What Have You To Bargain With Me

"A mortal… here?"

I tried to look for the voice, but I couldn't see anything. Everywhere I looked, it was pitch black, and the movement of my arms and legs were sluggish, as if I was buried deep in the ocean.

"Who are you."

I yelled out a question hoping that maybe this 'person' I'm talking to is somewhat calm and reasonable.

"Hmm… how amusing."

Suddenly the voice spoke once more and I immediately covered my ears. The sound was so loud it felt like a thunderstorm was trapped inside a room and I'm standing directly in the center of it.

"Ahh!"

I groaned in pain as I felt my bones shiver from the vibrations. Never in my life have I ever experienced something like this. It's as if someone attached speakers inside my body and put it on max volume.

"Duk* Duk* Duk* You can't even handle this? Click* Pathetic."

'What?'

Hearing the voice openly mock me somehow pissed me off.

I mustered enough strength in my body to stand upright, but the pressure was still too strong, forcing my back to lean forward at a slight angle. I pushed my head up, my neck straining against the force, and opened my eyes while activating [Bane of Lies] and what appeared in front of me left me stunned.

"I-I."

I stared blankly into space with my eye's wide open. My words stuttered from the absurdity of what I'm seeing.

"Interesting. Click* Click* You're quite strong for a mortal. But, that begs the question Doh* Doh* Doh* how did you get here?"

"…"

Then at the corner of my eye notifications of level-ups appeared, which brought me back to my senses.

'Why am I leveling up? Does it have something to do with this guy?'

Seemingly sensing my thoughts, the creature let out a breath of air nearly pushing me off my feet.

"My… you're a lot more interesting than I thought. How are you doing that? It's as if you're gaining strength by merely standing near my presence."

The creature quickly assessed what was going on with a questioning tone. Then suddenly the creature's eye appeared in front of me.

I nearly fell on my ass when I saw a giant snake-like eye appear in front of me. Its sharp vertical pupil, with an orange sclera, kept peering all over my body, assessing every inch of my physique.

But what's even more disturbing was the absolute size of the eyeball.

If I were to put it into perspective, if I looked up, I would need to completely turn my neck 90 degrees to at least see half of the pupil.

I can't help but think, if this is how big the eye is, then how big would the body be?

The thought alone sent a shiver down my spine, yet right now, I'm standing right in front of it.

"Speak, mortal. How did you get here."

Immediately snapping me out of my thoughts the creature once again asked me a question.

I took a couple of steps back and calmed my voice,to try to keep my nervousness from being noticed.

"I was transported here against my will. I also didn't expect it'd bring me here..."

"Brought here by accident? Impossible. No mortal nor god can set foot into this prison. Thud* Yet you're telling me you did? A mere mortal who hasn't even lived a century? Blasphemy."

A snarl came out of its slips as the giant head turned to the side revealing the other eye.

I gulped the remaining saliva in my mouth. Then

It opened its eyes, not 2 but 10, with 5 on each side. Seeing them all open and directly looking at me, I felt like my whole body was dissected open, my insides observed and recorded in the creature's memories.

But what was even more terrifying are the long sharp teeth in its maw. Each is nearly the size of a small building.

I strained my neck to look up, to try to see the top of its head. A crown of 7 horns shaped like scythes pointing away from its face.

The sheer size of this creature's head alone defies all logic.

And seeing the creature glaring down at me with its overwhelming presence, I felt weak and powerless, nothing I do or say can help me.

Yet… why does it bother me so much?

This force of nature, this god-like being, an entity beyond human comprehension.

Shouldn't it be natural to cower in fear?

'No… I don't allow it.'

The trepidation I felt the moment I arrived in this place completely vanished. My body has already become accustomed to this bone-crushing pressure and my spine stood upright.

I lifted my head with ease and stared directly into the creature's eyes.

Every eye opened wide slightly with surprise and amusement.

"You… you don't fear me… who are you?"

"My name is Luke. And I'm here to bargain."

The creature's head tilted to the side, an inquiring look on its face.

"A bargain… a bargain he said."

The creature repeated itself, as if in disbelief from what I said.

"Me, bargain with a mortal? HUAHAHAHA."

The creature bellowed out a thundering laugh, and my body which was accustomed to the pressure was being pushed back.

"Amusing. Never in my lifetime have I met a mortal like you. You speak as if you have something I want. But…"

The creature stopped for a moment then a ball of light flew out of its mouth.

It floated toward me until it stopped right in the center. Then within less than a second, it exploded into bright light, fully illuminating the dark abyss.

I closed my eyes from the initial flash, but as soon I opened them, the sight in front of me surpassed my imagination.

I observed the creature's entire body, a titan, a size beyond anything I could've imagined.

It had 4 massive arms each the size of a skyscraper, with claws that seemed like they can pierce through anything.

Dark scales covered the entire length of its body, not a weak spot to be seen. Then black-colored tendrils wiggled on its back as if each had a mind of its own.

Behind everything else were 2 massive wings with draconic-like features stretched beyond the sky.

But despite everything that I've seen, something caught my attention the most.

Binding the entire creature, from every limb to tentacle, were massive platinum gold chains with a magical aura exuding from the surface.

Upon a closer look, runes can be seen engraved on the chains, each letter seemingly more intricate than the last.

Seeing such a terrifying creature chained and sealed only made me wonder who could do this to such a being.

"Do you see now mortal? What have you to bargain with me?"
