Chapter 11

Not heeding her family's warnings, Sasha inched closer to the glowing, vibrating stone. Before her hand made contact with it she began to levitate from the ground.

The dew on the moss covering the floor floated up around her and began to swirl. Every color on the spectrum laser beamed the twine covered walls as Sasha's parents looked on.

Her body embraced the effects of the stone as her hand fully grasped it.

Sasha looked to her family with a smile, a powerful enlightened smile. She pointed to her brother and with her mind she managed to flip his hair from his forehead and make it spikey. Oh, and green, neon green.

Her father, who has always suffered from migraines, instantly felt a weight lifted from his shoulders.

Let's not forget about mom. She got a special present. She received a huge sense of self confidence and felt the power of the Earth pulsing through her. She was one with nature. It was always her favorite thing.

Terry absolutely enjoyed bird watching, yardwork, hiking, and spending the day at the beach. Now all those experiences would be heightened.

As the powers of the stone went through the family and instilled itself in each one an odd sound could be heard from upstairs.

Sasha gained control of the levitating and trotted towards the stairs to gain access to the upper level of the refined shed.

The rustling sound grew louder the closer Sasha got to the now pearl handrails. Prior to the surprising transformation, those handrails were splinters waiting to happen.

Climbing the stairs slowly, "Hello? Is that you Sherlock?"

Sasha wasn't feeling fear. She was incapable of that emotion. Her curiosity was leading the way and was insatiable.

Hearing no response and dying on the inside to know what was up there urged her up the stairs faster.

As she touched the crest of the stairs, her brain exploded (not really). It was a whole new world. She could see for miles as her shoes imprinted in the sand.

Sasha was on an island. The waves crashed soothingly. The palm trees swayed to the wind. A gorgeous bush began to rustle against the wind. Something was in it.

Her eyes didn't deceive her, what she saw was real and it was glorious.
