0.2 - The World and its Territories

The world is called VERUS and it's the shape of an egg it is 50 times bigger than earth.

There is 'space' in a sense but space is actually the barrier between the world and the abyss.

Space protects the planet however the abyss is attacking the barrier trying to reach the world.

In space there's obviously the sun and some stars no other planets no other life except In the abyss.

There are two realms other than VERUS named, The Sanctus realm which host purebred angels and gods and The Malum realm which host the purebred devils and evil gods

These two realms are not necessarily at war but there are extremist in each realm that wish to eradicate the other namely the Iustita Sanctuary in the Sanctus realm and the Diabolus covenant in the Malum realm.

The Iustita Sanctuary has a warped sense of justice and truly believe they are good people however they are arrogant and bring 'justice' to anyone they deem bad.

The Diabolus Covenant want to cause chaos and destruction they want to live in a world where the strong rule the weak

Both of these organisations are hated by their own realms however have not been eradicated due to the delicate balance between the realms and the strength of the organisation leaders.

In VERUS their our many races that live in coexistence but also some races that hate each other

Humans

Humans do not have any specialities but can learn everything they have average lifespan but good talent and high reproductive rates

The humans have many kingdoms and cultures they live in the centre of VERUS and have the most land due to they're insanely high population.

The four main kingdoms/territories are….

The Britannia Empire (based of Victorian Britain in the real world)

The Roman Empire(based on a mix between Ancient Rome and Greek)

The Aztec Temples(mix between Mayan and Aztec civilisations)

Eternal Pangu Sect (A generic Chinese Sect in Web novels but also has normal cities which is based of ancient China)

There are also other notable and famous territories….

The Hioti tribe (a group of people who mainly live on water, basically pirates but there aren't evil)

The Slums (extremely poverty full area has gangs etc, where Kaminari lives)

Druids (a group of people who follow elves and worship the world tree)

The Ra Pyramids (they worship the sun God Ra and hate the Aztec temples as they believe Ra is the true Sun God)

Humans can have hybrid children with almost every race other races cannot have hybrids with anything other than humans due to humans being the neutral beings.

This is because every race are close/looks like humans per say even the beast or demon race as they can transform into humans when they cultivate . Most half breeds live with either humans or their counterpart only beast men made their own kingdom

Elves

Elves are a species with a very long lifespan a elf with no cultivation can live for 1000yrs however they're reproduction abilities are very poor.

They can use almost all elements but elements such as fire and death are less common while wood life and healing are more common.

Elves specialise in flower/fruit wine, enchanting weapons and there beautiful architecture that fuses with nature.

Elves are naturally beautiful and they are very aristocratic they are normally tall.

Almost all elves live in the Yggdrasil Coves a mix between forest and caves. Dark elves aren't really thing it's just a difference in skin tone and they don't fight each other.

In the Yggdrasil Coves their is a World tree it is the tallest thing in the VERUS world. The elves are ruled by the elf queen who is chosen by the World Tree.

A notable thing is that Elves have a huge disdain to dwarves and goblins as they are both vulgar, greedy and dirty/unhygienic. They are on the same continent as the goblins and dwarves.

Dwarves

Dwarves are a species with a longer lifespan than humans but not elves around 400yrs. They're reproductive abilities are average. They can use almost all elements with earth metal rune lava fire and Crystal being more common.

They have high natural physical strength leading them to excel in blacksmithing and enchanting using runes. They also dabble in magi tech.

They enjoy beer and ale. They love money are unhygienic due to them forging all the time and love festivals.

Most dwarves live in the Malleus Caves. A beautiful cave system and there is also an above ground kingdom but it is mostly reserved for the royal family, tourists and farmers cause you can't farm underground. There is caves are abundant in sunstone bringing light to the cave.

Dwarves have conflicts with goblins as goblins are in a sense the cousin of dwarves and dwarves believe they are a worse version of them. They are on the same continues as elves and dwarves.

Goblins

Goblins have a short lifespan of around 50yrs. They have very high reproductive abilities however due to their inherent weakness many offspring come out stillborn or with defects. They can use almost all elements with metal rune and neutral being most common.

Due to their weak physiques they have went down the path of magitech augmentations (basically cyborgs) however it's not technology that looks like modern tech but steampunk type stuff. They have mecha, limb replacements the most advanced magic cannons or flying blimps.

They keep to themselves and like money even more than dwarves they sell their technology but a lot the time will give you faulty machines or overcharge you (the scumbags).

They are the mad scientists of the VERUS world even though almost every race slightly dislikes them their technology is too advanced for huge wars to start.

They live in the Cobalus Kingdom. Which is on a continent with elves goblins and dwarves.

Demons

Demons have a lifespan equal to elves depending on their bloodline purity as in how purebred they are, how close to their ancestor demon not the bloodline that gives abilities.

Like a purebred daemon will have a 5000yr lifespan but a lower breed may have a lifespan as low as 50yrs.

There are multiple races within the demon race namely Vampires, Liches, Fallen angels, Daemons.

Vampires

Purebred Vampires are very similar to elves, they are aristocrats, noble, elegant and beautiful. They drink blood like wine and are talented in enchanting.

Mixed breed Vampires are like normal people with a need for blood and scared of sunlight.

Impure Vampires act like animals and have an eternal thirst for blood they don't even look human they look more like a bat.

The common elements of Vampires are the Blood, dark and death elements.

If a vampire bites you, you don't turn into a Vampire but you do become sick it's almost like rabies.

