The Righteous Minecrafter in Danmachi(Wishfulfillment)

Raphael aspired to be a righteous one, someone with principles, someone that people would look up to and try to imitate. He wanted to live a life he wouldn't regret and honestly, it has gone pretty well for him. He has become a role model for his peers and younger relatives. Someone a mother would say to her child to be like. A helpful and kind man who wanted to do good. Nevertheless, the universe tends to give its harshest trials to the best of people. His wife died soon after he married her, he lost his job(not because of some petty boss but because of an economic crisis), and no one could help him for everyone had it as bad at the moment. Still, he never gave up his righteous aspirations and like in his dreams, died a heroic death. But is this the end of him?

Buying land

"Next Please" was heard in the guildhall at regular intervals. Raphael had finished his registration at the gate and got to proceed without any problems although the passersby gave him strange looks wherever he was. (I'm already tired of writing about how it's because of Azrel)

Anyway, as a first destination, he went to the guild to register as a permanent citizen. What he did at the gate was to register as a temporary citizen. Raphael noted that the guild seemed a bit underwhelming in appearance compared to the enormous importance it holds in the city but chose to ignore that and entered after tying Azrel outside.

Now that he was going by himself, he was not as auspicious and looked more like a normal knight except for how expensive his armor and sword looked. Some people gave him short glances and admired his armor but continued with their things just as fast. Even if they wanted to do something they wouldn't do it here in the guild, plus Raphael didn't look like a pushover.

While looking at the unevenly distributed lines, Raphael felt that these adventurers were a bit strange. Although Eina was a bit naggy and asked many questions didn't it feel good when someone in a city like Orario cared so much for you? He went up to the empty window while faintly shaking his head.

"Good day, Mr. What are you here for today?" Eina spoke calmly while looking Raphael up and down.

"I've just come to Orario and want to register as a permanent resident. Oh, and I also want to buy land" he answered.

"To register as a permanent resident you need to pay a registration fee and just give me your papers. To buy land though is not as easy for it costs much more." Eina informed while somewhat surprised that Raphael wanted to buy land.

"I'm not complaining but why so easy?" Raphael asked her. Doesn't it usually take many months to get permanent citizenship? And don't you need to have lived in the place for some time too first?

"People are constantly immigrating into Orario so it's no wonder. Why restrict access to the city if it brings such an economic boon?" she answered after which she took the papers form Raphael and told him to wait a bit.

In a short while, she came back and gave back the papers with a stamp on them signifying permanent citizenship and congratulated him. "Congratulations sir, now, let us proceed with buying the land. Which area would you like to purchase?". She unfolded a map of Orario and asked Raphael to choose.

"How much does this place cost?" he asked while pointing at a certain place in Daedalus Street.

Eina, unsure of how much Raphael knew about that district warned him "Are you sure Sir? I don't want to destroy your idea of the "center of the world" but even this place has its bad side".

"I'm sure, just give me that plot of land and the rest will be up to me," he answered without any hesitation. The place he chose was near Maria orphanage but it was an empty plot of land on which he planned to build his own house.

"Alright then, but even if it's there it won't be cheap. Shouldn't be a problem for someone with your status though" She hinted at him being some wealthy aristocrat with fake documents.

Raphael didn't dismiss her guess and only smiled with his helmet in hand. Soon, the papers for the plot of land were also finished and he barely had any valis left, only 10k.

'It cost so much even though it's not too big and it's in the slums' Raphael felt that his heart was bleeding after becoming rich and then poor again in a day but he would surely earn more in the future so he gritted his teeth and finished the signature.

"Now that everything's done, what do you plan to do Mr? I'm Eina, by the way, Eina Tull, what's your name? Not often do we get here someone in full armor from the get-go" she started her barrage after the business was done.

"My name's Raphael, and it's just that I like walking around in armor. I think it looks cool, don't you agree? he had always wanted to wear such armor but could never fulfill his dream in his previous world but now that he's here and has the chance then why not?

"Phahahaha, yeah, I guess you're right. Sorry for laughing, it's just that there are not many people who look as intimidating as you but are so casual, especially with a beard like that. I like that contrast though." she said while laughing a little, her mood improved.

"Glad to hear that but I need to go so see you around. Oh yeah, here, have a cookie." He smiled even wider and went out after placing a cookie on the table.

'Wow, I have never tasted such a delicious sweet before' Eina chewed happily on the cookie left by Raphael. 'If only more people could be like him. I would spare so much money on food' she dreamed and called for the next non-existent person in line.

________________________________________

Raphael was in front of his plot of land.

People in ragged clothes around looked at him strangely but didn't dare to come near and Raphael didn't bother with them right now either. It is time to build his own house. He took out some blocks from his inventory and noticed that he could use two different mods. He could either build the perfectly 1 cubic square block or he could use the same volume to model into any shape.

'Hmm, why not open a bakery as the guard said? Seems interesting enough too.' it was a joke at first that he would open up a bakery but he was seriously wondering about the feasibility of the idea now.

First of all, he closed all of his territory with tall fences. People will surely see him materializing it out from nowhere but it's much better than building the whole house like that.

