chapter 33

now that she was married she decided it was best to settle down for a while, so together with vel, they created a house in the woods.

together they lived there for a while with Jay stopping by three a week. we had a Barrier being maintained by a high-level core, and we decided to live our lives in peace not worrying about anything.

at least the immortal beast came at us. well more like charged at our barrier repeatedly.

I increased the gravity twentyfold on the creature causing it to fall flat on the ground, however, it started getting up so I increased the gravity tenfold again, and this time it stayed down.

with the spell "soul searching I found out all I needed to know.

being a necromancer I controlled its body and morphed it into a human shape, and with that done I finally restored his mind.

"keep an eye on him, I'm going to hunt down the others," I said as my mana began to spread out from my body and caused a large hole in the sky.

"uh... sure," vel said dragging him into the shed.

now that I got the signature mana of these things I can track them down easily.

I vanished only to appear in the forest with another beast. I spent the remainder of my day hunting down these people turned monsters before finally, I made my way into the human country.

I was getting stares and people were pointing at me but that didn't stop me from teleporting to the center of the city and raising my sword.

my mana was spread out and covered the whole city and then a little outside and I swung my sword, using vector manipulation to make it more powerful.

immediately my surroundings got destroyed and the people got evaporated in a sea of blood and mist.

children, teens, and adults, none were spared. except for the slaves, Athena made sure to avoid them with her energy.

the once beautiful city was now just a large crater, and the only ones to survive were the slaves and some of the treasures the kingdom had.

(she totally didn't steal anything....)

meanwhile, the cities near the human kingdom were evacuating, and me? I was drinking coffee at home watching over the bodies of my mutated classmates.

while they may not be the best people in the world, they were innocent.

I began altering and erasing memories of this world and made it so they think they got kidnapped by the guy.

since these guys were still technically in this world they still had mana and powers. so I did what anyone would do, I sealed their mana, and it would continue to be sealed until either me or Jay released the seal.

even if someone does forcefully break it, it would send me warnings anyways.

I used space magic and sent them back home, to the forest. I watched as Josh woke up first and that started a chain reaction.

together they ran and waved down a car and then the police got involved. with them gone I think it was time for me to finally deal with the church too.

I teleported to the top of the building and did what I did to Knoxville. destroy everything.

I watched as they screamed before teleporting back to my house and summoned another cup of coffee and began drinking it.

"did you do something," vel said from the shower.

"I secured my quiet life," I said as a burrito appeared in front of me.

vel peeked out of the doorway and looked at me with calculating eyes. she probably decided it wasn't worth it and went back into the bathroom.

a part of me was wondering what happened to the paladin that I ran across, but until we meet again I won't ever know.

said paladin was in Jacksonville being an adventurer and eating what she could.

anyways, today was Friday, and Friday is time for mole. simply divine Mexican food.

"I see you do like this meal," jay said as she sat upside down on the roof.

"but of course, this food is amazing," I said looking up at her.

she just rolled her eyes and sat still while I ate.

once I finished eating I laid on my couch and took a nap.

a much-needed nap.
