Unfortunate Interruption

Xerxes shoved her against the wall and she pulled him to her. If they were doing this she was not going to play coy and neither was he. Her mouth was over his and her taste was the same as her blood, just a little duller. He wanted her clothes gone, but couldn't remember the words to make that happen. Whatever wasn't like he didn't have other means. He just gripped her shirt and ripped, she tore at his. He really liked her assertive and nearly aggressive behavior. It matched his own, she was damn exciting.

He couldn't believe her response to him, he never would have guessed it, and he was glad for it. It was exciting and a turn-on. He'd never had a partner so eager as she was. Well at least as eager as he felt. She shoved the shirt from his shoulders and moved her hands over him, god she was so smooth and soft. Perfectly feminine.

Kendra couldn't even tell you what the building behind her felt like at the moment. She was lost at the firm feeling of him against her. If he didn't take her soon she was going to go mad with the desire of it. Honestly, both of them should be a bit concerned with this reaction. They weren't thinking just going with it. Who needed to think, when acting nearly animalistic was so much more fun? She pushed at her own pants and gripped his. You'd have thought that they were starving for the other. Like long-lost lovers that were dying for a taste. The way that they were pushing and pulling at clothes and each other at the same time. Neither cared how irrational it was.

"I want them off." She practically growled, yanking at his pants. Her mouth moved against his chest. His hand was gripping her hair. A hand pressing rather hard behind her to the building. Oh please let her keep going, if she got down on her knees right here and took care of the fierce arousal he had, he'd fucking mate her for sure whether she was his mate or not.

Kendra felt a sudden shiver go down her spine and it was a feeling of dread. She stopped what she was doing and looked around pressed as she was to him. It was like an ice-cold bucket of water hitting them both with that energy. Xerxes felt it from her first before he realized the dark feeling. Something was coming and this could be a seriously explosive situation all around. Oh, but he really didn't want to stop. He thought about just taking her with him. Fuckng shit, no the more serious matter was her staying where she was so that he could destroy the group with her help.

"It's Jin," Kendra said knowing the feeling. He must have noticed that she left and was searching for her energy signal to come to get her and bring her back. She was sure Jin had been told to keep an eye on her. She realized that Xerxes wasn't making an effort to hide his energy and she was suddenly worried that he knew he was here. They were both standing here less than half dressed, if seen it would be pretty hard to explain away.

"He has to feel you." Xerxes looked toward the alleyway and then up. He made a very angered and annoyed sound.

"We're going up." He said and she just nodded. She reached down, grabbed the shredded clothing, and took hold of him. She had to close her eyes with the sudden rush of movement upward. It was kind of nauseating. They were on the rooftop and he set her down pulling her into a run over the rooftops. She was still clutching the ruined clothes but she couldn't help but stare at his back. He had wings, she knew she saw them, but they weren't there now. How amazing.

He took hold of her after a few buildings and jumped down. This time she did see the wings and they landed. They were gone again and he was looking at her. Strange to feel such disappointment and she also saw it on his face.

"Obviously it'll have to wait, your demon friend is coming this way. Fast." Xerxes said.

She couldn't help the disappointment, damn and she really had wanted to. She kind of felt like striking out at something. He looked like it, he moved crowding her space. His hands moved over her exposed sides and his mouth brushed over hers.

"I'll be back later." That was a definite promise. That was exciting, Kendra was more than willing to continue. It was thrilling in her opinion, she felt rebellious and the desire to just do what she wanted. Having who she wanted mattered more than some human assholes.

"How later?" She asked, wanting to know and to be prepared. He tended to just show up at random times unexpectedly. Though his reason for showing up next… made her rather excited and giddy. She was hopeless, but could you blame her?

"Sooner than later," Xerxes said and glanced down the street. She looked and then back to where he was but he was already up the side of the building. She turned darting down the alleyway. She had to dart from shadow to shadow. She was barely half dressed and she didn't know how she was going to get back like this unnoticed.

Kendra came around a corner and saw Demetri's shop. It was late but she just knew the door would be open. She prayed that he really was blind and not really faking it or something. Awe what the hell, the old man probably didn't get much excitement in his life, let him look. She needed clothes, Kendra ran over and went inside the dark shop. If she remembered right he had wards set. Or she hoped he did against evil things.

"Hello?" She whispered and there was a very soft light at the desk and what sounded like light talking. She moved around a shelf having slipped her pants on, but clutched the rest of the ruined clothing to her covering herself. The talking stopped as she appeared.

