CHAPTER 31: STORES SHAPING UP

Arianna finally made a decision after racking her brains, and that was to seek assistance from her family. She went to seek help from her mother, who was so pleased that she introduced her to an elite lawyer in his early thirties.

Arianna obtained a personal lawyer simply by opening her mouth. She hired the man because she wanted him to personally assist her with any future issues that may arise.

Kenan was the lawyer's name, and he was married with two lovely children. A family man was more trustworthy, and because her mother trusted him enough to give him to her, she hoped he wouldn't let her down.

With Kenan on her side, she drafted a new contract that gave the other person a lot of benefits because she didn't want to be perceived as stingy, and she had read cases. Kenan presided over, and despite her lack of legal knowledge, she could tell how magnificent he was.

Kenan assisted her in drafting contracts for the confectioners of her cafes, ensuring that everything was in order by the time the stores opened. After the contracts were signed, Arianna handed over the recipes to the confectioners so they could begin practicing.

It was the weekend, which meant no school, and on this day Arianna stepped out of her silver Maserati, which her elder sister had bought for her after learning that she was starting her own business.

They all seemed to be aware of her business venture but were waiting for her to inform them. She was moved because she felt her family respected her privacy and did not press her to reveal anything.

She could tell they were proud of her, just standing back and watching as she did everything on her own. It wasn't good to keep feeding someone fish; sometimes teaching them to fish was the better option.

Arianna was finally able to drive her own car after obtaining one, but her guards remained by her side. She just liked having her own freedom and not having to share a car with a driver and a bodyguard. How could she carry out her plans if these people kept getting in her way?

When she got out of the car, she took off the sunglasses she had been wearing in the car and smiled. Leah, her miracle worker, was right in front of her. This young lady had proven herself worthy, and she was very proud of herself for selecting such a gem.

"This way, Lady Arianna," Leah said as she moved to make room for her.

Arianna couldn't stop Leah from using honorifics; it wasn't their fault because it was required of them. Arianna had grown numb to it and accepted that whatever title they gave her; she wouldn't die or lose anything as a result of it.

"Thank you, Leah," she said politely, taking graceful steps towards the store.

Arianna went straight into the first store she bought from and looked around, her eyes wide with wonder. The place had been completely remodeled, and it looked fantastic and exactly how she had envisioned it.

At this rate, the store could be open in two weeks or less, depending on how quickly the staff learns how to make the snacks and drinks.

"How far did they get with following those recipes?" Arianna inquired as she proceeded to the third floor, which she had designated as the V.I.P floor.

This floor was distinct from the other two in that clients who could access it had more privileges than the others. She decided to make it more like a book café so they could enjoy refreshments while sharpening their minds.

This floor also housed the management office, where the person in charge would work. She wanted to run a proper business with proper employees, which is why Leah had already hired the necessary personnel, including the accountant and manager, but not the servers and confectioners.

"So far, there has been no problem; the improvements are visible on a daily basis, and I believe that in a week, there will be no mistakes, and we can consider moving forward with our plans," Leah replied as she trailed Arianna.

"That's encouraging. I don't want to hear about any last-minute issues; this is my first business, and I'd hate to fail. I need to prove to my family that I am a changed person and that there is nothing to worry about," Arianna said as she came to a halt and returned her gaze to Leah, who was looking at her with mixed emotions in her eyes, "this is a war we should win. There are so many eyes on us, Leah, and we can't afford to fail in any way."

Leah knew this was serious when she saw how stern her young miss was. As an assistant, she didn't want to fail because it would tarnish her small reputation, and this job was very important to her, so she didn't want anything to go wrong.

"Just trust me with everything; I will not let you down!" Leah solemnly swore with everything she had, making Arianna smile.

"I trust you, let's see what this floor turns out to be," Arianna said as she resumed taking the stairs elegantly, as if they weren't tiring at all.

She, who had been forced to run in heels as part of her daily missions in the system space, how could she find it exhausting to climb these few stairs in such low heels?

She used to despise the suffering she endured while on missions, but at times like this, Arianna could see the light and appreciate all of her efforts because they were greatly benefiting her.

When they arrived on the third floor, Arianna thoroughly checked the floor while Leah explained everything to her. The employees did not appear because she did not want to be seen and let it be known that this was hers because she wanted to check on the store.

She didn't want to sabotage her first business with her reputation, and her enemies might see this as a great opportunity as well, making matters worse, so staying quiet was the only option.

Arianna examined the area for a while, and she was pleased with everything Leah had done. Arianna didn't need to transfer any funds because there was still money in the company account.

When she finished inspecting the first store, she did the same for the second, and at the end of the day, she made a list of the things that needed to be improved or added.

After all, this place should represent her noble aura; she was here to leave a mark, even if it meant living in the shadows.