Next, he used oak planks and a wood-themed palette to build the walls and floor. The front part will be the bakery where customers can enter the front part where there is a register with the future displays of the food. There are small tables surrounded by couches too for those who need to sit while waiting for their order. They can drink tea or eat right there if they want although there's not too much space there. Two windows surrounded the front door to invite some sunlight into the front part.

Then there's a door behind the register which leaves into the bakery itself. A stone brick oven connected to a chimney and everything one would need for a bakery. He took out some resources and placed them into different cabinets he placed around. Many of these pieces of furniture were from certain smaller mod packs and addons and added taste to his house. He also added decorations outside and made a nice roof for it. It came up to a small little bakery

Next, he added another house to the back side of the bakery where he would live. It will be a two-story house where most of his normal creating tools will be located. The second floor will be the living quarters. He made two bedrooms, a master bedroom, a kitchen, and a living room where one would also eat.

At last, he made a basement that would be his true base. Here, he will practice using his mod packs and make experiments. He also planned to make many branches leading to this basement that would lead elsewhere. For instance, if he so wishes and creates one of the nuclear plants from let's say industrial craft, then he will build it far away from Orario and deep underground to prevent it from destroying half of Orario if it accidentally explodes. He will just use wires to link it back to the house and give him many conveniences but that will be far in the future.

For now, he dug several levels and closed them up with several sticky piston mechanisms that only he knew how to activate. He dug down for several hundred meters until he started expanding it into a huge cave which he illuminated with torches everywhere. He will later build energy-generating mechanisms and make proper lighting.

He placed down the working bench and checked his JUI where he saw an exclamation mark. It was an item from none of his mods, a notebook named Danmachi Introduction. Its craft was pretty easy with only a bit of paper and feathers and after putting them on the table it was done.

He carefully opened the book and started reading

"Welcome to the world of Danmachi Raphael. You can do whatever you want so just think of this as your new reality.

Anyway, this book's goal is to explain some Minecraft-related mechanics and how they will work in reality. First of all, all the mods are now compatible and you can slowly explore ways to use them. They are not limited anymore by some code. Let's take magic in thaumcraft for example. The magic you can infuse into your focus(which activates magic) is much more versatile. It's not just different types of attacks anymore but can help in defense and even in daily life. The prerequisite is that you first research and find the new things you can do so don't limit yourself and go all out.

Just know that if you're low on some resourses that you didn't care to store in your game can be accessed if you make a portal to the minecraft world. You can create all the portals that you could create in minecraft with all mods included(The portal to overworld is made the same way as the nether portal except it's made of earth).

P.S. If certain conditions are met, you can gain hints/help from this notebook.

P.P.S. This is the only item you'll be able to craft like this. Everything else will actually need skills which you have gained through your character anyway."

Raphael looked a bit perplexed. 'Who sent me here? Or actually, does it even matter? I have gained a new life where I can fulfill my dreams and do all kinds of cool stuff. What more could I ask for?' he thought despite the slight uneasiness. He was trying to encourage himself and due to many experiences, it didn't take too much. Yes, ofcourse this was something completely out of league from his previous experience but you know what? The more he lived, the more Raphael understood that he felt numb to changes. Not in the way of it being easy to adapt to it, no. It's hard sometimes but what doesn't bother him anymore is why it's happening. He just wants to enjoy.

Lets think about the first time a child sees snow and seasons changing. It's so exhilarating for them. But slowly, the exclamation of "Wow, its snow!" becomes "Oh, it's snowing again". Raphael had learned to accept the changes from the most mundane and more and this does not need to be an exception. Maybe his minecraft characters skills are affecting him too.

"Alright, enough of these depressing thoughts, time to think of a plan." Rahale hit his cheeks with his palms and started pondering. What does he want to do in this world? Creating a bakery is one. Then probably going to the dungeon too right? But Raphael doesn't like the idea of accepting a so called "god". In his opinion, God, is someone omnipotent, omnipresent, and above all shackles. God has always existed but he was never born. That's what God is, not these poor excuses in Orario. He sees them as often too horny powerful people that think that they are above everything meanwhile there's so much that's outside their control.

Raphael with his mods is definitely as strong if not stronger that any one of them so there's no need to bow down. Being friends with some is no problem though. Now the question arises, how to get into the dungeon if it's illegal to enter it without a "gods" falna? 'I can probably dig through to it' Raphael started devising a plan. He even plans to set up several "safe zones" in the dungeon to trade and gather resourses with the help of adventurers. He can also provide several services for them. But he would not reveal himself either way until he wanted to.

Laslty, he wants to help people, people that deserve and seek for help. Now that he has the power, he will try to slowly help more and more people and maybe even recruit them... 'Wait a little, CAN'T I CREATE MY OWN FAMILIA!?' Raphael got a thunderous idea. 'Hmm, doesn't it require divinity or something? I'll need to research that with some of the magic mods like thaumcraft which has the very convenient inspection device "thaummometer". Or I can just reach the end of the dungeon and gain the so called "divinity" there as the legends here say.'

This was far into the future though.

A Bakery? Here? Since when?
