Chapter 70 (Yes or no)

"It is impossible to answer that question with a yes or no because it is not a yes or no question." Nathan stated, his hands folded on his chest.

"Good point. Well I guess I have to rephrase it to suit the yes or no answer."

Fedora was still blanked out from the whole scenario between Nathan and Marcus. Even though they weren't in a heated conversation, she could tell that it wasn't going to be a friendly conversation either. She could only sit and watch as the events unfolds.

"Now tell me," Marcus continued, "do you love my daughter, Astrid?" Marcus asked but there was no response from Nathan. Whether he was trying to figure out what his answer will be or he just decided to be quiet wasn't what Marcus was here for. He was a straightforward man and just wanted to get the matter done with. 

"No." Nathan stated blatantly. "I don't love her but she is someone that I care about."

"What of Alysia? Do you love her?"

"No"
