To Good to be True

I stared at the bag in front of me. It was full to the brim, looking as if it could bust open at the seams.

"Olivia, you're going to miss your plane!" My mother yelled from downstairs.

I grabbed the handle on my bag, and took the steps two at a time.

"I'm going, mom," I said rushing out the door.

I shoved my suitcase in the trunk of my car, and slammed it shut. I pulled myself into the drivers seat and put my seat belt on. I was just about to start driving away when my mother came bursting through the front door, and ran over to my car.

"Don't be stupid, and stay safe," She ordered me, giving a quick kiss on the top of my head.

"I will," I said winking, and rolled my window up. I pulled out of the driveway and took a right.

Sun, here I come.

I slept through most of the plane ride, and when I reached Mexico, I was overwhelmed with excitement, however, I did have a nervous feeling in my gut.

A free trip touring different continents? Seemed way to good to be true.

When I reached the hotel we were meeting at I saw four others with bags, and two others pointing out different locations on a map.

"Is this for the free trip?" I asked cautiously, setting my things down.

"Yup," A guy with long brown hair and brown eyes looked me up and down.

Another guy with shorter, red hair, elbowed the other guy in the ribs, and said to me, "We're gonna be stuck with each other for the next month,"

I gave a half-smile.

The lady who was holding the map spoke out, "Ready to get going?"

I looked around. The only other girl with bags spoke out, "But we just got here..."

"I know. But, this is only our meeting spot. Ladies, and Gentlemen, we're going to Chesapeake Bay."

"Where is that?" I asked.

"Between Virginia and Maryland. Come on now, don't want to waste a second."

I should run now. These people were hella sketchy. But, what's life without a little adventure, right...?
