Insecure

Leah watched the men as they were burning, her gaze was on tyler whose attention was on them, she don't know how he did that, but the men were screaming in pain as the fire kept burning them.

She watched as he carried her in his arms, she couldn't utter a word for she knew she was wrong and yet he kept saving her each time she is in danger

"It's alright now, you will be fine"

He walked out still carrying her as the whole cottage burnt down to ashes

" Leah, are you alright?"

"Ty....ler....I. ...I. "

"You don't have to say a word leah" he said as he gently stroke her hair

Oh...there it is, he no longer call her wife but Leah! She hated it, she want to remain as his wife damn it!

"Ty.. let, let me---"

"No!" He bellowed as he interrupted her

"I almost loose you twice, because of my foolishness, am so sorry" he said while looking away from her

"I was wrong, I shouldn't have left"

"I show you a sight, a horrible sight which I have never shown anyone and now you are scared of me; you can't stay married to someone like me Leah, am a beast, you deserve to be with someone better and I don't think I can be that person, I burnt you last night in the presence of thousands and you almost got eaten by some creatures, and today you almost got raped by those men!" He sound hurt and in pain

He don't know why each word he utter break his heart to pieces, she could see he's hurting, she knew it!

He did thought she wanted to go back, he did hate himself but she won't allow that. She loved this man she do not care if he is a devil or not

She held his face as she stared into his eyes which held nothing but darkness and pain

"Am your wife and am never gonna leave you tyler, I love you so much and I don't wanna loose you, am sorry for my stupidity and lack of trust in you"

He blinked his eyes not knowing what to say, she pulled him close to her and kissed him

Did she just say she love him? Did he even deserve that after everything he did to her? Tyler was confused as he gently pulled away from her

"Don't you want to go back home?"

"This is my home"

"No the bitch is in your place there, you said you have people you love there"

"But I love you more baby, I would give up my world and the people there just to be with you"

He gently caress her chin as he stare at her, his face filled with emotions she couldn't describe

"I don't deserve it wife" he said bitterly

She did the first thing that comes to her mind, she hug him tightly against her without letting go

He sigh as he stroke her hair before encircling his arms around her

"I was scared, I thought I did loose you forever"

"Am alive thanks for saving my life "

"Am sorry I can't love you" he said

She felt her heart break into thousand pieces as she swallow hard before pulling away from him

"I think I need to freshen up" she said while avoiding his gaze as she walked away.

He knew he has hurt her but he is trying to protect her, he can't fall in love but he can't do without her

And how is he even sure if he is not too deeply in love with her, he knew he love her if not what could all this feelings be but he is afraid; afraid of watching the one love die before his eyes but he refused to let her go when he had to instead he kept praying for her to be single.

He went inside the chamber and found her in the bathtub, she was far in thought and didn't realize his presence there

"Wife"

She was startled as she stared at him in shock before looking away, he could see the pains in her eyes and how much she had cried

"What are you doing here? I want to be alone please" she said while staring at him with a pleading eye

He didn't listened to her, instead he bent down beside her and began to wash her hair, she sigh heavily as he kept stroking her hair while washing it

"I didn't mean to hurt you, am sorry but Leah... I..."

"Please don't say a word"

He gently caress her on her neck and down to the top of her breast as he kiss her ear before whispering

"Perhaps my body should do the talking" he said seductively, he grin when he heard her gasped for breath as his hands move down to her belly

"Stop!" she yelled helplessly

"I want you"

He carried her away from the bathtub as he roughly kissed her, she was trying to resist him but instead she melted in his arms

He roughly tossed his clothes away as he took her to the bed: he was kissing her so passionately when she pulled away

She can't let him want her body when he don't love her

"What's wrong wife?"

She stare down at his arousal before turning away as she angrily brush her tears away

"I no longer want us to get intimate tyler" she said bitterly despite knowing it would be difficult for her to resist him

He flinched at her statement as he stared at her in disbelief, he can't believe she is going to deprived him of his right

"It is better you send me back home, you have been right all along; it is better I leave"

He felt his heart stopped beating for a while as he stare at her sad face; he hate himself for making her sad

"Wi....fe"

"Please send me back" she pleaded in pain

"I....can..t"

She roughly grabbed him on his arms as she stare at him with tears filled eyes

"Why? Why can't you?"

He gently stroke her chin as he stare at her with a blank expression

"Am scared of losing you , if you leave I don't know what would become of me"

"Damn you" she said as she encircle her arms around him

She relax her head on his shoulder as she weep, he held her tightly around him as his heart break into thousand pieces; he knew he should have tell her how much he loved her but he couldn't bring himself to

He was scared for the first time in thousands years, he couldn't bare to see her die because of him, so it was best to avoid her by not professing his love to her even if it was so obvious. He decide to travel the following day, he bid leah goodbye, she turn away when he wanted to kiss her and he ended up kissing her on her cheek before leaving
