chapter 3
sorry for the late chapter guys. I am busy with online classes so I will make a chapter every time I have some breaks.
you will see little tweaks in their personalities because i think i can't make them perfect like they were in the Ln and how many years has passed in overlord changed their personalities a bit. in the reviews give me some criticisms of how i could make my story go more smooth and flow better. big green caterpillars were still coming through that hellhole of an entrance. it looked like the whole floor was getting infested with it, they were destroying everything on the way. some of the expedition members were already seriously injured and the higher-level members of the Familia were being wary of the new comers while they were being pressured by the monsters. everyone was tense as they didn't know what the new comers wanted, if they wanted to kill the members of this expedition, they could do it with ease as they just needed to kill Riveria, because once she was killed, they wouldn't have a chance to retaliate against the monsters that could melt everything and would be overwhelmed by them and die.
"hey who are you and what do you want. just so you know if you want to take us down, we will not go down without a fight and take some down of you with us and after that, you will have trouble with the monsters that can even melt Adamantite. " a short man with blonde hair shouted like he was trying to scare the group that attacking them would not be a smart idea but what confused Finn was that the emblem they had was not of a top-rank Familia or a top assassin's Familia he knows and the Loki Familia has almost all the top-ranked Familia's information.
"no, we did not come with that sort of intention, we came here because our God told us to come and check what happened, because he sensed an abnormality happening in these floors. we are of the Ainz Ooal Gown Familia, and if you haven't heard of it, it is because we arrived a few days ago." the man in black armor responded as he looked towards the ocean of caterpillar that was coming towards them. " how about this, we temporary join hands and defeat the caterpillars that are attacking."
"ahh, who are you to tell us what to do!? are you sure you could even take down those caterpillars without that armor of yours melting, you are stupid if you think that armor will protect you. didn't you hear what captain told you or are you deaf, that caterpillar's acid could even melt adamantite and you still think you can fight it or are you dreaming." a busty brown colored answered as she heard what the man in armor said to her captain.
"Tione! be quiet, I will lecture you once we get out of this so be ready." Finn shouted Tione as he wanted to talk." ok we will join hands and buy time so that Riveria and lefiya can chant their spells for it to kill most of the monster and the ones left we will kill it. do you have any potions, we have a lot of injured members and our potions are already finished so if you have any please give us and when we return to the surface we will return it to you." Finn said as he pointed at two elves that had magic wands and then asked for potions and pointed at the severely injured members that were laid down.
"Lupusregina and solution you two will use your skills and heal them, along with sixth, Lumiere, Foire, increment, and decrement. they will be using potions to heal the more severely injured. sebas, shalltear, aura, zesshi and I will attack and buy time for their magic casters to cast their spells. mare and Narberal, you two will use your spells if necessary." Momon calmly gave orders to his group.
"alright Momon, leave the injured to us we will heal them in no time, right girls!?" solution said with confidence although her voice was soft.
"yes ~su leave it to us " "yes" responded Lupusregina along with sixth, Lumiere, Foire, increment, and decrement who then answered simultaneously in a cold voice.
"mhm," Ainz nodded.
"Alright guys you heard Momon-san, Riveria and lefiya will begin casting. Tione, Tiona, Ais, Bete and I, will attack and buy time. The rest of you will have to protect the injured, Riveria and lefiya while they cast. Gareth I will leave you to protect them."
"Alright let's go captain!, lets smash this bugs to a pulp." tione shouted ready to go to fight but tiona broke her momentum saying her weapon was already broken.
Riveria and lefiya were already beginning their chant everybody was already attacking.
"ahh, let's see what type of magic they use and if it's similar to the Yggdrasil ones" Ainz was already thinking what type and how powerful the magic they were going to use was, he then remembered that the sorcerous kingdom top mages magic were up to the 7 tier, fluder and some talent holders could use up to the 9 tier but that was very rare." he was very surprised they were transported to a dungeon when he used the caloric stone. just as he began to think what was so special about this place or world that made the denizens of nazarick level up a bunch of caterpillars came and began attacking him. he slashed the first and was very surprised that it was very easy killing it. he thought that it would give a bit more trouble because it was very big, bigger than a basilisk but it was much easier, that he almost lost his balance slashing it if he hadn't been training all these years he would not have balanced himself rapidly as he did. he began running and slashing all those caterpillars like tofu.
the Loki familia was surprised to see that his weapon had not melted and then they turned to the other members to see how it was going with them. what they saw left them very surprise. what they saw was not them buying time but it was a massacre they had committed. they were killing the monsters faster than Ais could do with her Ariel on.
Ainz was very proud under his helmet as he saw that his subordinates were doing great. he saw that sebas was a cyclone in the way of the monsters. no monsters could even come close to sebas and they exploded leaving behind a crystal that sebas grabbed before they fell down and he continued to kill without a hitch. ainz then remembered the twins that sebas had with tsuare were going to have 7 years within the next two weeks. as he was killing monsters he contemplated what he was going to give to each one of them. hmmm, maybe a weapon from my inventory would be good or would they prefer a piece of armor.
"mhm," Ainz nodded as he saw that the Loki team were doing there share too.
He then turned his head two the two elves to see if they were done casting but saw that the were still casting the spell. he began to think if they could cast something similar too a super tier spell that was why they were waiting a long time for the spell to charge. he then sensed one of the spells was canceled and looked at the small elf that looked no more than older than shalltear, aura and mare. she was in her knees as she trembled and cried. she looked pitiful just like when shalltear had failed her mission, got brainwashed, got brought back to life and the guardians told her what she had done.
