Chapter 3 The dream like state

Xua Yan, after being transferred to the new body of a 13-year-old orphan boy, started learning about his new life. He discovered that this boy had no memories of his childhood but had clear memories starting from when he was 5 years old. His first memory was of himself standing on a narrow street in the city, staring at a jade pendant hanging from his neck. He remembered carefully putting the pendant away in his clothes, as if it was the most precious thing in the world to him.

As Xua Yan delved deeper into this new body's memories, he learned about the boy's struggles to survive on the streets and how he eventually managed to get a job at a restaurant. He saw how the boy had to work hard to make a life for himself, despite the hardships he faced. He also came to understand the significance of the jade pendant, and how it represented hope for the boy.

One day, while he was on his way with a jar of wine to serve a young master from a wealthy family, Xua Yan witnessed a brutal rejection from the young master's female companion. The young lady insulted and rejected the young man, and walked away from the private room. As Xua Yan stood at the door, the young man, feeling embarrassed and angry, took out his frustration on him, brutally beating Xua Yan to death for no reason. He then ordered his men to dispose of Xua Yan's body by throwing it over the city wall into the jungle, to prevent the law enforcement officers from causing any trouble for him

After Xua Yan regained all of his memories in his new body, he began to feel that his body was in sync with himself, as if this was his true body. But, as he remembered, his body should have had many scars and bruises from the previous fight, yet he found no physical evidence of any injuries. He was confused and puzzled by this, but eventually, he put it aside and began to search his surroundings, trying to find any clues as to how he ended up in this dark and unknown place.

As Xua Yan lays on the bed, he suddenly feels the darkness around him start to light up. His vision becomes blurry and in a dream-like state he feels as if he is being transported to a different place. When he regains his vision he finds himself standing in a super galaxy, surrounded by clusters of other galaxies. As he looks around in awe, he notices a massive snow leopard-like creature, as large as a small galaxy, destroying other galaxies and charging towards him. The creature's eyes locked onto him, and Xua Yan could sense the immense power and destruction emanating from it. He realized that he had to act fast and figure out a way to defend himself before the creature reached him. But when he actually looks at the creature he starts having this feeling that he should just kill himself and offer his blood as a sacrifice for the creature. He was just about to kill himself but at the last moment he realized what he was doing. The creature was emitting some kind of energy that was making it hard for Xua Yan to move his body. At this moment of life and death Xua Yan was only able to remembered the oldman's teaching that "even you are facing an imminent death In a fight then you have to stand on your ground in front of your opponent like a true warrior." After this thought he regains his calmness and starts looking at the whole scene as if he was looking at a film playing in front of him.

Just as the creature reaches Xua Yan, a young man in his 30s appears and starts to fight the creature. The young man seems to be playing with the creature, effortlessly dodging its attacks and counter attacking with lightning-fast strikes. With a net like weapon, that young man captured the creature that was giant like a galaxy and compressed his form into a small cat like creature and put that creature inside an egg.

The young man then turns to Xua Yan and looks directly at him and with a friendly smile he says "Finally, after 3000 years of time, we are going to get a new junior brother in our sect." He then took an egg out of nowhere and handed it over to Xua Yan and told him that, "This is our first meeting gift to you. But in order to open this gift you have to work hard with your training, now go back and start your journey, your senior brother and sisters will be waiting for you." After he said this he made a strange symbol in the air with that Xua Yan again felt his vision blurring and he started hallucinating about many things and finally started feeling some real cold and opened his eyes.

Xua Yan slowly opened his eyes, squinting against the bright light filtering through the trees. He felt a moment of disorientation as he took in his surroundings. He was lying on the cold, snowy ground of a dense forest. He couldn't remember how he had gotten there or what had happened to him. As he tried to sit up, he felt a sharp pain coursing through his body. He couldn't help but let out a scream of agony as he lay back down on the ground.

It took him a few moments to catch his breath, as he tried to make sense of what was happening. Then it all came back to him in a rush. He remembered the ancient artifact, intense fight in the temple and getting shot. He remembered the feeling of his blood from his old body being sucked inside that ancient artifact, and the sensation of him being transferred into a new body. He realized now that he was indeed in the same forest where his new body had been thrown by the servants of that young master.

