The Legion. (Season 2 Finale)

The building on the inside looked more like a large office than anything else, which is not what Chris expected. It led into a small room with glass for the walls. You could see into the space, it was a little shop with a few people inside of it. What he also didn't expect was how many people there was inside the building. When they walked in, there was a waiting room, with a few beings sitting on a bench. They weren't all human. To the right there was a booth with a lady inside writing something down. To the left was a picture of a lake. The lady poked her head up, "Holy! Evan! Welcome back!" She pressed a button and the handle on the door lit up green. The four walked in, as the door shut, Chris heard one of the men say, "So that's what he looks like huh? Doesn't look like much." Chris scoffed, "That's what they all say, isn't it." He thought. The door they went through led to another room, an airlock almost. The walls were white and the floors made of concrete, just like the lobby that they were just in. A red light scanned them up and down. "Welcome Evan. Would you like to register the new comers?" Evan paused for a second then looked at them, "Yeah, let's do leadership though." "Will do!" The voice said. A red ball of light appeared, "Name." It said to Chris, who responded with his name, "Please take off the glasses." The voice said again, so Chris did. It shined a bright light for a split second right into his eye. "All set, welcome!" The voice said and moved onto Dean, who did the same process. Chris put his glasses back on. Evan pointed to a small hole in the wall. He walked to it, and a small card popped out. The card itself was black. The edges were glowing white. It had a picture of Chris with his name next to it. He slid it into his pocket. The door opened and Chris walked out, Evan followed. It was a very large office building. There were holograms just above everyone's head that had department names, Criminal/Law with an arrow to the right, Insurance with an arrow to the left, Exit with an arrow pointing behind them and Guardians pointed forwards. "That's where we're going." Evan told Chris when he saw that he was staring that way. Dean walked out with Dakota behind him. "Woah this is crazy!" Dean said. "Yeah it is!" Evan replied, starting to walk forwards. They passed by hundreds of desks with people working at each one of them. "All of them look so busy." Chris remarked. "Yeah, we're about to be coming back. With the forest changing like this, we've all been working over time." Evan replied. "What do you mean changing?" Chris asked. "That town we were just at? Yeah, that wasn't always like that. In fact, it was very recent." Chris nodded. The four got to the door and Evan swiped his card and the door opened. Inside there was another desk. "What do you want?" The lady at the desk hollered out rudley. "What did I say about the attitude, Belle?" Evan said, walking towards the booth. She looked up and her face lit up, "Evan! You're back! I heard that stuff is really rough out there. How bad is it?" She asked, "Oh it's rough. The magic has started to change, and people are forgetting about us." "I mean, its no wonder, we haven't done anything for them to remember us. But my dad, he's been out for a very long time. Longer than usual." Evan looked confused, "Where was he stationed at?" He asked. She looked around then back at Evan, "The forgotten." Evan's facial expression changed, "They have no right to send people there. Let alone people with children, I'll talk to them about this." "Thank you." She responded and the wall to the left moved, revealing a patch of blue carpet with glass rooms beside it. People were inside them. Some fighting, some at desks being questioned and some just sitting there hanging out. Each room was a little different. Some had red carpet, some had desks. But all of them could be customized. "Woah, what is this?" Dean asked. "This is the hideout, or so we call it. Its really just a resting area." "Is this where you live?" Chris asked. "No, not me. Some do, but I prefer to live in the forest, out in the open. "Huh, Evan your back." A man chuckled. "What took you so long? Did you get lost out there?" Evan mocked his laughter, "You wish. No, I was actually trying to fix the messes you guys have made." The man laughed, "What mess?" Evan scoffed, "Of course you don't know." They started to walk away when the man yelled out, "You act so tough but you're probably just as weak and frail as your parents were." Evan didn't stop walking, but everyone was looking at them. "What's going on here?" A man from one of the rooms yelled. He was in a black ballistic vest, black pants and a matching black shirt. He saw Evan, took a glance at the other boys, then passed them and at the man that was making fun of Evan. "Welcome back Evan." The man said, walking past them and started to yell at the other boys. Soon enough they got to another set of doors. Evan swiped his card and led them inside to another waiting room. "Hello! How can I help you?" The desk lady asked. The room was another waiting room. The walls were black and the carpets were red with black swirls running through them. "Officials please." Evan asked. "Sure thing, they'll see you in just a moment." She responded with a smile. As soon as they sat