Chapter 104 (Denied)

Aria felt as though a sword pierced through her soul the moment she heard those absurd words from his mouth. The prince. The same man she loved and trusted. The same person that had just accepted the pregnancy a night before. Even though she couldn't figure out what the problem was, all she could ask herself at that moment was; why? Why exactly was he doing this?

She stared into his eyes thinking that the answers to her questions would be there but those eyes of his explained everything that she didn't want to believe - that he was serious with what he was saying.

She felt... betrayed.

Aria bowed her head in shame as the entire room was engulfed with silence. All she wanted was to disappear away from there as soon as possible.

"Young lady..." The voice of the king deepened this time and she knew that she was in for the worst turn of events. "My son says that he is not responsible for your pregnancy. Why would you make such a declaration?"
