Things had been going awry between Astrid and Alysia lately. They remained like cat and dog ever since Astrid found out about her affair with Nathan. The twin sisters remained cold towards each other and didn't speak to each other ever since then - a brutal malice that even their father Marcus noticed.

One of the usual things that happened in their home was their father inviting them to spend some time with him before he would continue with his external duties. During this period, Astrid and Alysia would converse with each other and play with each other in their father's presence but now things had gone sour between them and it was so obvious from Marcus's observation that his daughters were not in cordial relationship - the atmosphere had suddenly gotten cold and silence washed over the ambience of the room that they were seated. The three of them had been there for some time and yet he heard nothing from either of them.
