Going To School, Again??!

*Knock, knock.

Rem shifted to her human form, put on her disguise, got dressed, and walked towards the door.

*Yawns...

Rem yawned as she opened the door.

"Hello. Are you Rem?" The delivery man asked.

"Yes, I am." Rem replied.

"This package is for you." The delivery man handed the package to Rem.

"Thank you." Rem took the package and smiled.

'The package is quite light...'

The man nodded and went back to work. Rem opened the package. Inside the package were her uniform and another bag of money filled with some silver and copper coins. There was also a note that came with the package. Rem opened the note and started to read.

"Go towards the North of the center of the city and you will arrive at Starim Academy. There's no way you can miss it. -The Guild Master"

'Alrighty, time to find the school... Urg... What a pain...'

It took Rem a few minutes to find the school. The Guild Master was right. It is not possible for you to not see the academy. The academy was enormous and beautiful.

'Wow... '

Rem walked towards the academy's front gate. A machine said, "Please state your name and class."

"... I don't have a class yet. I'm a transfer student."

The machine said nothing. Rem pressed the call button underneath the machine.

*Bzz, bzz, bzz, ding!

"Hello? Who is this? Is this some kind of prank again? You know it is forbidden to press the call button unless it's something urgent."

"Uhh, hello. My name is Rem and I was told that this was Starim Academy. Am I in the right place?"

"Yes, I will open the gates right now. A teacher would guide you to your class."

"Ok, thank you."

The gate opened and Rem walked in. At the academy door, Rem saw someone waiting for her.

"You must be Rem. I'm here to guide you to the principal's office."

"I see."

Rem followed the lady and arrived at the principal's office.

"Hello again. I am the principal of this school. My name is Fania. You may call me Mrs. Caden."

Rem looked at the principal. She has blazing red hair and golden eyes. Rem could sense that the principal was a very strong person.

"Hello, I'm Rem." Rem said politely.

"I heard from Fano that you wanted to skip grades. There are six years in this school. You would have been the first year but since Fano told me to let you take the tests, I will allow you. So which test would you like to take?" Fania said.

"I would like to take the hardest test."

"Pardon?"

"I would like to take the hardest test," Rem repeated.

"You only have one chance. You do know that if you fail, you would be put to first-year class right?"

"Yes, I'm well aware."

"Alright. The test will be taken after lunch. You may do whatever you want before the test. Just make sure to be there on time. The test room would be at 2R6. It would be on the second floor."

"Got it, thanks."

Rem walked out of the room, looking for the library. Rem found the school library which was also on the second floor. She had a photographic memory. Rem started to scan through all the books quickly.

After 4 hours of constantly reading, Rem finally finished. She went to the cafeteria and bought some food. She sat at the table near the windows. After eating, Rem went to 2R6. She arrived on time. Rem was the only person in the room with a teacher. The teacher told Rem that she had two hours to finish the test. Rem understood and started the test. After half an hour, Rem finished.

"Miss, what do I do after I'm done with the test?" Rem asked.

"You're done already???" The teacher looked surprised and doubtful.

"Yes."

"I see, then please hand over your test. The principal said she wanted to personally check your test. You will also be getting a dorm. Please follow me to your dorm room."

"Yes ma'am."

Rem followed the teacher outside. She noticed that there were two dorms. The girl's dorms were at the right (east), the boy's at the left (west), and the actual school was in between the two dorms. There was also a huge garden in front of the school gate with a huge fountain in the middle of the garden. After a few minutes of walking, Rem finally arrived at her dorm room.

"This will be your dorm. Your dorm number is 3GD1. You will also be sharing your dorm with another person. Your stuff will be delivered here so you will not have to worry. I will be leaving now. I have to take your test to the principal."

"Ok, thanks for helping." Rem smiled.

"Your welcome."

Rem's dorm was on the second floor. She walked inside her dorm. When she walked inside, she saw a bathroom to her left and two beds, two closets, two drawers, and two desks to the right. There were items on the desk near the door so Rem assumed that the bed, desk, closet, and drawer near the windows. Rem laid on her bed.

'If I have to share a room, then doesn't that mean I'll have to be in my "human" form??? Urg... What a pain!'

Rem heard someone knock on the door. She opened the door.

"H-hello!" The delivery man stuttered.

"Hi." Rem said, smiling.

"U-um... This is your luggage." The man continued to stutter.

"Thank you."

"Your w-welcome!" The man quickly left after delivering Rem's luggage.

'This person must be new to this... He kept stuttering...'

Rem opened the shop and looked for a mask.

Rem bought the mask and chose to make her mask black. She wore the mask and put her hoodie on. Suddenly, she heard the door open. She saw a girl with blond hair, green eyes, and a pair of pointy ears.

"Who are you?" The girl asked.

"I'm Rem." Rem replied.

"Oh, you must be my new roommate. My name's Karina." She said, smiling.

"Oh okay."

Silence filled the room. Rem checked Karina's stats.

'That's odd... Why can't I see her role? Just who was she?' Rem thought.

*Knock, knock!

Karina walked to the door and opened it. She was shocked when she saw the principal in front of her.

"Good afternoon. Is Rem in there?" The principal asked, smiling.

"Y-yes," Karina said, stuttering.

"Pardon me, I'll be coming in then."

The principal walked into the room and sat on a chair.

"What is it?" Rem asked.

"Would you like to talk about it here or in private?"

"It's fine, just say it here."

"Alright. Rem, you passed the test and got full marks. You even finished in half an hour. Did you cheat?" The principal asked.

"Are you doubting me?"

"Well, I mean, who gets full marks in thirty minutes? Plus, this is the school's hardest test!"

"Do you want me to take another test?"

"Yes, of course."

"Let's make a bet then. If I get another full mark in under an hour, give me the privilege to have my own dorm room."

Karina felt nervous when she saw Rem being so daring.

"Alright then. This isn't something hard to fulfill. That's only if you pass the test." The principal agreed and thought Rem was an interesting person.

"Deal." Rem replied.

"Follow me, you will be taking the test in my office. I have my own way to see if you cheat or not."

"Alright, do whatever you want."

Rem once again finished the test in thirty minutes. She handed her test to the principal and the principal was surprised that she did not cheat. She checked Rem's test.

"Congratulations, you have gotten full marks again. I guess I lost this one... You may have your own dorm. Your dorm would be on the top floor, which is the fifth floor. It's in room 5GD1."

Sani handed Rem the key to her room.

"Thanks." Rem said while taking the key.

"The guild master said your level was twenty. Tomorrow, you will have to take two tests so we know how strong you are. First years are usually level 10s, second years are level 20s, and third years level 30s."

"No thanks, I don't want to take any tests."

"You WILL take the tests!" Sani said, releasing her killing intent.

"I refuse." Rem replied.

Rem didn't flinch or felt any pressure when the principal used her killing intent on her. The principal was amazed by how she could withstand her killing intent.

"Fine. You don't have to take it. Since you are refusing to take the tests, I will have to put you in the first year."

"Sure."

"Here, take this schedule."

The principal handed Rem's schedule. Rem took the schedule.

"Thanks."

"You will be in class 1E. I also prepared a new uniform for you since you are now part of the first year in this academy. You can ask anyone in this school if you have any problems or questions. Don't get into trouble or skip any classes."

"Yeah, sure. Bye."

Rem walked out of the principal's office and went to her new dorm room.

'How amusing. This person didn't even flinch when I released my killing intent... This year won't be as boring as I thought!' The principal thought and smiled happily to herself.
