Chenyu The Herder
Not half bad tbh, its still a very basic lord story, but the mechanics are quite well thought out and interesting. It's similar to Global Lord: 100% Drop Rate and Lord Of The World: I Become The Lord Of The Desert From The Start, much more so similar to the desert one however. It's more interesting than the desert one tbh tho since the environment has more variety compared to the desert.
I finished it. I didn't expect it to suddenly end like that! The plot is nice, and so is the development of it. And like what one of the reviews said, it really has some similar concepts/ideas as the Desert Lord novel. Fortunately, it's not mirroring each other, just some similarities. What I'm disappointed about is the rushed ending (?). I feel like the battle of the plane could be expanded more into an arc, but it just rushed straight through it with a flashforward. I still have some questions, but anyway, since it's already finished, it can't be answered. This is an entertaining novel to me, you can read it to pass time. The total of chapters is 452. As I see in WN currently, they haven't divided the chapters yet, I'm not sure if they'll do it in further chapters because that's what they usually do. So the chapter count might change, but in raws, it's 452 chapters.
Bruh, this novel for being fantasy is getting many of the fantasy creatures wrong. Like, bruh, it is the translation issue or author trolling. I can understand messing up in the difference between mermaid and siren, but messing on goblin vs. kobold is just bad. The novel describes something else, but the name of the creature is another kind.
This novel has been really fun to read but I feel like it favors short chapters with many releases at a medium price. I‘d rather see more substantial chapters at a decent higher price. The latest chapter at the time if me writing this was six pages (I’m reading from phone) and cost as much as a novel with 12-15 pages a chapter. I am paying the same for less and twice as often just to get the same amount of content. The novels I get privileged chapters for are the ones that give good discounts and I get to feel like I get to at least tell myself I recoup some of the losses while supporting an author I love doing what they enjoy but this novel is just losing me. This novel is good, but not worth what feels like intentionally smaller chapters at the same price more often to get more money.