Xua Yan took a deep breath, trying to calm himself as he assessed his new body. He noticed that all his limbs were working fine and there was no broken bones or bleeding. He realized that the pain was coming from the usual soreness and discomfort of adjusting to a new body. He slowly sat up, with a sense of relief that he was in one piece.

But as he sat there, taking in his surroundings, he realized that he was extremely hungry and weak. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks, and he knew that he had to find food and shelter soon.

As Xua Yan struggled to his feet, he knew that his first priority was to find food. He had been in this forest before and knew that it would be difficult to find anything to eat. He searched through the underbrush, looking for berries or nuts, but found nothing. As the hours passed, his hunger became more and more intense. He knew he had to find something to eat, or he would not survive.

In his desperation, Xua Yan turned to the only thing he could find: grass. He tore handfuls of it from the ground and ate it, relishing the small amount of sustenance it provided. He knew it wasn't much, but it would have to do for now. He ate until he couldn't eat anymore, feeling a little bit better, but still weak and hungry. He knew he needed to find a proper food source soon, or he would not survive. He also knew that he needed to be careful of wild animals that may be lurking around in that area.

Xua Yan knew that he needed to find a proper food source soon, so he decided to set up some traps to catch small wild animals. He remembered from his past life that he had experience in setting up traps and hunting, and he decided to put that knowledge to use. He searched through the forest, looking for the materials he would need. He found some branches, twigs, and some thin vines.

With these materials, he set out to create six different types of traps. He used the branches to make a deadfall trap, which would crush the animal when triggered. He used the twigs to create a snare trap, which would catch the animal by the neck when triggered. He used the thin vines to make a net trap, which would ensnare the animal when triggered. He also used his knowledge to make pit trap, bamboo trap, and a spring trap using the natural resources available in the forest.

He set the traps In strategic locations, where he knew small animals like rabbits and squirrels were likely to travel. He marked the location of each trap in his mind, so he could check them later. He knew that it would be a waiting game, but he was confident that his traps would work.

As Xua Yan waited for his traps to work, he decided to take advantage of the time by analysing the memories of his new body. This new body was a kind of lonely being and didn't have a proper understanding of this world but what Xua Yan realised was that this was an ancient martial world, where strength and power were everything. He could sense that the world was brutal, and that the strong dominated while the weak submitted. He could see the distribution of power among the different sects, ancient families and clans, and kingdoms. He understood that in order to survive in this world, he had to be strong and powerful, or he would be easily defeated or can be killed by others, even without doing anything or any harm to them.

He also remembered that there were many ancient families and powerful sects that controlled the kingdoms, and they were always vying for more power and resources. He could sense that there were many martial artists and warriors in this world, all of them training hard to become stronger and more powerful. He knew that if he wanted to survive, he had to become strong or else he would die at any moment without even knowing the reason.

Xua Yan knew that he had to start training his martial arts and increase his own strength and power as soon as possible. He knew that the memories and experiences he had inherited from his past life and his new body would be a valuable resource in helping him to understand and navigate this world.

After learning and gaining a better understanding about this world and examining his current strength and conditions, Xua Yan came to a decision. He realized that he needed to stay in the forest for the time being and focus on getting stronger. He knew that this world was brutal and that the only way to survive was to be powerful. He also understood that he needed a safe place to rest and train.

Xua Yan had experience from his past life of training and surviving in the jungle, which came in handy in this situation. He knew how to make shelter, find food and water, avoid danger and how to survive in the wild. Using his past life experience, he set out to find a suitable location in the forest. He found a small cave hidden in the rocks. He knew that this would be the perfect place to stay, as it was hidden and would be hard to find.

He then started gathering materials, like branches, leaves, and rocks, to convert that cave into his stealthy shelter. He built a small fire pit outside the cave and started a fire to keep himself warm. He also built a bed inside the cave using branches and leaves, to make it comfortable to rest. He knew that it would be difficult, but he had the experience and knowledge from his past life to help him survive. He was ready to face the challenges of this world and make a name for himself as a powerful warrior. He knew that the forest would be his training ground, and he would not leave it until his body got completely recovered so that he could face the challenges from this new world.
