Esme didn't know what to do, she never had that type of problem, is not that she didn't have a lot of guys attracted to her, it was because she didn't want to, it had to be someone capable of loving only at her and never betray her, only because she wanted to control it didn't mean she was a girl without the desire to be loved, but the situation she was in it was complicated. The problem was that she liked Klain a lot but she knew that, if she started to date him, her friend could do something that he didn't want, Dylon was capable of killing anyone who touched her, he already did that to one of her friends, Julia and Esme didn't talk to him for two weeks.

"I don't know what is in his head?" she said while walking along Klain. "Why he is overprotecting me, is not that I am his girlfriend."

"Is because you are his mate!" Klain answered sadly, it looked like he knew why Dylon was reacting like that and she wanted to know, mate isn't what animals do? Neither of them was an animal.

"What do you mean by mate?" Esme asked confused. "Don't the animals do that?", she wasn't sure that could get an answer from him but when she saw him moving his lips to answer, she became anxious and was fixed on him.

"Yeah! Because he is a vampire. The werewolves are like that too."

"That I know!" she said looking at him like she wanted to say something else but the words couldn't come out of her mouth. "If I was his mate why didn't he tell me earlier?"

Klain looked away without answering and both of them went home without a word, not until dinner time arrived.

"Are you from a rich family?" asked Klain's father, "You have great manners. That school must be great."

"I don't want to make a bad impression!" she said smiling, then she looked to Klain and without stop smiling she said touching his arm, playfully. "He is a great man. He taught me how to behave in front of people before he asked my hand in marriage."

Klain understood that she was helping him so entered the act too, what went terribly since that he never lied before to his parents.

"Are you going to participate in tomorrow's game?" asked the mother, surprising the girl, she had forgotten about the game. The other year they had to clean school but, how it was their first game they forgave them and told them that next year they would play for real.

"Yeah!" he answered and when the girl was about to speak, he gave a kick under the table for her to shut up, he realized that she was going to talk about the game and that way, the school would know who she was.

"Sorry." Esme murmured looking down. "I forgot."

"You like gardening, right miss Helen?" asked the woman with a hopeful expression.

The girl only moved her head, the way the woman looked at her was too scary and the girl didn't want to use words that could make that woman mad, she knew exactly the type of woman she was so Esme decided to step away.

"If you excuse us, we have to prepare for school tomorrow, we have a big day tomorrow," he said taking the girl's arm and taking her to his bedroom, what made her suspicious about the motive he brought her to his bedroom, it was weird.

"Why are we in your room?" asked the girl confused, "I am going back to my room."

"Wait!" he pleaded, "I have something to show you, this can't be delayed."

She sits down on the bed waiting for him to start explaining, he went to his desk that was next to the bed and took out a small book that gave to her. When she touched the book he started to shine, which made the boy move away for her and stop when he touched the wall behind him.

"Why are you there?" she asked and then felt that something was wrong. "What did you do to me?"

"Is for you own good," he said while trying to not look to her eyes, what made her confused, why was he looking away?

She threw the book to him and before she could get up, everything around her disappeared, what made her confused, was that all a dream?

Esme realized that she was on a bed and was all packed up, she couldn't move or see, but after some more tries, she got out of the bed and felt down.

"You have to make a decision." said something getting her in the bed again, what made the girl panic, where was she?

"Which decision? Who are you?"

The person didn't answer and after a while, she could see again and was in the middle of a room and an old woman was getting her out of the bandages that were around Esme's body.

"I told you that he wasn't someone trustful," said Dylon getting in the room and the woman went away when he was next to the girl.

Esme didn't know what to say, he saved her from them, at least was what she thought until everything went black again and she was in Klain's room again. He wasn't there and she was under the blankets.

"Where are you, Klain? What happened?"

"It's too late," said Dylon next to her, with his hands on the head and looking down, he had been crying and she didn't like that at all.

Esme was about to get up when she felt a weight on her and she laid down again, the boy looked around and then gave her a key.

"The only way to get you home is in the Enter Chester game!"

"And, how am I suppose to do that if I can't go with anything in my hands at the game?"

He gave her the key, caressed her face and got out of the room, but before he got out, Klain entered the room and gave a hug to Dylon, making her confused, weren't they enemies?

"Take care of her!" he asked Klain while he was closing the door, "She can't know yet!"

"What do I have to know?" she asked making Dylon get out more quickly and Klain sit down next to her.

"You only need to know that nothing is your fault and that everything is going to be ok when you get out of here."

"If I let her," said Klain's father at the door, making the boy get up and transform in a black and blue wolf, with the purple eyes she saw the first day she got in the academy.

"Go away!" ordered Klain through the mind, "I don't know how many minutes can delay him. He is an Alpha."

She didn't move, not until the man transformed into a wolf bigger than the black one and Klain wasn't a small wolf.

"I'll see you at school. Now go!"

She looked around and started to run when she saw a portal, Esme didn't want to leave him but she still wanted to go back home, mostly because she was found, but she didn't want Klain to die and if going to her world could save him, so it would be.

She was in the bathroom, her gym clothes were already there and she hurried up to dress up, then she ran out of there and went to the field, the game had already started.

"Do you know what time is it?"

"I'm... I'm sorry coach, but I had problems to get here."

The coach sent her to the benches and after a while, he asked for a substitution and she got in the game. After running for some minutes, she got the key out of her chest and looked for the goalkeeper and when she saw him, she ignored everything else and started to run, making the people think what was happening?

"You will see who I am," she said while taking her wig out and making his arms getting into fire, the only element that was extinguished from that world. the guards and players were trying to stop her, but she held down until she jumps on the boy and concentrated before she stuck the key in his chest, making him start to change and she tried to get the key out, but he didn't let her.

"Is the only way." Klain said crying, "I love you too much to hold you in this world, please forgive me."

"NO!" she shouted before she wakes up in a hospital bed, with a key in her hand.

"Welcome back Esme!" said a woman entering the room, smiling. "Because of you the war could start and the only one who could save it is here."

The girl was about to speak but the woman disappeared and a doctor entered the room, getting surprised when he saw her sitting. But even if she was back in her world, the girl couldn't take out of her mind the feeling of guilt.