" I... I- I'm... s- sorry guys, I'm useless I couldn't even finish casting my magic." she was in a pitiful state but Ainz said nothing as he saw everyone retreating when Finn ordered it.
"sebas, aura, mare, and zesshi retreat to the rear so that the riveria could cast her magic". Ainz shouted his orders as the spell was about to be cast and he wanted to see how much damage it did. he then heard Riveria shout and then-
"burn them through, sword of surtr- my name is Alf!"{Rea Laevatein!}
fwussh, fire erupted and surrounded them as everything burned when it calmed down Ainz calculated that at best it was a 6 tier magic but something surprised him very much. that was the area of effect, it covered a very large area and destroyed a lot of the monsters. some of them were still crawling out of the entrance to the 51st floor that Ainz pondered if something was wrong with this dungeon that could mass-produce this annoying monster.
"shit, that's why I hate weaklings like yourself lefiya, you could not even finish a spell, what a joke. ahh, i don't even know why they brought you. not only you are more baggage but also a waste of food" Bete was shouting to lefiya as she was still crying.
"Bete, shut your mouth! are you saying that captain bringing her was a mistake again. you want me to beat you like the dog you are. HA" tione shouted then went to comfort lefiya.
"There, there lefiya you don't have to put that much pressure on yourself take it slowly and you will see that in time you will be accustomed and use your spells. right Ais" tiona said to lefiya and then turned to looked at Ais.
"mhm, you can do it lefiya" Ais nodded but looked a bit absentminded as she looked towards Ainz and his group.
"What is it Ais?" Riveria asked she looked toward where ais was looking and saw the other group of people but saw that she was specifically was looking at the momon and sebas.
"They are strong. stronger and have more experience." Ais said as she saw they were moving towards them.
"See even those 4 brats can do more than you and they look the same age as you, you are just useless!" Bete said as he angrily looked at lefiya.
Ainz could understand where Bete came from because one mistake a member made could be the downfall of the whole adventurer's group.
" Hey dog, who are you calling a brat, say that to aura not to me or you want me to skin you alive -arinsu" shalltear heard what Bete said and didn't like that he called her a brat.
" Hey Shalltear, what are you talking about! I at least can grow more, not like a certain someone who will forever be short." Aura retorted
- Hmm, now that Ainz thought about it, Shalltear was a vampire and she will not grow. he wondered if that bothered her.
"Hey, bitch who are you calling a dog want me to beat you until you cry for your mama. Haa, just so you know I am not one of the dog races I am a werewolf. does that eye of yours even work or are you just stupid that can't even recognize the different-."? Bete was responding with toxic words but as he was saying about werewolf all of the members of ainz looked at him and he froze in place with all the pressure he was feeling.
"oh, I smelled something familiar, so it was coming from you -suu"
"you too are a werewolf. oh, but you look a bit weak ~ssu" Lupusregina said to Bete who was known to shout at everybody.
Bete's face contorted, he appeared ready to kill someone as he went into a stance and attacked Lupusregina.
"haha bitch, I'll beat you so that you know who is weaker.
Bete was confident he could beat her, because he saw that she stayed behind to heal people so she shouldn't be that strong.
- "Bete! stop this instant! can't you see they aren't the enemy. they helped us healing our people.
tch, Ais and Finn stop him right now. he isn't listening." Riveria shouted as she didn't want a fight to break out as the other group looked very strong. she could tell that any of the other group could wipe them out completely if the wanted to. she then turned to look at the small elves and could tell they had a vast amount of mana in them.
CRACK, Pssst
all they saw was that Bete was getting close to the healer and she couldn't even react when Bete punched her and she was sent flying-
Well that was how it was suppose to go but the one sent flying was Bete, bones breaking could be heard and a large crater was created where Bete smashed. Lupusregina suddenly disappeared and bone-chilling screams were heard. dust was flying all through the place, Bete's scream begging for mercy and Lupusregina laughs that were sending chills through Loki's Familia were heard.
" STOP IT BITCH, STOP IT, IT HURTS. I SAID STOP IT, Stop please, stop AAAHHHH ahh ah st... op ... s... t...o.. ...p-
"HAHAHAHAHAAHA"
"LUPUSREGINA, stop it, let him go. can't you see we are in a friendly term here. you will make them in our enemy if this keep up, can't you behave for a while.
"I- I'm sorry Momon, it's just that this pup here tried to attack it's senior ~suu. Ainz expected that now that she attacked one of them they would be a little hostile with them. he was thinking that he could tell them that it was their member attack first so she had to retaliate.
- I'm sorry that one of our members tried attacking one of yours when we still are in danger. could you please let this one go.
-" ah, I won't pursue this matter, after all we are working together, and you can leave this incoming wave of monster to our mages. they will cast a spell right now so no need to worry but can you hurry and pack up we need to hurry and get to the surface because we don't have enough supply for a long stay here."
ha, Ainz thought that they would be mad at them for attacking so he didn't expect the leader to come and personally apologize. so now he was in a more or less friendly term with them but he didn't have much information of this place. he only had the basic information that he got when he sent the Hanzo's to spy on them. all he needed to do now was tell mare to cast a big aoe magic and kill the incoming monster so that he could begin this journey in this new world.
then Finn and Riveria went to check if he was alright and saw he wasn't hurt and were in confusion until they remembered that the one he attacked was a healer and with that they could deduce what happened to him.
"Okay guys we will leave in half an hour so collect the drops for the meanwhile, Mare use a spell that finishes off the monsters cleanly."
"Ok, Momon"

Everyone's vision went away for a second and when the Loki familia could see again, they were terrified. everywhere their eyesight could see was turned to a frozen hell and what terrified them the most was that the elf called mare did it in an instant.