Liches

Liches are undeads and are essentially immortal however the longer they live the weaker they're body gets the best way to prolong street and lifespan is for them to live in complete darkness.

They're reproductive abilities are extremely poor however over races can become Liches through necromancy.

Liches focus on ancient crafting, biological alchemy and research on the soul.

Their main elements are dark, death, curse and the devil element and they outright cannot use the light, fire and life elements.

Daemons

Daemons are direct descendants of Devils that decided to live in the VERUS world and have a lifespan of 1000yrs as mortals and a reproductive ability equal to elves.

Daemons are an assortment of creatures they can look humanoid or beast-like they normally have red or purple coloured skin. The stronger/purer the bloodline the more the Daemon looks like a human.

Daemons focus on selling services for equivalent exchange however most of the daemons still earn more they are a tricky species and everything the say or do may be part of an elaborate plan.

Daemons can use every common element but are more common in elements of curse poison fire dark and lava.

Almost all Demons live in the Demon continent a huge piece of land that is connected to the Malum Realm. Then they're are kingdoms for each race that are in turn vassals to the purebred devil empress. Meaning the Empress is the true ruler of the country.

Angels

Angels are a gentle race and always try to help others however there are still extremist as mentioned before.

Angels have a huge lifespan of 5000yrs as a mortal but abysmally low reproductive abilities meaning there population is smaller than others.

They do not have any specialities per say however they are self sufficient and keep to themselves most of the time.

Angels can actually use every common element with fire light and lightning being more common.

Angels live on a huge island around half of the size of demon continent.

Dragons

Dragons are a extremely powerful race and almost all of them are geniuses. There are two types of real dragons, Eastern dragons and Western dragons.

Both types of dragon have a lifespan of 10,000 yrs even without cultivation. Meaning the reproductive abilities are poor. Also both dragons can turn into a human form without cultivation.

Eastern dragons have no wings and a body like a snake however they can still fly by controlling the wind around them.

Eastern dragons will always be talented in the wind element due to how the fly and the other common elements are water lightning ice metal and wood.

Western dragons look like well dragons in English mythology and have wings. They all breathe fire or an other elemental breath.

The common elements of western dragon are every element as western dragons have different elemental types like a fire lava dragon etc. They can still have conflicting/more elements.

Eastern and Western dragons dislike/disdain each other not hate so most of the time will stay away one lives in the east the other obviously west.

Beastmen

Beastmen are hybrids between humans and beats. There are so many of them due to high reproductive rates of both humans and beasts. They live on their own continent similar to demons and there is one Empire and all types of beast men live there. The Empire is called the Alium Empire

Beastmen have access to all elements they may lean in a certain direction depending on the type of beast parent they had like if a lightning bear dad they would probably have lightning affinity.

Beastmen live on a continent with a lot of spices so they see that to make money.

Beasts

There are two types of beast, Spirit Beast and normal beasts both can cultivate however Spirit beast have much longer lifespans without Cultivation and may have magical properties such as a fire breath before cultivating.

Normal beasts have to learn to cultivate or eat a treasure to break their species shackles.

Beasts live all over the world you can find them everywhere however a lot are concentrated in the Beastmen continent.

They can have any element. They don't focus on any industry but most of time live in seclusion or small villages and tribes.

Titans

They are the tallest race in the world and can grow to a recorded maximum of 500m. However due to special spells/abilities they can temporarily increase their height for increased strength.

They live in the icy cold tundra and live a nomadic lifestyle exploring the huge ice continent. Every other race needs to eat when they are mortal to sustain themselves however Titans directly eat aura which has the added bonus of improving cultivation.

There are almost indifferent towards over races due to their immense lifespan which as soon as they're born is 100,000 meaning the reproductive abilities are almost nonexistent. Titans can reduce their size freely and mostly stay around 10-20 feet when living normally.

Due to the environment they live in there species has adapted and evolved making the common elements of Titans are ice, lightning, earth and metal due to their huge stature there are much closer to the element of gravity so it is not as rare in the titan race it's still rare though.

Ocean dwellers

All creatures who live in the ocean are ocean dwellers this includes Mermaids, Murlocs and Aquatic beasts.

Mermaids and Merman

With human upper bodies and fish lower bodies they are the elves of the sea elegant and beautiful. They can walk on land by transforming their legs (not permanently) it's like a beast transforming into a human form.

They have a lifespan of 500yrs and average reproductive abilities. They can use all normal elements but the common elements of their race are water, healing, ice, lava(due to underwater volcanoes) and life.

Their speciality is music their singing and melodies are the most beautiful sounding things in the VERUS world. Many people go to the Ocean to hear them play. Almost all sea dwellers live in the Moramini Empire and it's ruled by the Mermaid clan. The Moramini Empire owns around 50% of the ocean. The other half is mostly the coasts of continents which is owned by the people living on the continent.

Murlocs

Murlocs have the highest population in the ocean they are similar to goblins not as short but similar they are ugly humanoid beings with a lifespan of 100yrs and above average reproductive abilities.

They are just like the average human and mostly serve as normal citizens or soldiers in the army. However recently some leaders of the Murloc race are unsatisfied with the status quo and wish to rebel and becomes rulers of the sea.

The common elements are dark, water, lava, ice, and poison.

Aquatic beasts

Aquatic beasts are just beasts that live in ocean done.

Gods and 'Evil gods'

Are beings born from the world and are directly given a high cultivation the live as long as they are not forgotten by the masses. They get stronger by spreading their name throughout the land leading to many religions.
