Auction

As mentioned in previous chapters, Samael can absorb everything, from aura, to poison, to killing intent and even concepts like time. Obviously he can't do all of this now but as his cultivation increases he will be able to swallow more things.

Killing intent in the truest sense is resentment from the people you've killed sticking to you this is why a lot of killers can find another killer, they sense the killing intent on them.

Sami decided to absorb that killing intent and add it to his own, he will not have the illusions of Alexi but he will be able to intimidate others.

Alexi's body flew into the air his jaw completely destroyed and his face disfigured. Seeing him collapsed Samael called one of waiters, "Throw this prick out of here and tell him if he wants to fight again come to the Auction, Alice let's go."

*Thud* the half-titan's huge body fell onto the road outside the hotel.

"What are we going to do now?" Alice said to Sami as they left.

"I don't know, let's just explore."

A few hours later....

Sami and Alice are back in the penthouse, they explored the city to waste and it is now currently 13:30.

"Alright lets go, they gave us a VIP room, at least they are treating us right." Sami said as he fixed his cufflinks.

He was wearing an all black suit with ruby cufflinks, the clothes fitted to his body perfectly showing of his Olympian physique, every move he made seemed to noble and elegant. The cufflinks went well with the red Tengu mask. The creepiness of the mask and the beauty of suit blended together to form an odd combination of horror and nobility.

Alice standing next to him looked amazing, she was wearing a white and ice blue dress that came out as a skirt in the bottom and her was tied up into a bun. She had obsidian earrings that matched with Sami's suit colour giving the two a sense of harmony.

The two looked divine, a perfect example of Golden boys and Jade girls.

"Let's go." Sami said as they stepped into a flying carriage having no time to waste.

They quickly arrived at the auction house, the Midas pavilion looked majestic. White and Copper marble was the material used to build the temple like building. It was huge.

There were statues of animals like the Kirin which represented luck. On the front of the building was their logo which was a golden skeletal hand.

As their carriage landed they were immediately greeted by a young man in a butler outfit, the adolescent was staring at Alice completely dazzled by her beauty.

"Ahem, We don't have all day." Samael grumpily said.

The butler looked at Samael irritably and turned back to Alice, "My lady this way please."

Samael facepalmed 'Did this guy think I'm her servant, fucking hell the thought process of these people is insane, ah you know what who cares as long as this prick hurries up because I don't have all day.'

The young man, brought them to the VIP room trying to talk to Alice on the way, but was coldly ignored. Realising he was embarrassing himself he hastily walked ahead and showed them the room.

"Have a good day Miss." the young man bowed and scuffled away his face blushing with shame.

Sami and Alice closed the door to the room. The room was around 4 floors above the ground of the auction house. It had a balcony allowing the users of the room to see the stage clearly.

14:00 …..

A very sexy woman came on stage, she had an above average face but a bombshell figure and her low-cut tight dress exaggerated it. It seemed as if her bust was about to fall out, her beautiful legs that came under her dress walked bewitchingly. Her rose red blush and lipstick accentuated her features making her face prettier than it is.

The men and some women in the auction house were absolutely drooling when they saw her.

"Hello everyone my name is Lucile and I'm here to tell you the auction is now starting." her alluring voice announced.

Alice looked at the men ogling at her disapprovingly then glanced at Sami and saw him not even looking at the woman making her smile happily.

Alexi had recovered by using a healing treasure however he was still enraged as he kept thinking about the man in the Tengu mask he got angrier but he didn't dare to cause trouble a the restaurant again as someone told him the background of the establishment, terrifying him. He may be a madman but he's not stupid.

Even though the Inn's background was huge he was still prepared to fight the bastard anyway, so he joined the auction.

"The first item is a Transcendent realm spell called Molten dam and the starting price is 100 low-tier aura crystals , won't you guys buy this off my hands," Lucile seductively said her voice filled with charm trying to persuade people to buy it.

The currency in this world is split into Bronze, Silver and Gold coins. 1 Gold = 100 Silver and 1 Silver = 100 Bronze coin.

After coins you have Aura stones which are split into low-tier mid-tier and high-tier stones and can be exchanged at 1 : 100 as well.

Samael and Alice looked uninterested after all they come from prestigious backgrounds and have seen much better spells. The final price reached 250 low-tier stones which is mainly due to the Auctioneer Lucile and her charm.

Dozens of items useless to the duo were auctioned off before a slightly interesting item was brought on stage, it was actually just a Mortal Realm spell but it could allow you to use the aura in the world before you reach transcendence.

In the previous chapter I explained the Transcendence realm in this realm you can also use the aura in the world for use to create bigger attacks/spells. This spell can allow you to do so in the Mortal realm.

However there was catch you could only use the aura of the metal element. Even though this was the requirement many people didn't care as if they got the spell the may be able to replicate it with other elements.

"Thank you everyone, I can feel your excitement so I won't be a tease, the starting price for this Spell is 10000 low tier/ 100 mid tier Aura Stones and we expect a minimum 50 low tier stone price increase."

Bids were flying about the price increased astronomically many solo cultivators quickly gave upon realising that they have no chance of buying the technique.

Alexi was still bidding though after all he had killed countless people taking all their valuables too making him quite rich. Also he used the metal element so the technique was tailor made for him.

The price had risen to 200 mid tier stones before Samael got involved, "1000 mid tier stones." he said indifferently as if not caring for his outrageous price increase.

Heads turned to the source of the voice and people saw Sami standing at the balcony of the VIP room, nonchalantly watching over the crowds. When Alexi realised who it was he instantly became furious remembering how he was decimated previously and recklessly upped the bid.

"1001 Mid-Tier stones!" Alexi said.

"2000"

"2001"

"10,000 Stones, Sami said provocatively glancing at Alexi.

The half-titan gritted his teeth if he increased the price now he would completely empty his wallet after all even if he had a lot of money it was nothing compared to the second generation rich and wealthy Sami.

Lucile was staring at the two with stars in her eyes, she was extremely excited because as the auctioneer she gets a 1% commission of the profit from the auction and as long as the price goes up she is also getting richer.

"Damn it, 10,001 Stones"

"Ah, you've bested me take it, you have won." Sami exaggeratedly said looking at Alexi like he was a fool.

"3,2,1 sold to number 77, please come to the back room and receive your item.

Info of the day - Titans

They are the tallest race in the world and can grow to a recorded maximum of 500m. However due to special spells/abilities they can temporarily increase their height for increased strength.

They live in the icy cold tundra and live a nomadic lifestyle exploring the huge ice continent. Every other race needs to eat when they are mortal to sustain themselves however Titans directly eat aura which has the added bonus of quickly improving cultivation.

There are almost indifferent towards over races due to their immense lifespan which as soon as they're born is 100,000 years long this means their reproductive abilities are almost non-existent having new offspring around every 50,000 years. Titans can reduce their size freely and mostly stay around 10-20 feet tall.

Due to the environment they live in there species has adapted and evolved making the common elements of Titans are ice, lightning, earth and metal also, due to their huge stature there are much closer to the element of gravity so it is not as rare in the titan race. It's still kind of rare though.
