Numerical Disadvantage

Vadh couldn't help but be curious. Velios had just come back from training on his own to tell him and Kaala that he now had sufficient mana to summon the monster, which was allegedly stronger than the inferior dragon he had shown before. Vadh knew that whatever it was that was going to come out from the circle of mana was something that he had to get stronger than, no matter what it takes. Suspense was being built up by every single second the magic circle was up with nothing happening. Vadh could sense the flow of mana rapidly being poured in and consumed by whatever was being summoned. Even the sand around the magic circle on the ground started flying around in circles in the air from the massive amounts of energy that were being used.

Vadh stepped back in intimidation from the magnificent creature that rose from the ground. A creature, a monster that could be seen as perfect compared to the likes of mere intelligent monsters. A monster with even more total mana than Ajagar, even after her evolution. Even the monster just standing there was enough to completely scare Kaala away. Vadh knew instantly from just looking at it. He had no chance to beat it. Vadh could probably not even land a single attack on it if both of them battled with their fullest power. A monster so powerful that Vadh literally froze in fear. As Vadh watched the monster in front of them breathe its first breath of air after its defeat, he caught Ajagar bowing down on one knee before it.

"Huh? I'm alive? Wo ho, this might be my lucky day!" The monster in question was the superior dragon Velios had killed before killing Ajagar. "Missed me?" Velios was standing behind the superior dragon watching as it was scared senseless from seeing Velios, the human with enough power to kill it. "Hello. Do you want to fight again?" Velios knew that the best way to show dominance is to determine who is the strongest. The superior dragon knew exactly what Velios was trying to say, but he knew that he would just die again. He looked down on the ground in front of him to see one random monster he had never seen before and a monster which he thought he knew but whose appearances confused him. "You're..." "My new name is Ajagar. I also have a new master; he's also really strong and reliable." Ajagar was smiling as she said that.

"Wait, so you're not here to kill me?" The superior dragon kept on showing his emotions. He was scared. The aura which Velios emitted was so terrifyingly powerful that not even a single thought of rebellion crossed the superior dragon's mind. Velios realized that he now had two valuable monsters that he could use to further advance his training. The first thing Velios wanted to do was to fight every single one of them. Kaala, Vadh, Ajagar, and the superior dragon. Velios wanted to fight all of them at the same time. "Listen, guys! Everybody get ready! For the people who land a single hit, I will grant you a wish as long as it is within my command. You guys can start any time!" Vadh and Kaala were experienced at fighting Velios, so they got in their own stances directly. The superior dragon and even Ajagar were super confused. "He wants us, two superior dragons, a black scorpion, and an intelligent monster to fight him, a human at once? And we'll get a reward if we land a single hit on him? Is he stupid?" The superior dragon sounded full of himself even after seeing how strong he was in the battle earlier. "I wouldn't say that if I were you. You might anger him."

The fight had begun. The superior dragon and Ajagar were still uncertain on what to do. They didn't fully think that Velios meant what they said. Because of this, Vadh and Kaala were the first to take action. They both rushed to their own respective striking ranges as quickly as possible. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to land an attack. But the two of them were slow. Very slow. From Velios's perspective, it was like time itself started slowing down because of the immense speed he was able to move and think in. "Let's have some fun, shall we? Physical enhancement... what are the limits? Strictly applying mana to the outside of the body? No! The true essence of physical enhancement, of magic is that there is no limit except for the limits you place on oneself. So far, the most I've been able to do is to apply mana to the fibers of the bone and muscle in my body, applying mana wherever necessary to make up for added strain. What if I control the temperature in my body? Can I take it even further? Oh, this is so exciting!"

Vadh couldn't even react; his target, Velios, had disappeared but to where. Out of nowhere, Velios had appeared as quickly as he had vanished directly below Vadh's field of view, punching him with his palm landing directly on the stomach of the running Vadh. The power was so immense that individual strands of muscle broke, bones shattered, and both skin and blood flew everywhere as the proud and strong Vadh was blown to pieces by a single attack, reduced to nothing but the blood that still remained. Velios was not done yet. The two superior dragons froze in terror as they watched his show of power. Kaala was the only one that stood unfazed. That still meant that Kaala was extremely terrified, but he also knew that one of the most important things in battle, according to Velios, is to never falter during battle and to never be nervous or overthink.

Velios had moved even faster this time, appearing under the black scorpion, launching a single powerful punch launching the giant black scorpion into the air, shattering almost every single bit of the hard exoskeleton. Velios was doing all of this with a smile on his face. The two superior dragons rushed to attack Velios when he was distracted. Even with their own immense speed, they easily got outmatched. "Don't let your guard down." Ajagar didn't turn around quickly enough. Velios had appeared behind her as if he was teleporting, punching her over and over, chasing her flying body after every hit while showing mercy. Ajagar was unable to do anything as she was kicked, punched, and flung around. In a desperate attempt to land an attack, Ajagar released a huge amount of fire-infused mana so that Velios wouldn't be able to get close. Little did she know that it was going to backfire. "Don't you know... what happens to the body when it rapidly changes from super hot to super cold?!"

"Huh?" She felt her body cool down. She could barely feel anything before she had died. Massive spikes of ice had suddenly burst out of her body, freezing it completely. Velios needed only a weak punch to blow her body of ice to pieces, killing her. The only monster left, the superior dragon had now completely frozen in terror. How would I ever kill a monster like that? he thought. Velios kept the mana up, circulating it throughout his whole body. The superior dragon could see Velios' mouth move but he did not know if Velios was talking to him or himself. Velios was slowly walking towards the monster, much slower than the average person would normally walk. "Hey, vermin. Did I hear you say something before the battle?" Velios' mana output increased again, and the superior dragon was afraid to answer at all, knowing that both a yes and a no would lead to the same result.

Velios disappeared from the superior dragon's sight again. The dragon found himself getting kicked in the back of the head. Then he got punched in the gut, kicked to the side of his head, and then kicked on his legs. Even without the overwhelming strength and use of mana, Velios was still far superior in terms of experience and technique. Velios could have easily finished the battle with one attack, but Velios didn't want to. What would be the fun in that? Velios was so overwhelmingly strong that he didn't know what to do. His every attack was with a purpose: throwing him off balance, making him less agile, and torturing him. He even saw what Velios had done to Ajagar. Her fire was completely ineffective. It was as if the source of Velios' ice had come not from himself, like magical attacks usually do, but directly within her. But it's not like logic often applies to Velios.

With a sudden burst of more mana, Velios did all he could with what he had left. He focused extremely to do what he had just done. Velios made his mana denser, more fierce. He focused on supplying mana to every single individual fiber of muscle and bone, every tendon, and every single individual part of his body that was now being boosted by immense amounts of mana. This would immediately burn out a normal person, but Velios made sure to cool off his entire body with every spare bit of mana he intentionally left behind. "This is your end. Witness power you will never achieve and die."

Velios was so fast that it looked like he had vanished completely. Even for a superior dragon, superior to many different beasts and monsters, it reigns supreme. But in the face of Velios, in the face of overwhelming power and presence, what could he do if he couldn't even keep track of Velios' movements? The last attack followed shortly after. Velios took the dragon out with a single remaining punch to the gut. It looked like the dragon had exploded from within. The organs and blood flew everywhere, and the shockwave was so powerful that it blew everything close to the attack away, creating a massive crater in the ground while also taking out a huge chunk of the sand behind them, creating a cylindrical hole stretching through the other side of multiple massive dunes of sand. The winner of the four versus one battle between the strongest monsters of Velios against their master, the one who reigned victorious, was no other than Velios.
