The Renown Almakhadie

In the year of 2060, a billion people eagerly joined a cutting-edge virtual reality game that mirrored real life. However, after logging in, they discovered a shocking truth: they couldn't log out. This wasn't a glitch but a deliberate feature, plunging the game into chaos. The only ways to escape were to beat the game, die in the virtual world, or take their own lives, risking death in reality. Amidst this turmoil, a unique young boy, who seemed misplaced in this world, stood out. Driven by an insatiable thirst for power since childhood, he possessed immense knowledge, strength, and survival skills. This story delves into the challenges faced by someone with unparalleled capabilities in a foreign world and explores the contrast between ordinary individuals, some confined to their rooms, and someone who has honed themselves to be the most capable and strongest. In this unforgiving virtual realm, life took on a brutal and unpredictable nature. The contrast between the ordinary, civilized life they once knew and the harsh reality of a world teeming with monsters was stark. Normal concerns were replaced by constant vigilance, as any moment could bring peril or the loss of a loved one. The once-comfortable routines of everyday life were shattered, replaced by the relentless struggle for survival. Gone were the days of secure homes and predictable schedules. Now, every step held the potential for a life-or-death encounter with the monstrous inhabitants of this digital realm.

No Longer Cursed

Velios was still contemplating killing them, even as they began attacking. The girl who had attacked Velios before seemed out of it, knowing that she couldn't do anything to Velios. She even tried to warn them to be careful, but no one in the room could hear what she was saying. Velios was still sitting quietly in place until he felt a sudden burst in the concentration of mana around him. Velios was quick to jump away before spikes of ice came rushing up through the ground, appearing as if they had come from nothing. Velios had eventually caught onto something special about the dragons he was facing, something unique. Ragaja and Ajagar had both told him that dragons are born with the attribute of fire and can't really wield any other magic, at least not efficiently. These dragons, however, not a single one of them seemed to be using fire. But it did not look intentional. One of them couldn't stop emitting coldness from her body that forced her own movements to be slow and sloppy. Anyone that was too close started freezing immediately.

The girl who Velios had fought previously had a similar problem. That girl had no control over her mana, which caused the poison to act out of control. She was also dressed in extremely thick clothing which seemed to be somewhat resistant to her mana. After even more careful observation while fighting, Velios had come to a conclusion. What the dragons had experienced, what their own mana was... it was probably cursed or close to it. Velios didn't know that much about dragons, but he knew that something was innately wrong. Dragons shouldn't even possess other magic types except for fire, but out of all the six dragons present, not a single one showed any signs of possessing fire. Out of all the people that had attacked him so far, he only knew four of their magic types: poison, ice, strengthening, and wind magic. Velios found one of them also covered in an extreme amount of clothing, and the last one with a mask covering the face, standing completely still, watching as the fighting continued.

At best, they only had small control over their powers if any. They looked like children the way their powers got in the way of themselves. The wind magic was powerful, but it was only a strong breeze which hadn't been condensed so it had no slicing effect. Even his body couldn't withstand it as his footwork and balance interfered in every attack as he almost fell every time. The ice magic was powerful, but the accuracy was really bad and it affected the user too much. The guy with strengthening magic was really powerful but didn't have any mana manipulation at all. He would hurt himself every time he threw a punch, and the poison girl's poison was ineffective, and her dagger skills weren't all that impressive. Is this really a gang of feared criminals, or do I have the wrong people? I think Vadh could beat most of them as long as he used mana. They don't look like they are used to working in teams, and none of their attacks have landed. They're probably more of the assassin type when it comes to battle. They are strong and capable individually but they lack even the most basic mana manipulation.

"Too scared to attack, are you?!" One of the guys was bold enough to shout at Velios, mocking him as all he was doing was dodging and observing any type of attack they've made. Velios had thought about leaving them alone for a while, showing them mercy basically. Velios had been so bored since he realized that the bunch of feared criminals was nothing special. If anything, Velios would rather help them grow stronger or just kill them right away. Velios didn't have any feelings for things such as monsters, even though some of them act human. Velios had his two options, but he was going to choose the latter. As soon as the next dragon had attacked, the dragon with the wind magic, Velios launched forward with high enough speed that no one could have noticed it in advance. Velios grabbed the guy directly on the face, across his cheeks before slamming him into the closest wall leaving the dragon barely conscious. "Leon!" A girl's voice could be heard from behind, but it did not bother him as he kept on smashing him into the wall.

Out of nowhere, Velios started using so much mana at once that the aura around him started crushing the flat stone walls. The others were scared for their friend, but they didn't even know if he was alive anymore. They also had no idea what Velios was actually doing. What Velios was doing was something not even he had done before, something he didn't even know if it would work, but he tried anyway. He was basically giving and forcing Leon's body to accept Velios' mana that was coming from the outside. Not only did Velios increase the amount of mana in Leon's body, but he also improved the circulation and stability of it. At least that was the desired effect he had hoped for. Velios wouldn't actually know for sure until after Leon would wake up. "Damn you!" Another female voice could be heard from just behind him before heaps of ice spikes came rapidly from the ground and walls but were only slightly more accurate than before. Velios could easily dodge them but he was not ready for what was about to happen. "Slash!" The guy who had been completely quiet screamed out a random word and the next thing that happened was that an arm was flying through the air.

Velios could definitely feel it, and he could not hide the pain. Velios was sure that he had a layer of mana protection, even if it was a small one. How did he...? I couldn't see any cut from him or a spell. Wait... is he using sound magic?! Velios was spot on in his guess but it was made far too obvious after that same guy started coughing up blood and how he couldn't talk properly anymore. Velios could just use magic to bring the arm to him and temporarily attach it while using advanced healing on himself to speed up the healing process. The pain was only minor, and he had experienced much worse before. The sound magic user had taken far too much damage because of himself due to his lack of control over his magic. But Velios and the sound user weren't the only ones that had to suffer. The sound magic was so out of control that it had hurt one of his teammates, the ice woman specifically. "AHH!" A scream of solid pain could be heard from her as she had suffered the same pain with her arm also having been sliced off.

After having fully reattached his arm with the help of massive amounts of mana, Velios kicked the ice dragon in the face before doing the exact same thing that he had done to Leon. Forcing in massive amounts of mana in circulation so that their body could handle their powers. The other dragons were completely unable to land an attack on Velios. The ice dragon's arm was still severed, and she herself was unconscious, but her arm had already begun to heal. Her ice powers already look to be more under control. Even her blood circulation and muscles are a lot warmer already. It's still so shocking to see just how fast they regenerate. I guess they are still monsters after all. I'll just have to take care of that guy. "Guys! Don't worry, I'll heal you!" The last girl obviously seemed to possess some kind of healing ability, but Velios could also sense it, the instability of her mana. Still, he had other stuff to do before knocking her out. "Sto-" Velios punched the sound magic dragon in the gut before he was able to finish his sentence. Velios grabbed him by the neck and threw him into the wall before punching him once more.

Velios continued to punch and kick down anyone who stood before him, but the hardest part for him was to hold back enough so that they would only faint. They might have broken a few bones, but I think they would rather be alive. Velios would only continue imbuing his own mana into their bodies after having defeated them, and after a very short while, everybody had officially been defeated by Velios. As he was standing there over the bodies of the defeated dragons, he would only proceed to heal them of their injuries with still enough mana to spread out from his own body to cover every single one of them. The last thing he would proceed to do was to think a single and last thought. Hope I get to fight them later.
