CHAPTER 25: SCHOOL PREPARATION

Arianna couldn't help but smile as she held the gold card she had been given by her parents when they saw the hankies she had hand-sewn with so much blood and sweat.

Her parents were so enamored with the hankies that they couldn't stop bragging about them. Arianna was now forced to make three more for her elder siblings thanks to them, which she was slowly doing.

Her parents boasted not only to her siblings, but also to her relatives and friends. Her mother went so far as to post photos of the hankies on her blog, which attracted a lot of attention.

Her mother had rekindled her popularity, and some saw her in a positive light while others laughed at her needlework skills. Arianna didn't care about any of them because all that mattered to her was that her parents liked the hankies and bring them every day wherever they went.

She was even considering sewing another set so they wouldn't have to use the same hankies every day.

They became really generous and gave her a gold card to go shopping in preparation for the upcoming semester because they loved their gifts so much. Arianna hadn't done any preparation since she'd been confined indoors for a few weeks after being released from the hospital.

After that movie date with Amy, this would be her second outing. She was curious as to what the other girl was up to because she hadn't heard from her in quite some time.

Arianna ate breakfast with her parents happily and waved them goodbye enthusiastically with a card in her hand, making her parents slightly regret what they had done.

Arianna went with Leah, accompanied by the driver and a few security personnel, after her parents had left. On that list, she didn't even mention the guards that were shadowing her.

Arianna picked a black Bentley as her mode of transportation since she was going shopping. Leah, who was dressed in a caramel suit and sat in the back seat, looked very professional and worthy of her position as her P.A.

She felt really bad about not giving her an allowance when she first started working for her. She couldn't be faulted because she'd never been in a situation like this before. She was a loner, writing for a living in her little apartment. How was she supposed to know how to treat one of her own staff?

Leah was updating her of the latest news regarding the two stores; she had already started interviewing the personnel and had two more rounds to go. She wanted to trust the young woman since she had hired her, so she left everything in Leah's hands so she could show her potential and what she was made of.

The car came to a halt in front of the mall, and Arianna had decided to come back to the RiverWalk mall, which she had fallen in love with on her first visit.

She told the driver to wait in the parking lot for her while she went on her business. Arianna was quite recognizable as everyone could see her retinue, and as someone who had become a celebrity as a result of the videos that had been posted about her that night, she was easily recognized.

Arianna politely smiled and nodded to the brave souls waving at her. This time, the guards were protecting her, so she didn't have to worry about anyone causing her any trouble.

She went right into the first boutique because she was there to buy clothes and shoes. This was her first time shopping for clothes without fear of running out of money.

"Welcome, young lady Arianna," the manager greeted Arianna excitedly; word had already spread across the mall that the famous Arianna was in the building, so how could the manager not be moved when the young woman chose her store first?

"Um, show me what you've got," Arianna didn't waste any time and went straight to the point and then she said, "The new releases for the season."

"Please come this way," the manager directed her.

Arianna didn't want to sit, so she went through the outfits one by one, looking for faults and positive aspects of the designs she was looking at.

Finally, Arianna chose a variety of bright maxi dresses and plump flat shoes to go with them. The crew left the boutique in style after Leah paid for the outfits.

The same thing happened in every store the group visited; she selected dresses, shorts, pants, shoes, bags, and whatever else caught her eye. She went shopping for a bit before stopping for a break at a local café, where she bought cake and juice. A number of people were eating their cake in the café as she was eating hers.

They didn't know how to stop as Arianna's way of eating was just too adorable and sweet to ignore. Arianna devoured the cake as if she were the only one present.

[I wish I could have a daughter who's like her.]

Leah smiled as she shook her head; to be honest, Arianna looked so adorable that Leah wouldn't mind having a younger sister like her too.

Arianna finished her meal and smiled as she walked out of the café, returning to her shopping. She spent this round of shopping on purses, jewelry, and cosmetics. As a result, this round of shopping took another two hours, and by the time she was done, she was so exhausted that all she wanted to do was soak in a warm bath and sleep for a long time.

The guards carried her shopping bags as she finished her shopping, leaving her with only a little bag containing her phone and some lip gloss in her hands.

On her way out of the mall, she was stopped by two young girls in their teens who were shyly smiling at her, making her wonder what they were thinking. When the girls handed her a box of pizza, she froze for a moment then relaxed thereafter.

They were all worried, but the girls breathed a sigh of relief when Arianna took the gift with a cheerful smile. She took a few selfies with the girls before hopping in her car and driving home. It was exciting to be famous.
