was thinking this, he saw someone come out from the VIP stairwell.

'Based on what <Analyze> told me, a ticket absolutely must be presented for re-entry into the VIP section. Therefore, that guy must have a ticket on him. I wonder if I can swipe it off him somehow.'

He watched as the man made his way toward the bar. While observing him, Riley noticed that the man was clutching something in his right hand. Upon reaching the bar, he took a seat at the far right corner of the counter and picked up the food menu, putting the ticket on the counter in the process.

'Must be ordering something to eat. Now, how can I steal the ticket and get away with it? Maybe if I cause a distraction?'

Riley looked around him and spotted a glass of water sitting unattended on a nearby cocktail table. An idea formed in his head. Looking back, he noticed a group of people conversing near the target. More importantly most of them were holding drinks.

Riley smiled to himself. He picked up the glass of water and quickly made his way toward the man. Just as he was passing by, he splashed some of the water onto the target's back. Before the target could react, Riley had already stored the glass in his inventory, and had placed both hands in his pockets.

Angrily, the man turned around and glared at Riley. However, upon seeing that Riley was not holding a drink, he quickly turned his ire on the group of people who had been conversing behind him and started shouting at them.

"OI! Be careful with that! I just had this shirt dry-cleaned!"

One of the people he was shouting at turned toward him.

"What the fuck are you on about? We haven't done anything to you."

The man stood up with such force that his bar stool tipped over, causing a loud Crash. This drew the attention of everyone who was nearby.

"Don't bullshit me! One of you idiots spilled something on me!"

"And I'm telling you, none of us did anything of the sort."

"Are you calling me a liar!"

"No, but I do think that maybe you've had too much to drink."

By this time, a circle of people had formed around the two parties, and a fight looked inevitable. As all eyes were on the people arguing, Riley nonchalantly swiped the ticket off the bar counter.

'That was almost too easy. Now to make my way to the second floor.'

Riley sped towards the VIP stairs. Upon presenting the ticket, the guard stepped aside to let him pass.

After climbing the flight of stairs, he exited the staircase which led to the second floor of the nightclub. Straight ahead were two of the VIP booths. Another was on the opposite side of the hall, above the bar, and the other two were to his right. Turning to his right, he noticed a man standing guard next to an entrance at the far side of the hallway.

'Those must be the stairs to the third floor. Don't think there's gonna be tickets for this one.'

He walked up towards the guard.

"Hey man, do you work here?"

The man looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"I think there's a fight going on down there. Shouldn't you stop them?"

"Not my problem, kid."

"Oh? Why not? Isn't it a bouncer's job to break up fights?"

"My job is to stop nosy idiots like you from going places that they shouldn't be entering. Now scram."

"Oh… "

Riley walked away, a dejected look on his face.

'That just confirms that the office is through those stairs. Now, how do I get past this guy? Based on what he said, he's probably not going to budge. Do I just take him out and lock him in a toilet cubicle?

Riley looked around.

'Not a soul in sight. If I'm going to attack, now's my chance.'

He turned around and started walking back towards the guard.

"Oh by the way, I have another question. Do you know where the male toilets are? I must have had too much to drink."

"Look kid, beat it. I'm not budging from this spot. It's not my problem if you piss your-"

Before the guard had finished his sentence, Riley materialized his bat with <Quick Draw> and swung. The strike hit him in the stomach with such force that the guard crumpled onto the floor, instantly fainting. Putting his bat back into Inventory, Riley quickly picked up the guard and started carrying him toward the male toilets, which were just around the corner opposite one of the VIP booths.

'God I hope there's nobody in there.'

Just before he turned the corner, [Sense Danger] buzzed.

'Shit!'

He quickly turned his head around to check behind him. However, there was no one there.

'Huh? Wait, maybe…'

He peaked around the corner, and saw someone exiting the toilets.

'Oh, that explains it. If [Sense Danger] hadn't alerted me, that guy would've seen me carrying this body around.'

He put the body down.

'I should scout ahead first.'

He jogged over to the toilet door and walked in. It was completely empty.

'Perfect.'

He hurried back to the unconscious guard and carried him into one of the toilet cubicles. Using the rope and tape from his inventory, he bound and gagged the guard. To complete the illusion, he closed the cubicle door and used a coin to turn the lock from the outside.

'Now for the office.'

He made his way toward the staircase and climbed the stairs. At the top, there was a shut door which reeked of cigarette smoke. Riley placed his ear on the door to see if he could make out any noise.

"Man, I'm bored to death. Why does the boss want so many guys around anyway? If the police tried anything our contact would let us know."

"Shit, I couldn't stop laughing when I heard the news. So much time and money wasted and they got nothing out of it."

"Right? We had all the time in the world to move everything out. Three shipments of guns and ammo to our downtown warehouse."

At this point, a third voice chipped in.
