The Rebirth System!

In the city of Primos, power is everything. In a world of humans with magical ‘abilities’, the strong survive and thrive, while the frail are left to suffer. Either you are born with a strong ability and you’re given the world. Or you are born a regular human, and you are given nothing. You have nothing. You are nothing. Brandyn Santiago, a regular-born citizen of Primos, is forced to endure the demoralising life in Primos and unsurprisingly, he isn’t able to keep his life through the brutal torture from the demonic beasts of the higher social classes. However, he is given another chance. He is reborn with an ability and, now, he has the chance to finally enact his revenge on those who caused him so much torment and anguish!

Traumatic Memories

As he dropped down on Colbert, he cocked back his right hand to deliver a finisher slash and he vehemently growled as he got closer and closer to his target. Just like a predator and its prey, Colbert seemed defenceless. However, the prey sometimes has a trick up their sleeve.

Brandyn tried to deliver this slash but then, a bone erected from the sand out of no where.

*STAB*

The impaling of his abdomen made him shout and grunt in agony. Blood gushed from this wound and Brandyn was stopped right in his tracks. His head tilted down towards the bone and Colbert thought he had won, making him smirk uncontrollably.

"Grrr.."

Brandyn slowly lifted his head with his canines and teeth clearly showing. He gave off a low, rumbling growl and his eyes glowed even more than before, giving off a clear glow momentarily.

*slice*

Brandyn slashed his claws through the bone and severed it from his opponent's arm, grabbing it with one arm. The archdemon didn't even look at the wound and he simply pulled it directly out. The bloody hole in his stomach looked horrifying, with blood pouring profusely out of it.

"Yes! This is my chance!" Colbert thought, lifting his body to try and land a punch on Brandyn.

Before he even lifted his fist, the bone had pierced right through his lungs twice, impaling through his upper torso. He was stuck in place, almost shocked from the speed and brutality of his opponent. This stab hadn't been far off from even stabbing through his heart.

One final punch was all that was needed to make him lose consciousness. His brain rattled around in his head as he slowly fell, flopping his arms across the ground as he landed. Following him down to the ground, Brandyn threw an extra punch that snapped his nose in two. He then slammed the side of his fists into the man's chest, fracturing a rib in the process. The invigilator could clearly see that the fight had ended but this student continued to beat down and injure his opponent.

*whoosh*

Air swirled and wrapped around his body, forming an elegant aura. His hair flowed in the process and one of the men in a suit had charged for the student. His speed exceeded 70mph and in a fraction of a second, he was right beside this student, already gripping his ripped shirt.

"Stand down, kid." He affirmed boldly, pulling the archdemon's hand beside his back.

A simple handcuff completely stopped his movement but he continued to flail around and attempt to break out this fortified lock. Out of no where, the invigilator's flattened hand, which had been sped up with the help of a gush of wind, slammed into the side of his neck.

His vision suddenly shut down and so had his body, causing him to fall flat on his back.

The invigilator, with long and flowing dirty blonde hair, lifted him with a single arm and laid his motionless body across his shoulder.

"What a brutal match! It seems that the late bloomer, Brandyn Santiago is unable to control his power! I wonder if the origin of this power is genuine." The teacher said, as Brandyn was lifted to the medical team to be treated.

Suddenly, Brandyn jolted up and startled the medical crew with his movements.

"You good?" One of the agents asked, removing his black helmet.

"Uh.. yeah." He replied, shaking his head to try and wake himself up.

He felt lightheaded and almost numb in parts of his body, but what was truly noticeable was the throbbing patch of skin in his neck.

"Argh! What's that?! Did they inject me or something? No, it feels more like blunt damage instead of cutting damage." He noted in his chair, lifting up to leave.

His muscles were far larger than before, and he had a sharp jawline with vascularity in his biceps. If not for his clear weakness and infamy for such weakness, he would've been more attractive to the girls of the school.

"Thank you." He said to the doctor beside him, before exiting this room to return to the stands for the following match.

As he did so, he lifted his wrist to see that his former teammate, Aria, was up for her own match. He wasn't exactly sure who this next person was but he was confident in his teammate winning the match. She faired a much better match against Elias than he did against Clark, and she was also far stronger than him and Botan.

Some students, mainly the stronger ones, were disinterested in this match and made it their main mission to make sure everyone else knew this. Brandyn, seeing this toxicity almost in the air of the stands, thought back to his old, bothersome memories. Uncontrollably, clenched his fist and started to grow his claws into his own hand.

*drip*

*drip*

With a dampened face, he noticed the streams of blood dripping down his fist and he speedily cleaned the streams by trying to wipe it with his other hand.

However, both of his hands were now covered in his own blood. His eyes lighted up in their signature purple colour as he viewed his bloodied, clawed hands.

"These damn higher-ups! I might be weak now but just you wait! Your egos will burn with your bodies!"
