Chapter 6

I enter the cafeteria hungry as all can be. I walk over to the counter where Adenine is busy cooking as always. I knock on the counter and she stops what she's doing, not turning around.

"Well who could that be." She says, sarcastically, turning around, acting surprised. "My, my, look what the Wolf dragged in." she laughs, smiling a bright smile.

"Hello Adenine. I will have the usual as always." I say, smiling back. I watch as she turns back, grabbing a bowl, filling it up with what she was cooking.

"Here ya go Wolf. You sure like whatever I cook." She laughs, handing me the bowl of soup. I grab a spoon, dip it into the soup and take a bite.

"That's because it's always so good, besides it's always something new everyday." I say, turning around, and sitting down at the closest table. I quickly devour the soup and get up, giving the bowl to Adenine.

"I got to go rest, I just got done with magic casting classes with Mrs. Lavender." I say, yawning. She takes the bowl and gives me a sympathetic look.

"She can be a little rough with ya some days, others you will love her." she said, frowning for the first time that I've seen. She looks behind me and then turns away, going back to cooking. I turn around and watch as a young man, looking to be an earth mage and a senior by his robe. He was about six foot three, short black hair, icy blue eyes that could freeze you with one stare. He has a jeweled necklace around his neck. He walks up to the counter giving me the cold shoulder.

"Adenine, what monstrosities have you cooked up today?" He sneered, looking at her all menacingly.

"Try this Walter." She says, giving him a bowl of the soup she was busy cooking.

"I don't want that Sh*t, I want something expensive, like steak, or beef." He said, taking the bowl and throwing it into the kitchen. I felt power surge through me, along with anger unlike anything I have ever felt. Just a burning hatred. Someone screamed, and there was a thud. I looked at where Walter was but he was nowhere to be found. I look around and find him slouched back against a wall, knocked out from hitting the wall so hard. I am suddenly out of breath, panting, and dizzy. I collapse onto the floor not even paying attention to the way Adenine was watching me.

"Wolf? Are you alright?" She asks, coming out of the kitchen and crouching next to me holding my shoulders. I barley hear her, I could feel her warm and delicate hands on my shoulders. She was shaking me, worried. Twice in... one day... was too much... for me I guess. I think to myself slowly forming the thoughts. I look up and see Adenine crying.

"Adenine? Why... are you... crying?" I ask slowly, trying to move my hand to wipe her tears away. My arm barley moves, and instead I'm met with a burning heat. I can't move my arms! I think shocked as Adenine slowly looks me in the eyes.

"The reason you are like this is because of me. The rumors about me have gotten you hurt." She says, wiping her tears away.

"How is... this your... fault." I pant, closing my eyes, trying to do what Mr. Spooky said to do. I take deep breaths and calm my mind, searching. Soon I could see red orbs surrounding me. Red orbs are fire elemental right? I ask myself, starting to gather them into one area. It felt like I was trying to herd a bunch of dragons, them shooting flames at me to try and break free. Finally After a few minutes I had a huge red orb in front of me in my minds eye. I gathered it to me and felt my strength return.

"How is this your fault Adenine?" I say, opening my eyes and look at her. Her eyes were wide open in shock.

"What did you just do Wolf? I could feel heat emitting from you." She asked.

"I did what Mr. Spooky explained today." I said, standing up and walking over to Walter.
