On The Way Of The Guild

I thought to myself as I were going to the Guild with Lucia escorting me, I was constantly looking at the materialised guild card again and again in a fear that it will dissappear, when I did so, I read the description in the card,

'B rank huh', the Guild card which had my information inscribed on it had my adventurer rank B which raised me a poosible question to iris, 'hey Iris my rank in this card is B is it okay', I spoke to Iris with using our mind communication as iris answered back, 'no problem will occur master as the adventurers who went to the dungeon were mostly B rank and you can easily blend in with them, even if you are in trouble Just think about it master as we will be always connected', a small blush appeared due to her words as I cleared my throat, 'well that came off rather romantic', I thought to myself as I stopped thinking about these trivial thoughts and followed Lucia making sure I won't get lost in the crowd

when suddenly Lucia stopped and turned to me staring at me with those shining azure eyes

"hey shiro didn't you just say that you were a newbie but now you're saying you wanted to inform a mission completion what is that about"

At that moment a rush of adrenaline was flowing in my body as my mind was searching for all possible reasons to say to her but none came to surface 'dammit you idiot why didn't you think about that' I cursed myself in my head and with leaving no choice I used my so called '300 years old' guild card to make up a story

"Lucia you see I am a adventurer who got caught into the dungeon 300 years before, I am a returner"

Lucia was in shock at what I said as she know for a fact that returner's are strong adventurers with unbelievably strong or unique syndromes

"R-really then what is your syndrome, it is unbelievable if you just say you're a returner without any context"

I had no choice but to reveal my syndrome, at the position he was in it felt like the only plausible thing to do so he whispered in her ear so no one can hear, "my syndrome is 'The Jester' and I am in the trickster mage class" I whispered in her ear as gently as I can as I didn't want people staring at me, but for a moment she gone silent like how calm it will be before a storm,

" I-I see Jester class that's a really rare as well as a unique skill, with that guild card with the design format 300 years before, I'll believe you... Let's go then, off to the guild"

We were walking to the Guild when Iris suddenly intervened my thoughts with a robotic yet a sweet melodic voice

"master I have ran a statistics report and discovered, the Guild people were 76% filled with brute's and only 24% with actually capable people who can think and act, this is due to berserker syndrome adventurers are the most common, due to their strength they are the people who mostly filled up the adventurer ranks and the others are rather long shot syndrome or healer syndrome, and a very few are the observer syndrome and the undead syndrome"

I had chills when Iris said this, all I had is one thing in mind if the most part of the Guild is filled with brute's how are the Guild even handling them I was about to ask this to Iris myself but Iris interveined with a solution to my problem,

"due to this such brute's can be executed if they are found acting out of their bounds when a guild official is looking at them, of course killing a adventurer without proof or reason or even without a guild official is forbidden and if done they will be facing painful consequences"

To be honest I was really happy to hear this news from Iris unlike the manga I read till now, here they allow you to kill but only with a reason, if this system of guild didn't exist of course the brute's will go out of hand.

Once we arrived to the Guild we were met by the sharp gaze of the adventurers sitting in the bar, which was to be honest really terrifying but controlling my fear I maintained my stone face, when Lucia and I approached a young lady who Lucia called out as Lara, Lara is no older than 20 with long brown hair with the classic green receptionist and a her faciel features making any guy fall for her just by looking at her pink eye's gaze, she greeted us with a warm smile waiting for me to speak my reason to visit the Guild

"miss Lara I have came to report my arrival from the dungeon after 300 years, I am a returner...."

The whole guild which was happy and cheerful celebrating themselves like there's no tomorrow suddenly entered a void of silence, when I looked at all the adventurers faces, they were either focusing me with a sharp gaze or shocked with a mixture of feelings, I turned back to the Guild receptionist Lara who was also a little shocked to my claim"

"It may be hard to belive since it was for me too, to see the changes the place has undergone, either way, here's my proof"

Boasting about my acting skill in my mind I took the Guild card Iris materialised for me and placed it on the Guild reception, after closely inspecting it, Lara came to a conclusion that it was real,

"this guild card is indeed 100 percent genuine and 300 years old, may I ask what is your syndrome"

Lara asked me with a convinced yet with a doubtful look, I took Iris advise and revealed my syndrome

"I have the Jester syndrome and my class is the trickster mage I was a B class adventurer back at that time", I said with a little smile

"so I've seen in the card, please take a seat mister....."

'Ah I forgot to introduce my self' I thought as I came front a bit, "apology for the late intoduction, "my name is Shiro kurokawa"

"nice to meet you too shiro I'll inform the Guild master about this so you can wait here", she said as she left through the backroom in the Guild reception, when I sighed a bit and was about to talk to lucia, a bald man approached us,

"hey Twerp the Guild might accept your class or status but I won't nor will the other adventurers until you proved it", the first thing which came to my mind was not anger or even annoyance it was a question, 'what is with this generic npc' problem', yep that is what I thought,

"what is in it for me to show my skills to the likes of someone I have never met"

I striked out a cold response from a manga I read back in my world where the MC was in the same situation as I was, which for some reason have really angered the npc looking bald dude,

"you insolent twerp YOU GOT SOME NERVE SAYING THAT TO ME", the bald guy winged his big axe towards me, but to my surprise it was a little slow compared to what I expected, it was not completely slow, it Was fast but not fast enough, I gently moved my shoulder to the side making the axe hit the Guild table,

 "I missed once, don't think I'll miss the second time you twerp", when he was about to swing his axe in me, the guy got interrupted by Lara who saw the scene, "uh ohh someone's got busted", I said with a smirk on my face looking at the npc, yeah I'm just gonna call him noc

"You have violated the policies of the Guild, you will face the punishment", when Lara was confronting the bald dude I got an cool idea, I Calle Iris immediately and asked forth a doubt, 'hey Iris is there a possibility of using the materialisation skill to make my magic into mana threads" I the manga's I have read so far the guy who can use mana threads to slice anything was my favorite, why? Cause it's so cool,' yes master it is possible to make a branch skill from a main skill... What magic do you want to branch,' I didn't even need to think I already decided it the moment I got this idea, 'dark magic' I said as I had a smirk, '

it was the most easy pick of all, the only weakness dark magic has is light magic and holy magic, and both those magic can be only accessed by the 3rd class of the healer syndrome divine restorer, and only one person in this entire world has it, it is Princess shina, and I don't think I will be meeting her any time soon, so dark magic is the best choice, though there is a possibility that this drawback might be lifted if my class goes a level up but I don't want to think about it right now,'

When I was thinking about such trivial things Iris suddenly interrupted me by saying that the skill has been materialised,

With a evil grin I walked towards the bald npc as I spoke to Lara, "hey Lara does the rule about killing a brute if he tries to assault you... Is it still in implementation", I said as I walked pass the bald npc to lara, "yes it is still in implement" she replied to me, my grin widened, " HEY WATCH YOU MOUTH YOU TWE-", the second he called me a twerp his head came off as blood splattered from his severed head, everyone in the Guild was in shock as they were still processing on what had just happened, even the ever cool miss Lara was in shock not knowing what happened, it's not that she never seen any death's, it was that she didn't even know what happened, I gave a evil grin to the Guild members, "Is there anyone else I have to prove myself too, I would be glad to do so", I gave them a menacing smile while saying it, i felt cliche in that moment, but i don't think this world know what cliche means, so i am good, 'i think i should stop my chuunibyou side taking over me' i sighed as i looked at the guild members who were staring at me in horror
