The Renown Almakhadie

In the year of 2060, a billion people eagerly joined a cutting-edge virtual reality game that mirrored real life. However, after logging in, they discovered a shocking truth: they couldn't log out. This wasn't a glitch but a deliberate feature, plunging the game into chaos. The only ways to escape were to beat the game, die in the virtual world, or take their own lives, risking death in reality. Amidst this turmoil, a unique young boy, who seemed misplaced in this world, stood out. Driven by an insatiable thirst for power since childhood, he possessed immense knowledge, strength, and survival skills. This story delves into the challenges faced by someone with unparalleled capabilities in a foreign world and explores the contrast between ordinary individuals, some confined to their rooms, and someone who has honed themselves to be the most capable and strongest. In this unforgiving virtual realm, life took on a brutal and unpredictable nature. The contrast between the ordinary, civilized life they once knew and the harsh reality of a world teeming with monsters was stark. Normal concerns were replaced by constant vigilance, as any moment could bring peril or the loss of a loved one. The once-comfortable routines of everyday life were shattered, replaced by the relentless struggle for survival. Gone were the days of secure homes and predictable schedules. Now, every step held the potential for a life-or-death encounter with the monstrous inhabitants of this digital realm.

Second Punishment

He didn't know how long he was unconscious for. Velios still felt light headed, but when he tried to stand up, nothing happened. He couldn't move. He tried to stand up again and again and again, but nothing happened. The fatigue had finally come back to haunt him once he was out of the game. The only time he took a "break" since he had started, the first break since an entire week ago. Every muscle fiber of his was aching and just hurting. Just because Velios was used to pain and accustomed to it doesn't mean that he didn't feel anything. It was pain he was used to, but pain to the extreme and further. If a bear, just as a situation, were to come towards him, Velios wouldn't be able to defend himself even a little. He would be either ripped to shreds and left gravely injured or in the worst possible scenario, die.

This was one of the situations he could relate to back in his old life, the normal world. Velios was climbing a cliff out in the wild, he fell down about halfway and was immediately winded and out of breath. He somehow only managed to suffer a concussion, a few broken ribs and a broken arm. He was laying there completely defenseless, hoping that no one would find him. That was one of his lowest points in life according to him. He kept on laying there on the ground and just kept on thinking about his life up to now. I haven't felt this pathetic in a while now have I? And I was so close to completing it too. If I keep on training now, I'll probably just get worse results every time due to my fatigue. Fuck! I was so fucking close! How long am I even going to be stuck like this for? If only I could train right now. Velios was so tired he simply didn't care about his emotions, he just let all kinds of thoughts run over his head. But something didn't feel quite right to him, not that there was anything bad going on, Velios just became confused. Why do I not remember why I started playing this game?

What did I want to gain by doing this? I'm actually kind of lucky to now be stuck in this game with all of this added to life. It's not like I thought life was boring. Maybe I was interested in what normal people occupy themselves with? I mean, that does kinda sound like me. But I don't think that would be enough. All of this is just making me more confused than I already was. He kept on sighing, he always had that bad habit of just thinking until he came up with something else to think about. Those small things probably added up to hours in a certain time frame. As he was staring up at the sky through the big hole created from all of the trees having fallen down, he kept on thinking about it. I've never really played any games since I was a small child. All my life, I've been viciously chased and I didn't even know what existed in the real world until fairly recently... But doesn't this seem oddly realistic? There is virtually nothing in this "game" visually that would make it a game in most ways, it was way too realistic. It almost seems that there would be a reason I couldn't log out, even if I was to somehow beat the game at a later date. It was almost as if I somehow slowly started losing connection with my old world, as if it was something unreachable. But it's probably just another one of my weird thoughts as usual. He couldn't help but fall asleep yet again, he was too tired. At that point he just hoped to be untouched after waking up again. That was all.

What felt like a few minutes had passed, he opened his eyes but yet again found that he could only barely move. Even the muscles in his neck were hurting enough to be almost useless. Velios' breathing had seemed to calm down somewhat but he still felt like he needed to gasp for air. He needed something to eat, and desperately. In his current state, he probably couldn't kill something like a bird or a rabbit. He had then realized that he might have pushed himself a little too far, maybe.

"C'mon body, move! Move dammit!" Velios found himself struggling even getting up to a sitting position. His muscles would either cramp really badly or refuse to work completely. Almost as if they decided to shut off. All he really could do was lay down and rest until his body was capable of moving. Until then he had all the time in the world to think about what he was going to do, strategise and overall just think about the possibilities.

For over an entire hour he just laid on the cold soft dirt looking all around his menu, at his skill tree and stats. He tried to brainstorm a bunch of ideas but most of them were close to impossible with his current limitations but still possible options for the future if he were to gain the necessary requirements. If Velios were to think in the regular speed of humans, he would have got basically nowhere in comparison. His thinking had become so fast and effective it was utterly ridiculous. From careful thinking he had come up with two very important rules in the game that worked in his favor. He could get any skill as high as possible without stopping, basically that there is no limit, at least currently. Also the fact that the skills in this game are probably infinite. Everything you do gives an amount of experience, no matter how small or big to that specific stats.

What he didn't realize is that his food depleted body couldn't really handle thinking too much and since his body already was tired, that threshold is much smaller compared to usual. His eyes were already starting to fall shut, he probably couldn't stay awake for much longer, which was true. In no time less than a minute, Velios had fallen asleep again which would hopefully give him time to rest and recuperate. Yet again, the only thing he could hope for, was to not get attacked while sleeping and to be fully rested by the time he woke up.