"Well, I can say this isn't exactly how I thought we'd meet again," Demetri said with a smile. "Isla, would you go get her a shirt, and Jax go with it." Jax was keeping his gaze averted and had a red face. Not like Kendra was really showing anything but her stomach.

"What happened?" He asked curiously coming toward her. It was nice to just get some help. Demetri was a good man in her opinion. Though she kind of felt like laughing.

"Um, well I kind of… wasn't using my head." She settled on that and he stood looking at her.

"So you weren't attacked right?" He asked and seemed concerned for a moment. Did she look that disheveled?

"No, no." She said.

"So why are you with such ruined clothes?" He asked and she looked at him.

"How do you know, without being able to see?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. He just pointed to the center of his head.

"I have the third eye." He laughed. Isla came back and handed her a shirt. She let Demetri take the ruined clothes and she turned around slipping the shirt on. She turned back around and Demetri was frowning feeling the clothing.

"There are men's clothes here, or a torn shirt, besides your own." Kendra looked at it. She hadn't wanted evidence left there, just in case. "You also have a follower waiting outside. He's not coming in either. I have wards against his kind." Good that was what she thought.

"Thank you for the shirt," she said. "I wasn't sure where to stop and get one." She smiled at that. Demetri just gave a nod, the two children were up talking and reading at the front desk. Demetri lifted the clothes closer to his face and seemed to be thinking. He had a small shocked look suddenly.

"This is from Xerxes," Demetri said and she wasn't sure she liked the sudden amused and sly smile on the old man's face. Kendra cleared her throat and tried to sound nonchalant, but she failed at it.

"Sorry, who?" Demetri lowered his arms and took the clothing, as he turned.

"I'll get rid of these for you, and you know exactly who I'm talking about. Didn't realize the two of you were an item. Guess I didn't have to play coy before." If she didn't know better, it sounded like he was teasing her. She glanced toward the outside. She could feel Jin waiting out there.

"Uh, we aren't an item." What a bizarre old man. Demetri tossed the clothes and made a motion. A second later there was a pile of dust in the trash can.

"No, so you just are that free with people you don't know?" He asked smiling, she felt uncomfortable even if he was teasing her, and she knew he was.

"It just sort of happened."

"She has a mark on her neck," Isla said with a giggle and Demetri smiled at her. Kendra reached up and covered the spot. It burned at her touch and sent a throbbing low in her stomach. She was still on edge and needy feeling.

"You two, off with you now. It's late." Demetri said and they gave a sigh, but did as he asked disappearing up a set of stairs. He waited a moment and then looked toward her.

"If you don't mind me asking. Did you honestly respond to him or was this just a kind of lonely want?" What the hell would he ask that for? What a personal question. She felt oddly compelled to answer, but uncomfortable at the same time. Why would he care?

"I don't jump people if that is what you are asking." She said defensively and she glanced at the crystal. "I never had such a reaction to another person before, be they human or not. I ignored it at first, non-humans tend to have that draw. Definitely not the same thing." Demetri stroked his beard for a moment thinking and then gave her a wide smile.

"Well, that is the best news I heard all night." She gave him a confused look but it was lost on him. Kendra suddenly hoped she wasn't wrong about him and he was really some kind of pervert. She did nearly laugh at that thought.

"I knew my feelings regarding you were right. Marvelous."

"What are you talking about?"

"Nothing." He said waving his hand. "Doesn't matter, what happens, happens. Not my place to interfere. However, that demon out there is growing restless. He feels you here and the energy from Xerxes." He said gesturing to the crystal, he may think that you are here with him. Make sure when you leave that he sees the crystal through the window, hmm?" He said touching her neck and healing the bruise forming.

"Yes, okay."

"Good." He said patting her arm. "I'm always open for friends, don't waste your choice, Kendra. You only get one time. I'll be very put off with you if you choose something foolish."

"I don't see why that matters right now. It's my choice." She said reminding him.

"That it is." He gave yet another smile. "Try to come here next time dressed, hey?" He laughed and she felt the blush on her cheeks and straightened up turning to leave.

"You just wish I hadn't had the clothes hiding me from view. Sadly that's as much as you'll ever get from anyone old man." He laughed a bit more. Demetri was reminded of Xerxes right there and Demetri was very glad to give a hand here. He truly hoped for his friend.

"What a sharp tongue." She just smiled to herself leaving out the door. She was in a suddenly very good mood. Though there was a touch of disappointment and she glanced skyward.

"What have you been doing?" Came a sharp and angry voice to her left. She turned and looked at Jin who was standing there, his eyes nearly solid black. She felt instant hate for him and could easily lie through her teeth to this demon.