down, two men walked out, one of them dressed in all white with a white full face mask on, the other was in brown, scrappy, unwashed clothes. The man in brown thanked the man in white who gave a little bow, then waved at the four boys to come inside. They walked in, the doors shut and another set of doors opened into a hallway. At the end was a pair of golden doors. As they walked the man looked over at Evan, "We're glad you're back. A Lot has changed since you've been gone." Evan scoffed, "From my perspective, nothing has." "To you, maybe, to the forest, that's completely different." They reached the doors and the man opened them. When all the boys were in, he walked out. "Evan." A voice boomed around the dimly lit room. Evan waved his hands, "Stop, please. Just…" He sighed, "Just talk to me face to face." When he said that, two figures appeared in front of them. "Alright." the one on the right said, "The forest is changing. What have you done?" Evan glared at them, "My oh my, if looks could kill." The one on the left chuckled. "Why do you think I did anything?" Evan responded. "Because, we can feel a massive amount of new power from you." The one on the right said. "Yeah man, you're almost unbeatable now." Evan looked over at him, "Really. Name one person who can beat me." Evan told him. The two bienging looked at each other, "Uh us." The one on the left said. Evan put his face in his palm, then looked back up, "I doubt it." "Oh are you challenging us?" The one on the right asked. "You know what," Evan looked back at the other three, then back at them, "I am." The two of them both laughed, "Yeah, no." The one on the right said. "So, what did you do to the forest?" The one on the right asked, "I killed them." They took a step back. "All of them?" The one on the left asked. Evan nodded. The two looked at each other, they turned around and started to whisper to each other. The right one turned around followed by the left one. "So…" He paused, "Who's in charge?" The right one asked. "Lincoln." Evan responded. The two looked at each other, and nodded their heads. "Terrible choice, but as long as you know what you're doing." The one on the left said, "You know Evan, you can't just give everyone leadership." "Yeah, these four are far better than Deke and his boys." The two nodded. "I have a question, why did you send Belle's father to the Forgotten?" "Ah." The one on the left said. "It wasn't just her father." The one on the right said, and then continued, "Things down there are getting worse, we had to do something." "No, you don't. Let the Far Comers deal with it, like they have been for the past two thousand year." The two looked at each other, "That is true, but we want that land. It's perfect for growing our empire." "What empire?" Evan asked, starting to get mad. "The Legion. We have declared that we are going to be an empire." The one on the right told him "But you can't do that. You're barely even the owner, I should be the owner!" Evan yelled. "Calm down Evan, we know that it's a lot to take in." The one on the left said. "What's stopping me from taking over right now?" Evan yelled. "Because you would never be fit to lead. Infact, if you get enough votes from everyone here, we will give you leadership of The Legion." The one on the right told him. Evan looked at the other boys. "Alright, let's do it." The two smiled and sent them all out. They sat in the lobby as a line started to form. Slowly it moved, people glancing at them every now and again. Eventually the man in white came back out of the door. He walked them through the golden doors and there they were face to face with the beings, again. There was another person there, a man. He looked very malnourished. "The votes are in. It wasn't even close." Chris got a little nervous, but knew that nothing to terrible would happen. "It was two hundred fifty four to forty five. Congratulations Evan, you know are the owner of The Legion." The one on the right looked infuriated. "This is not how it was supposed to go!" He yelled. Evan said nothing except for pointing at the door. The beings walked out, and now Evan was in charge. "You." He said. A man from the darkness came out, "What's happened sense I've been gone?" "The biggest thing is probably us becoming an Empire." Evan nodded, "Stop all work of us becoming an empire, and start sending out messages that The Legion is back." The man nodded and ran out the door. A few moments later an announcement came over the intercoms, "Attention all! As you may know, we had a vote. The winner is Evan. The first order that he has given out is for all workers to stop production that we have become an Empire. We are coming back, send the message far and wide. The Legion is back." The intercom turned off and there was an audible cheer. Moments later the man ran back in, "What's your plan now?" Evan looked around the room. "To come back, stronger and better than ever. I want to change the way people think about The Legion, by putting out protection and support to all people. And anyone who opposes us, we will try and figure out a way for peace, but just know, if push comes to shove, they will be swiftly destroyed. Oh, and pull all Guardians out of the Forgotten." The man nodded. The word spread quick that The Legion was back and the plan that it was putting in place.
