CHAPTER 24: PARENTS’ GIFT

Arianna was worry-free with just over a week till classes began, and she was currently seated in her study, her door locked, embroidering the last handkerchief.

Arianna decided to make something for her parents as she was learning to sew and embroider because they have everything they need. She wanted to give something to her parents that they would remember.

She had Leah go out and get some silk fabric and thread so she could get some work done. She had just finished the first one and was about to give it to her father. She embroidered an eagle on her father's hanky, spite of the fact that the eagle wasn't as lively as it should have been.

She was still learning and couldn't demonstrate the eagle's majesty at the time. She might have chosen a different animal or pattern to embroider, but her father loves eagles, so she chose this one.

The one she was working on belonged to her mother and was made of white silk material, unlike her father's, which was black. She embroidered several bright flowers for her mother, a yellow and a blue one.

She stitched her parents' initials at the bottom of the two hankies so that everyone knows that the hankies belong to them and no one else.

Arianna grinned as she cut the last thread with a scissor, pleased with the results of her labor. Arianna asked Ellie, the young maid, to assist her with the ironing because she couldn't possibly do it all by herself.

"How may I assist you, young lady?" Ellie inquired anxiously, since she was still new and didn't want to end up on this ancestor's bad side.

Arianna firmly ordered Ellie, "Help me iron these two hankies and make sure you are cautious."

Ellie eagerly agreed and promptly took the two hankies in her hands as if they were some magnificent treasures. Ellie hurriedly exited Arianna's study and dashed to the laundry room, where she meticulously arranged everything.

"What is that?" another senior maid inquired as she came to a dead standstill next to her.

Ellie replied, brushing away the other maid, "An errand of the young lady, I need to complete this quickly."

Ellie's senior maid sensed she didn't want to converse and decided to leave her alone. Ellie began ironing the hankies when she noticed she was alone. Ellie couldn't help but praise her young lady; if she hadn't noticed the minor cuts on her young lady's fingertips, she would have assumed it was someone else who had done it.

Ellie quickly ironed the hankies, then returned to Arianna's room and knocked. She walked into the room, unlocked the door, and went straight to Arianna's study, where she found her designing some gift boxes. It felt very great to Ellie to see that these hankies were likely gifts for the duke and duchess.

"Here are your hankies," Ellie remarked, placing the two on the table with care.

"Thanks, you may now leave," Arianna said as she lifted her head and smiled at Ellie.

After Ellie had left, Arianna took the two hankies and placed them in their separate boxes. She exhaled the breath she had been holding when she was done. It felt wonderful to finally complete this; all she had to do now was hope that her parents like it.

She couldn't do it in her previous life because she was alone and didn't have any parents to look after her. Her grandma passed away before she could provide more for her, something she deeply regretted.

She was going to do her best and give out as much as she could now that she had the opportunity to give back. She was intending to use other things she had in her possession rather than money since she what she could give cannot be bought with money and was priceless.

She hadn't had a normal meal with her family in far too long, and she was worried she wouldn't be able to see them again. Arianna chose to leave the gifts in their bedroom because she couldn't present them to them directly. This way, when they arrive, they'll be able to see them right away.

Arianna walked to her parents' room for the first time since she had taken over this body. The room wasn't as spectacular or lavish as her own. It was simple and refreshing. She made her way to the bed, which was draped in brown chocolate bed linens. She placed the gift boxes on the respective pillows and took a few moments to look around the room before leaving, as intruding didn't feel nice.

Arianna decided to walk outside and get some fresh air in the garden after everything was finished. She was accompanied by a retinue of maids, as if she were some ancient princess or consort of some sort.

But she enjoyed it so much that she wished it would continue to be like that in the future. Arianna, who was enjoying the fresh air and appreciating the many lovely flowers in the garden, couldn't help but take a few selfies for herself.

Taking selfies reminded her of posting on social media, prompting her to visit Arianna's page, which enraged her to the point of wanting to strangle the former host. She had no intention of continuing to use this page in any way.

As a result, Arianna deleted the page as soon as her fingers would allow, and it was only then that she smiled. After witnessing their young lady's unusual behavior, the maids could only keep their thoughts to themselves.

Arianna sat on the bench, phone in hand, and started creating a new V-social account for herself. It didn't take her long to register, and she went under the pseudonym NanNan instead of her real name because she didn't want too many people following her around.

Arianna then shared her first photo, which also happened to be her profile photo. The selfie captured every angle of her tiny and petite face, and it was a photo of her smiling with sunflowers as her background.

She chose the photo because it depicted a vivid and joyful young girl. After making the photo her profile picture, she went on to post a few more photos she had taken after transmigrating, all of which were adorable and revealed a new Arianna.

After dealing with this new account, Arianna was in a great mood so she decided to stalk a few people and see what they were up to.

And what she got was so worthy it, she ended the day with a bang.
