A stupid meeting (short chapter)

It was raining… which was very natural during this season. I felt some steps coming from the stairs.

I walked to the door to see who it was. Outside a little girl approaching with some boxes in her hands, followed by two sturdy men.

After a while I realized who they were and with a little embarrassment in my face I introduced myself.

"Good morning, I see that you are the new neighbor, nice to meet you my name is yoo-rin " I said with a stupid smile.

She squared me for a moment until she almost twisted her neck because of how much difference there was in our height, 'cute' I thought but then I returned immediately to reality

She approached with a friendly smile

"Its my pleasure,my name is Ailin, I see that from today we will be apartment pals," she said with a wink.

Well that made me even more red and she looked at me giggling

Looking more carefully I saw the two men waiting there, soaked and tired, so I decided to say something

"Excuse me, by the way, do you need help bringing the boxes? Since I see you are very tired" I ask with a serious expression on my face

"Well we would have finished, these were the last packages, but thanks for the thought " replied one of the men with a smile

"So we lady have finished with the move of your property, I hope everything goes well and we wish you a good day" said the other man with an emotionless face

'Quite disturbing enough I would say'

So the girl thanked and greeted them as the two walked towards the exit

Left alone I tried to break the ice asking if she still needed help, she looked at me and smiled

"I don't have much to do yet but I would like some company while putting some things in order, if it doesn't bother you" she replied looking slightly to the ground which was strange but I tried to ignore that for now I would say

"Of course, I would love to"...
