As I continued to think about who could've sabotaged the session, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," I apologized to the person I bumped into, who I just realized was Hank.

"It's alright, Jean," Hank said.

"I thought you were gonna be in your lab all day?" I asked curiously, but also in suspension because of what happened in the Danger Room and what the quest said.

I looked above Hank's head and calmed down when I saw his codename and level.

"I was, but I was told that something was wrong with the system in the Danger Room," Hank said.

"Oh, yeah, and sorry if you'll have to fix all the machines. I sort of went overboard," I said with a chuckle but stopped when I saw his confused face.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Uhh, bye," I said awkwardly as I speed walked by Mr. McCoy.

Once I was in my room, I sat on my bed in the lotus position as I decided I would try to work with my telepathy today and maybe get it to the advanced level. If I can't get it on my own, then maybe I'll ask the professor for help. Hopefully, this won't backfire on me.

I closed my eyes and let Gamers Mind turn off for a few, just in case it was the reason why I couldn't passively read people's thoughts. The minute I let that happen, my mind was bombarded with what felt like a thousand voices varying in different levels of sound and emotions.

I let out a scream as I held my head, feeling mental and emotional pains from all the voices in it, when suddenly a clear and calm voice entered my head and seemed to drown the other voices out.

"Focus on my voice, Jean," the voice said.

"Professor?" I asked as I did what the voice said.

"Yes, my dear," he said.

"What's happening? Why are everyone's thoughts coming in so fast and so loud?" I asked.

"It seems whatever mental block you had is gone now and you're finally getting intune with the passive part of our power, picking up stray thoughts that are on the surface level of the mind," Charles explained.

Realizing what he meant, I immediately put Gamers Mind back on, and everything was silent again.

[Ping!]

Knowing that sound by now, I opened up the notification to see what it is.

[Because of recent events, Gamers Mind has been upgraded to allow the host's passive abilities to come through with no negative effects]

[Gamers Mind has also been made unable to turn off anymore]

Before I could comprehend what just happened, a knock at my door drew my attention away from the screen.

"Come in," I said out loud.

The door opened, and Charles rolled in like I suspected.

"So, you want to tell me what's going on?" He questioned me.
