He knows

I screamed in fear when I felt someone behind me on the horse, I wanted to jump down but I got held by the person

"It's me Anne"

"T...yler" muttered in relief 

"Am sorry about everything"

"I should be the one apologising, I was wrong and am sorry"

Leah was waiting for Tyler, she saw him coming with Ariana on his horse, she could sense the change in atmosphere as the maids kept grumbling and muttering among themselves. She smiled as she ran towards them, Tyler helped Ariana down from the horse, he embrace his wife, he buried his face in her hair.

"Ariana are you okay? "

She could see the pain in her eyes as she nodded, she insist on following her to her chamber, she wondered where kellen was but she didn't bother to ask. She is sure that kellen would probably be with Nick.

"Ariana, are you okay?" 

"No, am not" crying, she held leah tightly when she hugged her

"Am not going to ask what happen but I will assure you that you are safe now, please don't cry"

"Thank you so much leah"

Am glad, she is beside Tyler even when others think he was a monster, she accept him and loved him unconditionally, she probably  knows am his sister that's why she have been protecting me, that's why she was never jealous.

"Why are you thanking me?" Confused 

"Because you are a good woman, am glad I met you"

"Am glad I met you too"

"What kind of man is Tyler?"

She wonder why Ariana is suddenly curious about Tyler

"Well, he is a man every woman want, he is a good leader, a great king, a lovable husband, he is just everything, I can't describe him, am too short of words"

"Doesn't he have a family?"

"About....that"

"Where are they?"

"They are somewhere far away from here"

"Where could that be?"

"I don't know"

Why am I even asking? 

Tyler would have find them by now, but what if he is not telling them who they are and choose to hide the truth from them.

That annoying brat!

"What's bothering you ?"

"Why did you risk it all to protect me back then"

"I know of someone who would be mad if you get hurt, that's why I had to protect you then and am glad I did"

Tyler 

It's none else but him

My beloved brother whom I love more than anything in the world 

"Le...ah, am scared" burst into tears

She encircle her arms around her and pat her back, assuring her everything will be alright but she shook her head

"No....leah..."

"Ari...."

"Look at this" show her the bruises

"Who did this to you?" Gasped in awe

She got up looking so irritated and ready to scold whosoever is responsible.

"Darius"

I felt my heart pounding so fast that I could hear it, what the hell is she talking about?

Darius! 

"What do you mean?"

"Darius is coming back to take away everything, am scared leah, what will happen to us?"

"Ariana" held her face

"I know everything leah, you don't have to keep deceiving me anymore"

"Am sorry"

"Don't tell my brother I know everything, it's better this way, I will fight Darius alone, afterall am the reason behind all this misfortune"

"Are you crazy, how can you fight that lunatic"

"I will learn to fight"

"Your brother will take care of everything"

"I won't destroy him in this life again"

"Snap out of it!" Yelled as she shook her "your brother will protect you now because he is very powerful, he loves you alot and will do anything to see you happy" added

"You did well wife"

They both went shocked seeing him by the door, leah felt sad seeing him looking so helpless as he stare at his sister

"How long have you been here?"

"Long enough to know Darius was responsible for those bruises on her hand"

"Ty...ler"

"Come here Anne" extend his hands

He pull her in a warm hug, she kept crying on his shoulders, she missed everything about them, she was so dumb not to know her own brother whose affection for her never fades

Leah excused them and went to her chamber, she was staring at herself in the mirror when she burst into tears, she is so happy that Ariana memories are finally back at the same time she is scared of Darius threat.

She kept scratching her neck when it suddenly began to itch her, staring at the mirror, she saw a mark her fingers left on her neck. She lay down on the empty bed, she had her dinner before falling asleep while waiting for Tyler 

He didn't return that night
